Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 39th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Great news Indigo.

Ha Dulcet, I think between all three of us we may have cobbled together an explanation! Where are Mountain and Chat when you need them? Grin

RhiannonElward · 16/02/2015 10:48

Hello! Just diving in to say hello and to wish Lil luck for today :)

I am sat here with no symptoms at all, it's bloody weird. Also DS had slapped cheek rash over the weekend so I've got that to worry about now, that should tide me over until I find something else to worry about.

Pisghetti · 16/02/2015 10:50

Good news Indigo Smile

Hope all goes ok today Lil x

Noticed when I was getting dressed that my bump appears to have shrunk. Bit freaked out as I don't feel like the baby's engaged. Awkward sod has jammed her foot in my waist EXACTLY like her brother used to!

Great news indigo! See - no news is good news :)

Thinking of you lil x

Wil - I was just thinking that! C'mon medics!

Rhi I'd never heard of slapped cheek before I got pg. is it a risk for pregnant women?

Purplecircle · 16/02/2015 11:04

Great news Indigo

I've just booked NIFTY for 1st March - and loving that private clinics do weekend appts, it's so much easier for work Smile

Midwife at 1pm, don't know why I'm nervous

RhiannonElward · 16/02/2015 11:07

la it's a risk to the baby, can cause foetal anaemia and heart problems. Most people are immune already and even those that aren't don't often have any problems, but it's a risk. GPs seem to be totally unaware of the dangers to the upduffed woman too, as I was until Friday, when I was on the NHS website trying to diagnose the rash on my son's face. Hopefully it'll be nothing, but I don't have much luck when it comes to uncomplicated pregnancies.

Fleurchamp · 16/02/2015 11:32

GX lil thinking of you Flowers

www.nhs.uk/conditions/Rhesus-disease/Pages/Introduction.aspx

Link above to nhs guidance on rhesus disease. I also have a negative blood group. If baby's father is also negative blood group then there is no need for anti d because the baby will then be a negative blood group. The midwife should give you a leaflet at some point to explain the reasoning and outcomes if you accept/decline anti d. I got one fairly early in pregnancy also having already had one baby I clearly already knew about it! I believe the reasoning for doing it routinely is you can never be certain there hasn't been a "sensitising" event which would mean you unknowningly have the antibodies in your system even in a first pregnancy.

great news indigo

gx everything turns out ok today lil!

I came across a lovely term this morning for c-sections: Vaginal Bypass.

willywallace · 16/02/2015 11:56

Haha Boo, love that.

It's not quite midday and I'm already fading. I have expressed a measly two ounces and semi-tidied the living room and feel like I've done a day's work.

Pisghetti · 16/02/2015 11:58

Sounds like another term for bum sex Shock

If my aged haematology knowledge serves me correctly... Google/ wiki haemolytic disease of the newborn - that'll tell you why you have the anti-D.

Any news from Lil??

RPopz · 16/02/2015 12:38

10 Mondays La! Shock Blimey.

KatoPotato · 16/02/2015 12:56

lildottie · 16/02/2015 12:56

hi all. still waiting for the phone call. went in about 8.30. been a long morning. I'm convinced it's over now though.

KatoPotato · 16/02/2015 12:59

Oh LIL, I am so sorry I've just caught up! What a horrid situation, hang in there, thinking of you! xxx

teejayem · 16/02/2015 13:05

Thinking of you today lil xx

Just told my manager about my unfortunate back spasm/being carried out of Tesco episode at the weekend and now she's panicking I'm going to get signed off FOREVER on Wednesday. . TBH I just want the GP to give me a sodding physio referral, some decent pain relief and recommend I work half the week at home. Not asking much.... I just don't know how I can manage another 14 weeks of not being able to walk or turn over in bed, let alone another 10 weeks of a 2 hour commute.

I don't know whether to start thinking about the conversation I'm going to have with the consultant. I'm not seeing her for a couple of weeks, but I don't know if I should just cut to the chase and request a section. I seem to be in a total catch 22, with being told I will have to be induced for 38-39 weeks, but can't labour on my back, and can't have my legs apart. So that'll be no epidural, and writhing agony then. Opiates make me poorly so I'm not sure that's going to be an option. I don't know if my back problems even make me suitable section candidate.

Feeling a bit sorry for myself! Might go and shuffle out for a krispy kreme.

RPopz · 16/02/2015 13:11

Bloody hell tee how did I miss that!! What's happened with your back? Are you definitely wanting an epidural? Would laying on your side be an option? You could have the epi then.

Fleurchamp · 16/02/2015 13:28

Oh lil sorry you have been kept waiting. I have positive thoughts, GX xx

I have 12 Mondays left, including 3 bank hols, 2 days leave and then I will go on mat. Leave 4 weeks before my due date!

Seems manageable - I hate Mondays

LaLaLaaaa · 16/02/2015 13:46

Oh god lil you poor thing. Is it the results of bloods you're waiting for? Would they get you back for more to do a comparison?

I'm so so sorry this is happening to you, you don't bloody deserve this. I hope you hear soon, staying positive for you xxx

teejayem · 16/02/2015 13:47

Oh lordy popz - it's been niggly for the last 2 weeks, so I went to the osteopath last week who reckoned my Sacroiliac joint has moved, which in turn has aggravated my spondy, it was bearable until Friday night when I started having pain walking, by Saturday morning Mr Tee was putting my socks and knickers on for me because it was excruciatingly painful to lift up my right leg, and then in my infinite wisdom, thought a trip grocery shopping might loosen it up a bit, Hmm when it actually did the reverse and I ended up stuck, weeping in the frozen foods aisle after picking up a packet of prawns not even able to lift leg into walking motion. Mr Tee had to leave trolley at customer service and carry me to the car :( Won't be going back there for a while although I suppose to an innocent bystander it might have looked like a romantic valentines gesture on his part.

We got home and had a bath and it loosened up again, yesterday wasn't so bad but it's still making me go 'nrrrrrgh' when I get up, roll over in bed or change walking direction. I think they thing that's worrying me is if it does the Tesco thing again while I'm at work or on the Tube or train then I'm going to be in a right old pickle.
