Checking in! Thanks for the new thread red hows everyone doing? Due date for me tomorrow! No sign of baby appearing any time soon though :( Have booked myself in for a pedicure and meeting a friend for lunch tomorrow to take my mind off of it! Desperate to have this baby now :(
Congrats to lucid sorry to hear it was traumatic for you, hope you recover soon :)
Not many of us left now!

lilone1234 · 10/09/2014 19:51

Thanks for the new thread and stats update Red. How are you getting on now with your little one?

ShowMeShowMeTheWine · 10/09/2014 20:02

Hi all, thanks for the new thread Thanks

Ok WAY TMI WARNING...

Had my sweep first thing yesterday and when I had a shower this evening I had a little furtle around Blush and there's a fair bit of jelly like discharge.
Can't decide if it's start of mucus plug or left over gel from the sweep?
Any one want to guess?

Thanks for the new thread red, marking my place

DizzyKipper · 10/09/2014 20:21

Thankyou for the new thread Red.

I have a feeling that tonight might be the night, don't know why and in all likelihood I'm getting my hopes up only to be knocked down and ensure I stew in misery tomorrow. Really must think of something fun for me and DD to do that gets us out of the house. For tonight though must really get tis house sorted, just in case.

I'll take a guess at mucus plug ShowMe - I'm not sure they use that much gel during sweeps and it's good to be optimistic I think.

Serotonin · 10/09/2014 20:22

Marking my place :)

Have had some strong contractions tonight but not regular and seem to have tailed off. Have decided to have a bath because I don't want to have her tomorrow Blush

Marking my place

RedToothBrush · 10/09/2014 20:36

Lilone, we are up and down. Today was DH's first day back at work, so I've been on my own today.

I think its best summed up as we survived! Didn't manage it far from bed today, as he screamed every time I did or just wanted hugs. I need to start using a sling, but at the moment I'm not really up to it still as I'm still feeling pretty bruised round the middle.

KitKat1985 · 10/09/2014 20:36

Thanks for the new thread Red. Just place marking. Smile

polkadotdelight · 10/09/2014 20:42

Wow we are flying through these threads! Still a week to go until my due date and its getting more and more uncomfortable to walk. Getting a little stir crazy in the house but even walking around tescos is sore. Have a stitch like feeling in one side of my belly tonight. Come on baby, it's time!

Salene · 10/09/2014 20:47

Hi can I join, my boy is due on 24th, 1st baby

Hoping he comes soon though as husband goes back offshore to work on 30th , no baby by then tough luck, I will then be giving birth alone :-(

Last 3 days I've been getting constant period pains low down along pant line for a hour or two at a time then they go away again, I'm also sore like that to walk

Do you think it might be a sign things might happen soon or is that wishful thinking

2 weeks ago at MW visit baby was head down 3/5

Cindy5389 · 10/09/2014 21:33

Marking my place on new thread.

Dizzy - I was given the red book at my last mw appt, incase HV couldn't make a pre birth visit as they r very busy. Not sure if chasing will do any good as the HV is aware of me so I'm sure she would visit if she had time.

Snafu33 · 10/09/2014 21:33

Congrats to the new arrivals!
Thanks for new thread

Topsyloulou · 10/09/2014 21:54

Thanks for the new thread Red.

Congratulations lucid. Hope you and the little man are doing ok.

Ella good luck for the induction tomorrow.

No signs of any progress here although bump does feel slightly lower today so hopefully he's starting to get the message.

lilone1234 · 10/09/2014 22:11

showme I reckon that's plug too. I'd had quite a bit the day before my sweep and has continued since.

red Well done for managing by yourself! It doesn't matter if you don't get far from the bed - surviving is good in my book! Nothing wrong with enjoying cuddles while you can too - I think it's easily forgotten how important they are for little babies!

velvetlilithi · 10/09/2014 23:10

Marking my place!
Still no signs of labour for me, although I have a little time (37+4).

Congratulations to all new babies! And good luck all of you who are having inductions tomorrow. You'll have your babies very soon.

About HV, I was told to be visited by someone after day 10 at home after birth as until then mw will take care and be coming. Red book should be given to me by HV when he takes over. We'll see how it works as wasn't told any more info about visits.

zanashar · 10/09/2014 23:25

Just checking in.
Thanx for the new thread Red! Your attention to detail is meticulous! ????
Currently 39+4 ( due on 13th) with no. 1
Big congrats to all the sept babies so far but can't help noticing how few girls there are!!
Waiting on hearing off a friend who was due Wed 27th Aug and went in for induction this morning ( also her no.1, and also a boy)
Good luck to all upcoming inductions and sweeps etc.
Having another night when I'm full of beans after two zombified days.

So far had zero info about HV etc.but then guess that's Bham for you!

dontevenblink · 11/09/2014 01:21

Marking my place too Smile

Thanks for sorting stats out red, can't believe how few girls there are so far! I have called Sophie a he or boy quite a few times though after having two boys before Blush It was a real surprise to have another girl Smile

Acorncat · 11/09/2014 05:52

I know it'll vary widely, but I've had MW visits on day after born (day 2), day 3, day 5 and day 10 - then it'll be the HV, haven't got red book yet. It's a pain that they just turn up anytime, especially when trying to organize visitors.

cookielove · 11/09/2014 06:12

Hello, :)

ella, I have used a mixture of a cream called hypergel/hypergal which I have applied to pads, tea tree oil in the bath (stung like a bitch) I have epson salts which I have yet to open as well. And just plain water sitz baths.

showme sounds like your mucus plug!

Talk about shattered! Ds is finally taking the boob, now I have the correct sized nipple shields yay. But still needs bottle top ups!

TeamEponine · 11/09/2014 07:30

Congrats Lucid, and thanks Red, both for the new thread and keeping all the stats up to date! I think surviving is a massive success.

First proper day on maternity leave today. Having spent so many years focusing on career and work, it feels quite strange to suddenly not have to think about it. Just a few more days now, and then I'm sure baby will keep me plenty busy!

DizzyKipper · 11/09/2014 07:34

Still here, still pregnant Sad

holls2000 · 11/09/2014 08:03

good luck today Ella Smile

CoolCat2014 · 11/09/2014 08:53

Still no sign of baby... Grrrr!

My parents are down to visit - they booked time off to come and see baby, now they don't think they'll be able to come for another month or so (it's a v long drive, and my dad has to book time way in advance). Feel really sad about it, don't think I'll get any of my family come visit now :( my brother keeps on asking when I'll go visit him (4 hour drive away!) :(
