It's sneeze birth's galore thanks to our fanny stretchers! We're soaking in piss and praying for Bat's hospital bag. We're avoiding our mens 'Annie Sloaners' and eating all the cake! It's JS Gras 39!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 39th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The 37th grads fred is HERE

The thread we have graduated from is HERE in its 53rd outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread HERE for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

HERE is the stats list, please update your own spot with any updates.

Poor Mr Ga puts up with a lot, doesn't he?

batfish · 02/10/2015 09:36

ga before I knew that was you I laughed at that point the most when I read the article, absolutely hilarious! Not sure whether to tell mr bat that the October girls contributed to the article or he may start wondering what we talk about!

Sympathies jelly it's horrid when you start to lose your sleeping powers, it's only happened to me fairly recently but it's pretty miserable especially if you've always been a good sleeper. My hips have been ok though, we have a memory foam topper on our mattress so I don't know whether that has helped?

So my poor cousin was 3cm dilated when she messaged me 11 hours ago and is still the same! I don't know exactly what the plan is as I don't want to pester her with loads of questions but feel so sorry for her, 11 hours with no progression Sad

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/10/2015 11:40

Exciting news. I sent my spares from the tests I took with this pregnancy off to my BFF who is TTC and she's done it! Magic tests! Grin

pretzelpieces · 02/10/2015 15:01

NFMB(belly button): Now half popped out (top half). Weirdness.

Have attached a pic of latest knitted object for mini pretzel. Just got to add the buttons. Me and DP have an ongoing joke about how the baby will repeatedly be mistaken for a pile of knitting as both nanas and my sis also knit.

pretzelpieces · 02/10/2015 15:02

Oh god bat your poor cousin! Shock

batfish · 02/10/2015 15:20

I know pretzel bless her! I haven't messaged her again but checked Facebook messenger and she was active on there 30 mins ago so even if things are progressing she can't be in majorly active labour Sad. Love the awesome knitting!

sky that's so cool that your tests were lucky for your friend! Congrats to her!

MollyBloomYes · 02/10/2015 15:41

Oh god bat how rubbish for her! 3cm isn't even far enough to get the good drugs really is it?

ga I'm glad (in a way) you also had a steam clean fail. Shows I'm not incompetent, the bloody things clearly aren't up to the job! And I snorted at the article. I'm experiencing a lot of no 7, DH gets entirely too freaked out by baby movements to consider fun times. It's been a long 6 months.

Off to friends' for the weekend for Rugby and games and food and a dog to entertain DS. Seriously, she's like Nana from Peter Pan I feel like I should give her childcare vouchers or something Grin

SkyWasMadeOfAmethyst · 02/10/2015 16:03

I'm so excited I could pee. Shock

pretz lovely knitting and fab colour!

bat I've got a feeling about you...

batfish · 02/10/2015 16:04

I'm not totally sure molly note to self to research labour but I think they don't count it as 'proper' labour at 3cm so no I guess not. She said she'd had some diamorphine so had been able to relax a bit. I'm eager for news from her but I'm sure she's got loads of people on her case so I'm trying not to pester her.

batfish · 02/10/2015 16:05

sky what kind of feeling??? Should I pack the bag?!

jellypi3 · 02/10/2015 16:13

I'm off to Spain viroids! :) woo.

Sky why are you excited

Have a fab time jelly!!

oneyorkshirepud · 02/10/2015 18:03

Have a fab time in Spain Jelly!! I have zero pieces of comfortable sleeping advice. My back and hips hurt like fooook when I am trying to sleep Sad. Going to try some of Pretzel's tips and make also get the sewing machine out and modify my dream geni to add more pillows. Will see the obstetric physio on Tues too so Wil report back. Cannot manage 10 more weeks like this, this does not happen to pregnant people on TV!!!!

CountryGal4 · 02/10/2015 18:04

Considering the baby show this weekend! Shit idea?

WouldRatherHaveCake · 02/10/2015 21:14

I'm going on the 10th country

oneyorkshirepud · 02/10/2015 22:18

Do we think I can sleep on my back if I have lots of pillows and am therefore semi reclined...?

oneyorkshirepud · 02/10/2015 22:26

Ooh just checked on NHS website yes to sleeping semi reclined! Woop woop!

WouldRatherHaveCake · 02/10/2015 22:45

Haha hope you get comfy

Not sure where is best to ask on here or on FB so will post on both - epi no users! Where did you start at?

honeysucklejasmine · 02/10/2015 22:56

Eugh. Have just laid down and now have reflux. Mucho sympathy for colic filled babies.

pretzelpieces · 03/10/2015 00:05

Have you got a big wedge pillow honey? Mine props me up gradually from the hip and really helps with the evil reflux.

gaggiagirl · 03/10/2015 01:39

sky over on the October facebook group I reckon your feeling was right. I think our bat is in labour, she's been very quiet since she reported strong BHs. Eek!

batfish · 03/10/2015 06:26

Hehe no I'm not, I just went to sleep Smile Sorry I should know better than to complain about strong BH then go to bed for 10 hours!! Feel great today, best night's sleep in ages!

My cousin did a baby eventually, yay! She said it was a bit traumatic in the end and he was born by EMCS but he's a beauty, very happy for her.

batfish · 03/10/2015 06:29

honey if your reflux is bad then speak to your doc, mine prescribed zantac a few weeks ago as every night I was sleep vomming and it was absolutely horrid. I still get it now if I eat certain things in the evening (seems to be carbon related) but it's not acidic anymore so doesn't hurt as much - so I try to avoid eating a lot of carbs too late and it seems to work. Although I was a greedy pig last night and ate curry with rice and nan and I slept propped up a bit just in case and was ok so I don't know if baby has moved away from my stomach a bit which means I'm cured or if I was just lucky! You have my sympathies, it's really horrible.

oneyorkshirepud · 03/10/2015 06:49

I also managed to sleep last night, hope Jelly/Pretzel/Honey did too. Much less grump this morning as a result Smile

The whole monitoring baby's movements thing freaks me out. (Baby is kicking this morning, it is an ongoing stress though!) I often don't feel baby much during the day (v busy job, lots of dashing about) but I think mw said if I sit down and concentrate I should always be able to feel baby move. I'm not sure if I have misinterpreted this though because surely baby is sometimes asleep?! Some days ickle pud is mega active but normally is quite chilled in there. He/she has also taken to doing somersaults recently instead of kicking - this counts as movement right?

Sorry to waffle I just don't feel that I really gave a reference point as to how much baby should be moving... 29 weeks today.

batfish · 03/10/2015 07:00

pud I don't know whether it is right or wrong but I've never really counted movements as such - I just got used to the times of the day that the baby is active - for me it is usually mostly at night when I am relaxing. I'm lucky that I've only had a couple of days where I've worried about lack of movement (could have just been that I hadnt paid attention rather than actual reduced movement) but if I have then I've laid on the sofa and tried having a cold drink or a can of coke. Any movements counts, not just kicking - so yep any somersaults, wriggles or any of that. Here they tell us that we should have 10 movements in 12 hours but my sister who is a midwife in the UK said that anything out of the ordinary should be checked out. It does sound weird that your midwife said you should always be able to feel them if you sit down and concentrate - I definitely feel nothing at all sometimes. But usually they do seem to wake up when you sit and relax, something to do with them being rocked to sleep when you're moving apparently.

Try not to worry too much, as long as you're feeling things it's all good and if you're ever worried because you've been busy and not sure if you've been feeling things or not then just lie down on your left side for an hour after drinking a really cold drink and if still nothing then give the midwife a call in case they think you should be checked - nothing worse than being worried!! I went into hospital last Saturday for reduced movements and the second they strapped on the monitor my baby threw a party - was v embarrassing but I'm glad we went.
