Hi all,

I've not been able to long on regularly for quite a while so I've not kept up with these threads. It's lovely to see the bumps arriving safely after all the worries we had at the start.

Just wanted to report the safe arrival of our little boy on the 14th, weighing in at 9lb 1oz. He is beautiful and very laid back, just what we need with number two! Our two year old daughter is great with him already.

Good luck to everyone still waiting and congratulations to those getting to grips with their newborns

Bad news - my leak has entirely stopped, nothing since yesterday evening. Labour ward didn't want to see me in that case, so it's back to plan A - induction on thursday if no movement by then. I have a horrible feeling I'll be the only person left on this thread by then (probably still won't stop me posting every 5 minutes, lol!)

Hi everyone,

Benjamin james was born at 12.29pm on the 24th of january and was 6lbs 10oz.

The birth was much better than i could have hoped for. I had no pain relief apart from being in the birthing pool and overdosing on gas and air (gas and air is fab by the way!!), which was the way i wanted it. I managed to just avoid an episiotomy, but did tear a bit. But i got the completely intervention free birth i would have wanted had I actually made a birth plan.

ben is fab and has absolutely masses of black hair, which is so cute!!

2Happy, i can't believe you're still hanging on in there, was hoping to see your birth announcement when I logged on!! Sending you lots of good labour vibes!!!

Just wanted to pop in and say congrats to all those who've popped already, and good luck to those still waiting. My DD was born in Jan last year, it flies in SO quickly!

Haven't had time to catch up but I was induced on Wednesday morning after my waters startng leaking on Tuesday morning.

My beautiful baby girl was born at 10pm Wednesday 24 January - 6 lb 11oz.

No names yet - will catch up soon. Good luck to all you girls waiting and congratulations to my fellow new mothers!

Hi all!

Haven't been on here for a while - a newborn baby has been enough to cope with over the last weeka nd a half! Congrats to all of you who have had your babies and good luck to those of you who are expecting soon!

Have to say that the CS was the most surreal experience of my life! I actually woke up an hour early before going into hospital so that I could dye my hair! I couldn't believe I did it - I think it was just the shock at what was about to happen!

Rhydian was born at 10.26am on the MOnday and I was discharged at 11am on the Wednesday - very quick. SPD pain hasn't gone, but is much better than it was - just have to take things easy.

Podmog, I'm sorry you had a crap consultant appt. I had a shitty one the week before last too. I don't think it helps that my mw has never had kids and my obstetrician is male, but I really don't think that they understand how draining, tiring, frustrating, and difficult being very overdue is. I guess they must see it a lot, and see every one of those ladies eventually delivering, so it probably becomes water off a duck's back, but they forget that for each woman the distress is real and sometimes seems unending. A little bit of sympathy wouldn't go amiss, just a little! I know what they're saying is right - the earlier they intervene, the more likely you are not to labour naturally and the more likely to have an instrumental delivery etc... But you're right, it sometimes feels more unhealthy for the mother to become so frustrated and miserable, and I wonder about the effect it has on my baby, me wanting it anywhere but in my belly. I'm sorry, I want somehow to make you feel better, but I can't because only delivery will, but just wanted you to know that I'm sure all of us left on this thread knows what you're feeling, there may not be many of us, but you're not alone x

Hello Ladies!

I've had an eventful couple of weeks!

Developed choleostasis at 37 weeks, so went in a week ago to be induced, but my body just didn't react to the drugs, so had an elective section on tuesday 23rd!

Baby Zach arrived 7lb 3oz fit and healthy!!

I'm absolutely knackered but in love with him!!

Hope everyone is well,at some point i might have time to catch up with the news!!
