geordiemacminx · 26/11/2006 09:10

And there was me thinking I was the only one up at this time of the morning!! How are you?

Katy44 · 26/11/2006 09:14

Morning!
Tired, didn't get to bed until MIDNIGHT - unheard of these days. But I had to get up as we have a wedding to go to.
How about you?

OP posts:
geordiemacminx · 26/11/2006 10:07

Oooo a wedding sounds nice... a naughty cat woke me up at 7, I find at the moment once I'm awake thats it... unless of course I have work to go to!!

Enjoy your wedding - hope the weather is nice!!

liath · 26/11/2006 10:08

Good morning!

Just quickly popping in before going shopping then out for lunch. My star of a DH got up with dd this morning and I had a lovely lie-in.

Does anyone watch Strictly Come Dancing? Have managed not to get sucked in to the x-factor this time . Dh went to school with Mark Ramprakash so we're wanting him to win.

Have a lovely day everyone.

mammyjo · 26/11/2006 10:38

Morning all! Was up for 2 hours in the night as ds woke to the sound of a very loud crash of thunder. Gave me a fright too. Problem was he just couldnt settle back down. Not upset or anything, just restless so kept me awake too. He eventually went back about 5am, but then didnt wake until just after 9am - hooray!! I dont think he has ever slept that late before! Gave me a lovely Sunday morning lie in too

Bugmum · 26/11/2006 11:10

Hello all,
My goodness, some of you were on here late last night! Brave women

Are we adding colours to our stats thread? Most people have 'sex unknown until...' on theirs, but some people do know now, so it would be nice to update it. Maybe everyone could do so around Christmas, as by then we all should have had our scans I think? Ducks to avoid the rotten tomatoes at the thought of re-doing the stats AGAIN

heidle · 26/11/2006 14:35

good afternoon ladies!
was just settling down to a nice read of old thread, but then heard the dreaded words
" mummy, can you wipe my bottom"

remind me why am I doing this again?
glad you all sound to be having a relaxing day, we have just had a picnic in the car, waiting for the rain to stop, then out into the sunshine for a walk around the park with our 2 gorgeous boys!!

back to work in the morning, but not long till christmas break now. Are we all off work between christmas and new year?

CaptainDippy · 26/11/2006 14:59

I had one of those night's last night too mammyjo - was up with DD2 between 4 and 5am, think she is teething - v.sore bot, bless her!

Thank you for setting up the new thread - feel so I am so sorry to have upset / offended anyone. That poor lady.

Going to do some painting when DH gets back from twon with DD1!! .....

Bugmum · 26/11/2006 15:34

CD - Just a quickie to say don't feel bad: there was nothing in the title that could possibly suggest offence, and the only upset was caused because someone had a personal reaction to something you couldn't possibly have known about. Of course it was right to change it once we knew, but there was no wrongdoing involved IYSWIM

CaptainDippy · 26/11/2006 16:06

Thanks honey!

CornflakeKid · 26/11/2006 17:30

Just back from my looovvvveeellly weekend away - went to the Randolph Hotel in Oxford - excellent service, food and facilitied - can highly recommend - and right in the centre of Oxford.

Arrived in Oxford - went to Ask for lunch - very yummy - went back to hotel and went for treatments - had full body antenatal treatment - feeling very peeled, polished and buffed! It was very relaxing - 2 hours! Had dinner in the restaurant - which was excellent - then went to room watched a bot of tv then fast asleep by 10pm! Woke at 9am and went for a huge yummy breakfast in the restaurant again and then headed off for some retail therapy! Spent buckets of money - but mostly christmas presents for others - but did get myslef some nice pjs and socks from Gap. My parents are arriving any minute en route from my sisters in Manchester to home in Devon - with all my sisters baby stuff for me and dh and boys coming up from Devon (dh parents) arriving about 9pm! So my peaceful weeekend is soon to be shattered!

scan in the morning - very excited....

mammyjo · 26/11/2006 17:45

Good luck for your scan tomorrow CFK, glad you enjoyed your weekend. Have to say I am very !

Best of luck to anyone else with a scan this week, no possible way of me remembering who this may be as have no memory whatsoever just now!

Have been to Ikea today and my mum and dad have bought ds a lovely bed for Christmas. He loves it, but wants it up straight away and we havent even started his new bedroom yet!!

CaptainDippy · 26/11/2006 18:03

Ooooooh Cornflake - that sounds WONDERFUL - very [ency], but soooo pleased you had a super time - Have fun with your full house and hope the scan goes well - how exciting- are you finding out the flavour??

CaptainDippy · 26/11/2006 18:05

There was supposed to be an in there!!

WestCountryLass · 26/11/2006 18:22

Its my birhday today and DH took me out shopping as I really want some casual boots/shoes but the kids played up and no where had what I wanted and I walked out of four shops because I was waiting with two bored kids for 15 minutes for someone to serve me but the assistants were too busy chatting about what they did last night and, seriously, a sloth could have moved quicker.

Then took the kids to a party and by the time I got in I was shattered. THe kids are too and are in bed already which is good news!!!!

liath · 26/11/2006 18:35

Happy Birthday WCL!! Hope you have anice evening - very of the kids being in bed aleady.

CK - sounds like a really lovely weekend. Good luck for your scan - there's four of us having scans tomorrow (according to our stats list anyway). I have no gut feelings which sex this might be but he/she is very very active!

Had a good day here, too - got a load of xmas shopping done then went for Dim Sum with Dh & Dd and we all stuffed our faces. Dd not up to using chop sticks yet but she had great fun waving them around and buttering up the waiters . Have some left overs for tea - yummy! Dh is going to go & see Casino Royal with a mate.

eca · 26/11/2006 19:04

Hi All

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WCL! Sorry you didn;'t quite get some birthday treats on your shopping trip though.

Hope it was a nice wedding Katy and not too much autumn rain!

Well, I'm shattered. Had a lovely weekend with friends staying over. They were so excited about the baby, which was nice. But it's nice to have the house back to ourselves too!

Tili · 26/11/2006 19:20

hello.
Happy birthday WCL
good luck to those with scans in the next few days mine is on thursday sooooooo apprehensive!!.
will check in tomorrow to see how the scans tomorrow go.

Have a good night all xxx

CaptainDippy · 26/11/2006 19:29

Oooooh! Four scans tomorrow - how exciting!! Looking forward to hearing about them....

Happy Birthday WCL!!!! Sorry your shopping trip was a bit , but now they are in bed (yippee!) then relax and enjoy yourself!!

Think the DD's have sufficiently screamed themselves off - hoping for a good night tonight, last two have been awful, DD2 is defintely sickening for something .... Sigh. I'm going to make myself a brew and tuck into the choccy buttons their Great Aunty bought them for Christmas today ...... (Well, the Bump counts as one of her Great Nieces / Nephews as well, doesn't it!!!!? )

pesha · 26/11/2006 19:52

Am feeling too brain dead to really say anything about anything just wanted to say
Happy birthday WCL, hope you have a lovely evening
And good luck everyone with scans tomorrow, hope all goes well and you find out the colours of your beans so we can hopefully get some more blue ones to keep mine and 1b3's company! Go on, you know you want to

Oh I put my blue bean on the stats thread last night and have changed myself to 16th april, decided moving 4 days closer to my due date could only be a good thing!

Sexonlegs · 26/11/2006 20:51

Happy Belated Birthday WCL. Hope you are at least having a lovely evening.
Heidle, I pmsl at your post "mummy can you wipe my bottom!!: How hilarious and how typical. I usually get that call when I have just made a cup of tea and some toast, so when we have finished the task, I have tepid tea and toast like cardboard!
Hope everyone is ok.
CFK, your weekend sounded absolutely fab. We have had a hectic weekend and I am exhausted. We had 6 adults (incl me and dh) and 5 children (inc dd) under the age of 6, all staying with us.
I have never had such a crap nights' sleep ever - not even when dd was a baby. Looking forward to going to bed. One of the kids was sick Friday night and had a temp all weekend, so I am hoping to God he hasn't left a bug for us all as his parting gift! So, do not want any of us to be ill.
Anyway, good luck all with the scans tomorrow. Whoever suggested updating the list with "flavours" - a great idea!
Have a lovely evening and see you all tomorrow.
xx

weeonion · 26/11/2006 21:07

WCL - Happy birthday to you - hope you get another chacne to get those boots etc
CFK - good luck for the morning! this is a big week for our scans

i also felt mortified when i read that we had accidently offended someone - how did u find out about it ggf?

WestCountryLass · 26/11/2006 22:24

Awww, thanks for all the birthday messages Have just realised my birthday is actually tomorrow but may as well have celebrated it today as DH was home, talk about pregnancy brain or what!!!!!

Have spent the evening internet shopping and Xmas is now officially sorted! Just got to get a few bottles in the supermarket and some jeans for DH in Gap and I am done - hurrah

We've also decided to have an M & S Xmas. We normally have guests on Xmas Day but everyone has other plans so we are really only cooking for the two of us and DD (DS survives on raw vegetables, fruit smoothies and cheese) so there is no point cooking from scratch, or that is what we are telling ourselves. We're going to have a very lazy Xmas this year!!!!

pesha · 26/11/2006 23:07

PMSL at you getting the wrong day for your birthday WCL I love it when other people do things like that cos it makes me feel so much better about all the dappy things I'm always doing

Happy Birthday for tomorrow WCL

Greengirlforever · 26/11/2006 23:23

I thought I had posted on here first thing this morning to say thank you to Katy44 for making a new thread - but apparently not!

Have had a busy weekend with 2 birthday parties for DS2 to go to and flat out on the decorating of his room. Also DH and I had a mini-barney over the rugby ! He (being a Protestant from the North) dissed the Irish national anthem one time too many (even though he is a rabid Ireland rugby supporter). I, pg hormones raging, told him I had had enough and and said various other things . Which was too much for him and we had a huge screaming match (one pen was thrown....). I then took DS2 to the party and we kissed and made up afterwards. Helped no doubt by Irelands fab performance (I got all emotional as it was their last at Lansdowne Road...). Bloody hormones.

But anyway! V V happy belated birthday to WCL and I love your approach to Christmas this year and may try a modified version myself !

And lots of luck and good vibes to all tomorrrow's and next week's scanees.
