I was going to suggest JoJo, there's a few in Next but mostly grey. DH picked this today, it was in with all the girls stuff but I can't see how it's not unisex! m.next.co.uk/g53768s9#442741

I like that slobber stuff but i don't think i could justify the expense. I'm going for everything second hand apart from stuff is essential to have new. I might treat myself to a lovely changing bag but couldn't spend more than say £40. Think i need a big one as twins.

MissClarke86 · 17/09/2016 21:57

I've become a bit obsessed with trying to feel my uterus, but as I'm a size 16-18 it's hiding under plenty of flab Sad

It feels harder when I'm standing up but it's my whole lower abdomen and not a "round ball" that everything describes. It also feels lumpy. I guess it could just be my stretching stomach muscles.

Anyone with any experience/knowledge of this?

Carolann8584 · 17/09/2016 23:18

miss I'm usually a 16 in jeans but have bought some size 18 dare I say jeggings that go over my bumpy bit, I can feel my ball if lying on my side, can tell the difference between my ball and flabby bits Smile then again I feel bigger but my weight hasn't gone up since the bloaty days of week 5-6 xx

Carolann8584 · 17/09/2016 23:19

And thats 3lbs in total so far xx

SuperDuperJezebel · 18/09/2016 09:36

Is there such a thing as over the bump maternity knickers? I can't do with under bump ones, and my normal pants are now giving me a glorious muffin top! Should I just size up for now?

NameChange30 · 18/09/2016 09:58

Super You probably can get maternity knickers but regular knickers in a bigger size would do the job!

I've been having a hard time finding maternity wear I like, but came across Vertbaudet yesterday - they have some good value options. Just thought I'd mention it, as it's a shop I hadn't heard of before.

Hi everyone!

I feel like I should introduce myself and join in... I've actually been active in the April thread but my due date was moved forward to end of march. Although I feel very behind everyone in here. I'm only 13 weeks.

Hope you are all doing well!

Dustycorners · 18/09/2016 22:36

Welcome Sussex!

Oh and I would just like to share this in case there are any fellow huge-breasted women on the thread...

I am usually a 34F and live in Freya Deco bras but they don't fit any more. I've been wearing an ugly, unflattering non-wired bra I got from Debenhams a while ago and it really needs a wash. But today (after a few failed attempts) I FINALLY found bra happiness in the form of the Panache Sophie Soft Cup Bra. It's non-wired, very comfortable and doesn't make my boobs look too squished or huge or pointing in opposite directions! Unexpected bonus: it also looks quite pretty! Shock The size I got is 38FF, which I have to wear on the tightest setting, but there are loads of hooks so you can loosen it as your rib cage grows.

THANK YOU BRAVISSIMO LADY.

Thanks for the recommendation namechange, I've put that on my "to buy" list for pay day next week!

MrsMushrooms · 19/09/2016 09:14

Hello, Sussex!! Welcome - I'm only 13 weeks as well (13+5) so you're not too far behind. We've got a good mix in here!

I'm glad you've found a bra you like, NameChange! There's not a much better feeling than a good bra :D I tried on the same one a few weeks ago and absolutely hated it for me :( I normally love Bravissimo but I didn't get on with any of the soft cups in my size - not that there were many! I'm normally a 38GG but I'm definitely more of a 40 back at the moment which makes finding bras a nightmare!

Hello all, good to see more positive scan results and some pram talk. We have an Oyster……because it was the only one that would fit in the boot of my mini. Very happy with it though. We are back from holiday and I thought I’d give an update on our tests.
The combined screening and harmony results were good, showing very low risk for any chromosomal abnormalities. So that was a huge relief. On Wednesday we had a scan at UCLH which unfortunately showed that our baby has a heart defect. We were referred to Great Ormond Street foetal cardiac department for more scans and went on Thursday. Our baby has complete transposition of the great arteries. Which basically means its heart is plumbed wrong and instead of the blood flowing in a figure of 8 passing between heart, lungs and body there are two circuits working in parallel. So oxygenated blood never reaches the body and deoxygenated blood never makes it to the lungs to pick up oxygen. While baby is inside this doesn’t matter but it becomes a problem once baby is born.
From now on our care will be at UCLH where we will have a scheduled delivery. After birth baby will be transferred to intensive care. Once stable and a good weight (likely 2-4 days) baby will be transferred to GOS for open heart surgery. We are terrified, devastated, shocked, but hopeful. GOS have said that the perform this procedure about once a week, that the outcome is good and that if the surgery and recovery go smoothly without complications then baby should have a good quality of life. They will forever be monitored by a cardiac team first at GOS but then with decreasing frequency at an adult hospital. Baby will never make the Olympic team but will be able to do all the normal things, school sports, climb trees chase sister.
We just have to hope that we don’t have any more surprises and everything goes as well as it possibly can with no additional complications. Sorry for the epic post, I’m still trying to process all that we have been told and DD had me up at 3 am this morning so I’m at work on very little sleep.

There is no pregnancy yoga or Pilates near me that I can actually go to. Only one I found was a daisy birthing class that I can't make as Friday evenings I'm always away. Feeling kind of bummed!

In better news my swimming costume came and it fits. I am a fairly crap swimmer but thought it would be good to try and get better as it would be exercise I could do all the way through.

I like walking but I've been plagued with hip and back issues which is stopping me.

Anyone else struggling with exercise? I think I'm feeling a bit cabin fever-y from sitting on my bum!!

Happygojo86 · 19/09/2016 09:23

I really recommend you go on 'boob or bust' on Facebook and put your measurements in. I am a size 16 and I am wearing a 36J on the tightest hook right now. I am actually a 34J/JJ but because I am pregnant I need one with back space to grow. So many ladies wear bras that are too big in the back and too small in the cup. Me and dozy are converts!

charlybs · 19/09/2016 09:23

Butter puff sorry to hear you had that scary news - hope that the hospital doing the procedure once a week gave some reassurance. That sounds like good odds. Sending you hope and hugs CakeCakeStar

Another fantastic resource for bra measurements is a Reddit boards called ABraThatFits - it's amazing!

SuperDuperJezebel · 19/09/2016 10:43

Butter, you poor thing. I don't know if I'd helps to reassure you but it sounds like the same thing my friends nephew had. It was obviously very scary for them but he did exceptionally well and is a big happy healthy school boy now. Wishing you the best of luck xx

Clarity77 · 19/09/2016 11:18

Butter sorry to hear that. What a lot of shock and worry for you BUT at least they have picked up the problem and have a plan to support you. Hope everything goes well.

Dustycorners · 19/09/2016 11:57

Butter I'm so sorry to hear you've had such frightening news. It must be so much to take in. It sounds like the medical view is a very reassuring one, but I imagine the shock makes it hard to look that far ahead right now. It sounds like you and the baby are going to receive great care. It's obviously not the start in life that any of us hope for for our babies, but it sounds like his/her life ahead need not necessarily be too affected by it in the long term, which is very good news. I hope you and your dp have lots of support in getting your heads around it all and that your feelings of hopefulness grow after you've had more time to process the information. You and the baby are in great hands Flowers

Happygojo86 · 19/09/2016 12:38

Sorry that you have had scary news butter, definitely sounds like you are in the right hands though and babies are crazy resilient to these kind of things. Much more than adults. Sending positive thoughts your way x
