Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 22nd grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 39th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

I do remember being taken to doctor because all I'd eat was bread and butter when I was 5

I'll definitely never eat meat again but I'll see how we get on

Fleurchamp · 17/02/2015 06:43

I'm veggie too la

DH and I have been having this discussion. I just can't get my head around giving my child something to eat that I wouldn't eat myself, if that makes sense?

DH doesn't eat much meat at all, in fact I can't remember the last time - the rule is if he wants he he buys and cooks it- which means it doesn't happen very often!

I think I will wait and see how I feel nearer the time.

laurenamium · 17/02/2015 07:08

Get that bag packed pis!

I'm not a veggie but I've looked after veggie children, they're the most robust and solid kids ever. I'm not sure what they get fed at home but there's a lot of free range eggs and cheese involved I think! Both kids are allowed sweets, even jelly ones. As I think their mum didn't want them to feel excluded

DulcetMoans · 17/02/2015 07:40

Bit late as was out yesterday but everything crossed for you lil. Whatever happens I hope the clinic support you - this week wait seems unnecessary. Most of us that had bloods were done two days later so not sure why a week in your case.

To offer the other side la, my veggie friend decided to give her DD meat when she started to wean to get her used to different tastes and textures and then let her make her own mind up as she gets older either through just eating other things or saying she would rather not. Her DH eats meat so he does that bit.

Argh pis! Does that mean you're almost there?!

Didn't know there was another bounty pack! Must go to boots.

Had two pregnancy comments yesterday that I may be feeling over sensitive about. First about my bump being small - I can't tell if it's small as I feel big! Then, we went out to eat somewhere I haven't been before, I ordered and friend said 'you're eating shell fish?' In a slightly judgey way. Then I panic cos I couldn't remember if I could eat prawns! Picked them out in the end...

Purplecircle · 17/02/2015 08:08

Morning viroids. I'm a bit freaked out. I've had a bit of bloodstained discharge this morning when I wiped. I haven't had any pain.

I'm at the hospital this morning for diabetes so I'm thinking I might go along to the EPU and get checked.

I'm trying not to panic. Haven't told DH

laurenamium · 17/02/2015 08:16

Don't panic purple! No pain is good, but do go to the EPU as you are there anyway to put your mind at ease! Did you dtd last night? I had some bleeding early on which turned out to be cervical erosion caused by dtd Blush

Purplecircle · 17/02/2015 08:21

No we haven't for a couple of weeks

Purplecircle · 17/02/2015 08:23

It was old blood, that's a good sign isn't it?

ZylaB · 17/02/2015 08:49

Old blood is fine, as is no pain. Go whilst you're there to put your mind at ease but it doesn't sound worrying.

More positive thoughts for you and beans lil

Indigoblue2 · 17/02/2015 08:53

purple I had brown blood discharge at 8 weeks and it only lasted a day and coincided with when I should have had a period so I counted it as a breakthrough bleed. MW said not to worry if not red fresh blood but by all means go get checked out.

teejayem · 17/02/2015 09:19

Echoing the don't panic too sentiments too purple! I had a bleed at 15 weeks and it was my placenta sitting a bit low. and some over vigorous JSing Brown is good! As are no cramps.

Purplecircle · 17/02/2015 09:21

It's not happened again so it seems to have stopped. I'm just paranoid after MC last time. I'd started to relax about this pregnancy after the scan last week.

Think I will still get it checked

willywallace · 17/02/2015 10:32

Definitely get it checked even though it sounds like nothing.

Still around Pis? No funny pains yet?Wink

We're all dressed by 10.30 and I'm by myself. It's a miracle!

cookielove · 17/02/2015 10:37

Why yes I am wil Grin

purple you are right to get it checked but I am sure it will fine :)

TheBooMonster · 17/02/2015 10:59

Good luck at epu purple but old blood should be an ok thing!

My bump has shrunk! What's that all about? Also been exhausted this morning DD woke up at 5:30 and DH ended up getting up with her, I migrated down to the sofa when he left the house at 8 but slept through till 10:30, DD has been shockingly good about it, not sure if I'm coming down with something :/

teejayem · 17/02/2015 11:10

After a minor meltdown this morning, Work have provisionally agreed I can WFH once a week. Hmm - wow, thanks!

Do we think a GP has the ooomph to recommend working patterns? Mine is a proper old school GP who you have to be quite firm with, which I'm totally okay about, but I want to make sure what I'm asking tomorrow is reasonable:

  1. Physio referral
  2. Pain Relief (Or at least some suggestions beyond bath, pillow between legs, hot pack etc) - SiL was given co-Codamol with her PGP, I used to have it on prescription with some other fun painkillers before TTC.
  3. Working pattern Recommendation

That's pretty fair isn't it??

TheBooMonster · 17/02/2015 11:24

tee I think it depends on the GP, it's the sort of thing DH's would do, but he's a bit of a legend and he also quite openly lies on doctors notes, like how he said he'd been seeing DH regularly for a medical condition having only ever set eyes on him once! My GP is an arse, a busy body nurse convinced him I was addicted to my pain meds and he bloody stopped them without even speaking to me! I wouldn't mind but I was down to one a day in place of a 13 tablet cocktail and they put me on the cocktail that no longer worked >.>

Stoatystoat · 17/02/2015 12:40

Hello la and everyone else of course. I've been lurking when I've felt brave enough but mainly hanging out on the original JS fred.

I am still in limbo. So recap for those who don't know. I had a bit of bleeding and a first scan. A week later a second scan. At that second scan, they clumsily mentioned it was kind of on the small side and I should prepare myself for the worst but to come back in a week I'm due for a scan tomorrow. I have been having symptoms: stretchy feelings in tummy, tender boobs, discharge, nausea. I am so pissed off with having to wait and though I understand it is a waiting game, I just wished they had been nicer at the EPU about it. So I basically feel like I'm going mad.

teejayem · 17/02/2015 12:41

TBH boo, I've had such a nightmare even getting an appt with him, if I don't get what I want then I'm inclined to register somewhere else. You can't 'book' appointments, it's walk in only, so you have to turn up at 8.30am and wait or be allocated a slot later in the day, which is immensely impractical esp with work being a bit funny about this kind of thing. He is also not the closest GP to our house anymore after we moved, and had the nerve to get a bit funny with me when I told him I'd self referred myself to a hospital out of his catchment.
Shouldn't be this difficult....

Purplecircle · 17/02/2015 12:42

I've to go back tomorrow for a scan at the EPU, no more blood since but still slightly shitting it

TheBooMonster · 17/02/2015 13:41

oh tee that sounds like fun, but at least you can in theory get an appointment quite quickly when you need one, even if it is the worlds biggest faff, our GP's all have a 4 week waiting list, and even getting onto that is a battle, the number of times I've been booked in with a nurse after asking to see a GP and then had the nurse have a go at me for using up nurse slots for things she can't deal with is quite scary!

well at least they're going to scan you purple hopefully that'll give you some answers! gx!

willywallace · 17/02/2015 14:19

Your GPs sound like nightmares. I have the best practice ever, they're all so helpful.

I think that's really good of them to scan you Purple, sounds like they're on the ball and actually give a shit at your EPU.

Hope you get some answers tomorrow Stoat.

teejayem · 17/02/2015 14:22

I honestly think the GP policy changes from week to week boo - usually we have a 4 week wait too, God knows why it's walk ins this week; I'm sure it's just to put people off coming in!!

Good news they're seeing you so quickly for a scan purple Fx for you x

Purplecircle · 17/02/2015 15:55

They've been brilliant with my diabetes, it's quite a small hospital but they do seem to care. Even the phlebotanists vampires are nice when they take your blood
I'll be having the baby there unless it's very prem

Indigoblue2 · 17/02/2015 16:30

My EPU is wonderful as well, so is my midwife. They go out of their way to help. My friend gave birth in January and there was a change of shift during her very long labour. The initial midwife phoned in the next day on her day off, to see how she'd gotten on Smile
