Hi CR - are you going to put a link on the other page? Just found this by accident!

Calmriver · 12/10/2006 19:21

Don't know how too.

Oh well done Calm - and well done AQ for linking it (I don't know how either).

The Final Countdown......

Thank goodness for that

accessorizequeen · 12/10/2006 20:13

I added a link to this one.
So re: blood sugar does that mean milo's off the shopping list then?
I have low bp normally since last pg, normal is about 110 over 70 for me? Just grateful I didn't faint and end up in hospital like castles. Not sure if I can give up sugar tho. I have more g&b 70% in the cupboard, but strangely I just want to finish off the packet of choc pumpkins I bought ds for special halloween treat (but he hasn't had any yet)
Lucy, nice to see you back, you must be struggling in that heat!

accessorizequeen · 12/10/2006 20:14

Yes, that's if we don't add another 400 messages in a fortnight...

weirdbird · 12/10/2006 21:42

Huzzah I can finally post again!!!

First of all it wouldn't let me log on and I thought I was going to have to re-register and then I kept getting script errors all day today!

Taking me forever to catch up!

Know why I felt so weird Mon/Tue, I woke up with a VERY sore throat Wed and have only just started feeling well again, have slept most of the last 2 days away.

Except this afternoon when I went to see my DD, who is 4.5 in her first ever thing at school, she was in the Harverst Festival, they where all so sweet and I cried

I am now officially fed up of being pregnant, I am already thinking I want a 3rd AM I INSANE!!!!

and a query, is anyone else a tad horny??

spinamum · 12/10/2006 21:44

Hello Gang!

Hope we've all crossed over successfully to new thread!

Got all my old baby stuff sorted yesterday with the plan to top up with new stuff today in Mothercare.
Thankfully we all slept in this morning as when I got out of shower to get DS up for nursery, I noticed the water coming through the ceiling in the spare room on top of my freshly washed and sorted baby stuff. my water tank decided to lose its' bottom this morning! I'm so glad we weren't at work (weeks hol to sort extension to house/family) and that we hadn't woken up at our usual time as DH and I were planning to go straight out to shop!

Sorry if it's all sounding a bit melodramatic chez moi. I get to replace the ceiling in DS1's new bedroom on the upside! I wanted to cos it's got artex but it wasn't in the original budget when the building work starts.

We still went shopping and I'm the owner of a new cot mattress, some blankets and sheets and , hold back on the vibes girls, about six packets of mat pads(the surfboard sort) I did also buy the cuteset spotty blanket for DS22B's pram. I'm really into attempting to aviod the baby blue thing for Beanie. Spots and strips are my thing at the moment. I've still got heaps of blue in my collection(which I rescued from dripping rusty water-sod the practical stuff, just make sure the cute clothes don't get damaged)

I feel a mixture of "can't wait"/"it's not long now"/"OMG!"/"Bring it on!".

I'm giving people who ask how long the rather confusing answer....."eight if i get my way,ten and a bit officially, but prob 12 weeks!" Help them a simple "Xmas day or 10 weeks" is what they're after!

accessorizequeen · 12/10/2006 21:57

Well, you seem remarkably happy about your ceiling dripping spina I think the nesting instinct def.kicking in around here, I'm so cooey over cosy fleecy things but darn it, dp doesn't want a cow babysnuggle. Why did I ask? There's one on ebay will go for half the new price grrr. The cow comfort blankies are v.cute too vanilla (I shall get used to it!). Nice haul at mcare spina..and harvest festival sounds lovely wb. I'm positively longing to get things out of garage but know I can't until I have somewhere to put them. Ikea next weekend I hope!

I am positively dreading going over & missing christmas, this is going to be the best year for ds & I want to be there to see his face pg or not! But also want to be there for his birthday (it's 2 days before my due date) as he'll be equally excited.

VanillaMilkshake · 12/10/2006 21:58

Oh Spina - a leaked on ceiling - I have one of those, fingers crossed mine has been sorted by some new roof tiles. Just for DH to seal and pint now. How is yours, is the tank sorted?

Found a cow print taggy(like) comforter on the website I put, silky on the other side, just as I wanted. Showed DH who said - lets see if we can find anything else first......does he not know how long and hard I have been searching ! Will order it tomorrow when he is at work. As it's coming from DD, wil let her press the confirm order button

Yes WB definatley in the mood , but am worried about starting a chain reaction so have imposed certain restriction on bits of me that are renowned in all the books for starting labour, but while still keeping DH happy .

Have to tell you all I had a bag of light crispy pork scratchings yesterday...delish - cant have the hard ones as am scared for teeth. (sorry any veggies)

Calmriver · 12/10/2006 22:03

Weirdbird-

As much as I keep telling DH 'NO MORE', I still end up giving in..It makes me feel really easy! I will NOT be thought of like that!!!

I was really 'excitable' a couple of nights ago, and still have a stiff butt and for some reason my shoulders too!

I must say I'm not thinking of it AS MUCH as I was at one point, but I can get persuaded rather quickly

Glad you are starting to feel better now.

All, I had a scan today and baby is good, she kept drinking and yawned! Her mouth is even wide open in my picture..never seen that before. She took a deep breath at one point in the scan and I saw her whole chest/lung area inflate! It was amazing! I want to give her a huge hug and kiss.

There is only 3.5 cm at point of deepest liquer. There really isn't much room for her to move/turn now.

She is looking so big on the scan now...so excited!

Adding to the whole shopping thing, I bought a lovely Polar bears in bobble hats babygro from Woolies today, a long with a cute little vest with a puppy on, and the most adorable pair of santa socks..... If bump goes oversue by the maximum 14 days I should still have a baby by Chrsitmas Eve...just [fingers crossed emoticon] and he'she will need something festive

weirdbird · 12/10/2006 22:18

My bump now has a reindeer hat with ickle antlers for Xmas this year, it was only 50p at the NNS and was left at the end, and its newborn size, it seemed to be meant!

spinamum · 12/10/2006 22:22

I've got two xmas tops for DS22B so I think i'm pushing my luck a bit!
I had the reusable nappy chat (again!) with DH. We've come to a compromise that we'll wait for a few weeks/months before we go for it.Due to building work/leaky legs putting us(ie DH) off reusables for life/etc/etc. If he thinks that's going to fob me off...... We will be using reusables by March!(just as the weight loss kicks off!)

spinamum · 12/10/2006 22:25

sorry forogt to say...

CR, great about the scan. I'm so I wonder what my Bean looks like now. I remember thinking at 20 wk scan" that's the last time we see him til he turns up.

VanillaMilkshake · 12/10/2006 22:27

Our medical centre has a baby ceminar thing in November when you can go and ask about anything from nappies to carseats. The council always has a stand, manned by the 'nappy officer' (that's their real title) and I will be asking for demo's. Our council gives £30 cahsback to all parents who buy resusable nappies.

spinamum · 12/10/2006 22:31

AQ, i got a really cool stripey blanket in Ikea a while back. Not too babyish!IYKWIM. You know the sort of stuff you get in interior magazines where all the kids are adorable and the mum/dad are scandanavian and something "arty". White walls. Wodden toys. stripped floor boards.

I'm droolling now!

EliBoo · 12/10/2006 22:50

Uh oh, looks like another 400 posts in the next fortnight

Spina, drippy ceiling? Ack! You sound very cool about it, good for you. I'd be livid if I had to re-wash all my newly sorted baby clothes (blue spotty blanket sounds adorable, btw, am sick of pink!)

Lucy, I re-sent that email...hope you get it!

I just ate the rest of dd's milk chocolate buttons that had been forgotten at the back of the fridge....

lucy5 · 13/10/2006 00:05

Hello all, can't sleep again! Will try and go to bed for the third time in a minute.

Email hasn't arrived yetbut like you say i'm sure they will turn up like the buses do.

jabberwocky · 13/10/2006 00:30

spina - quite a zen attitude about the ceiling

cr - congrats on the scan! LO yawned at our 4D and it was really cute, although he leaned his head back at the same time and went out of focus in a weird/slightly spooky way.

I didn't have the nesting thing at all with ds but I think I do have it this time. I've been boxing up loads of things in the home office to convince dh we can actually get all of this done in time.

Oh, and got a good deal on some lilypadz on ebay just now I'm turning into a shopaholic.

VanillaMilkshake · 13/10/2006 09:14

Morning All,

I am very proud - most healthy breakfast in weeks - an Alpen bar! Actually, after giving DD her toast we have run out of bread and there's no cereal till tesco's delivers so it was more a let's see what i can find. Looking forward to eggs being delivered as I am addicted to buttery scrambled eggs!

Jabber I need to go on e-bay for a changing bag - burnt my last one when I left it on the hob and accidentally knocked it on. Also want to get a cradle chair for bump to sleep in downstairs - saves luggung moses basket around!

EliBoo · 13/10/2006 09:20

Porridge and toast here, valiantly putting the pounds back on

CR, its great about the scan...reassuring and adorable, both! Bump feels so real now that I can tell which is a foot and which is a head, wish I could have a sneak preview...

Woke up in middle of night dreaming that I couldn't breathe, and couldn't breathe (well, a bit obviously, but not easily). Better this morning, but am going to go and annoy gp this afternoon again anyway...probably just baby lying on something vital, but it does freak me out.
