Very very late post, sorry very very busy!!

I had a baby girl, Matilda, on 13 January, 6lb 11.5 oz

I cannot believe how little free time I have had this time around, this is honestly the first chance I have had to post!Almost time for my 6 week check!!

I hope everyone is doing well and hope to join you all in a post natal group, once I locate it!!

Haven't posted for a while but couldn't believe reading poopynic's post just now - I have also named my daighter (born 24 Jan) Lauren Rose!

We obviously both have the same impeccable taste!

Congratulations to everyone who had had their babies.

Hi guys - sorry I'm a bit late in reporting that yes, Lauren Rose arrived on Friday 26 January - my induction day although a few "fiddles" down there by various people throughout the day culminating in a final sweep at about 8.30 pm led to a "spontaneous" labour and birth at 9.57 pm. Have posted details in "birth announcements".

I was really lucky to be seen to that day as lots of people at the Royal Free seemed to have to wait 2 or 3 days for a room to be free in labour ward so they could be induced!

We had to stay in a couple of days so Lauren could be observed for any signs of a Group B Strep infection - so far so good. Big sigh of relief. And hugely happy she turned out to be a girl. And feel soooooooo much better than when I was pregnant. All in all a very happy poppynic.

Good luck for tomorrow 2happy I was induced with dd they gave me a pessery at 9am said they would check me at 3pm to see if they could break my waters which they did and she popped out 2hrs later , bit different to my ds which was my first birth he took 26hrs !!!!

honestly, Trixy, I think even if no-one else ever posted I'd still keep wittering to myself on here . I'm ok, but getting pretty nervous about tomorrow, it's definitely harder being induced than waiting for it to happen, there's such a build up, it's scary. Just hoping it goes ok and I might be home with a new baby this time on Friday! Your pic is great - he's got fantastic hair hasn't he?

How are you doing 2happy? You seem to be keeping this thread going single handedly!!

Not long for you to go now either way though.

I'm feeling miles better than I did.Was having anxiety attacks in the middle of the night and not sleeping at all. I managed to get a good 6 hours or so last night which seems like loads given that we worked out that the last time I had a good sleep was the 21st!!

The labour bit was easy compared to the sleep deprivation!

Congratulations, FF, great news. I was like you last time - swore blind I didn't want an epidural, but ended up having to have one, promptly wondered what all the fuss had been about ! Wonder how poppynic got on, she was going to be induced on the friday when you had been going to get yours?
Just discovered some goats cheese, stilton and pate dh had hidden in the fridge to give me after Thursday, I looove him

Just to let you know that I gave birth to a healthy baby girl, Georgina Elizabeth, on Friday 26 January, weighing 6 lb 3 oz at 11.10 am. Went into early labour on the Thursday at 7 pm after a day of worry about being induced. Long story with the birth but ended up going into hospital very early on and with an epidural very early on (at 1cm dilated) because of over stimulating uterus which meant long contractions every 1 minute from the very start after my backache and show. Anybody still waiting - have an epidural - they are bloody marvellous - and this is from me who was adamant I didn't want one cos I was scared about the implications and even though it only worked on third go I don't think I could have done it without it TBH and the bloody brilliant midwives...
