Hello - I found it ! Lets hope thisthread showssome new birth announcements tomorrow!

Coriander73 · 07/09/2006 22:21

Liquid...tried to reply to your messasge & add link but it said the thread was too big!!! Hope you don't mind the title..so hard to feel inspired right now!! However, reckon it should see us through to the post-natal stage??!

How are you doing? Happy Anniversary BTW!

3rd night in a row that I'm having mild - strong BH (esp at 4am). Plenty backache so just feel that things are moving but not quickly enough as just so heavy, fat & cumbersome...

Wish it were mine!! Poor MIL she's 3 hours away up in STAFFS & we're in Suffolk & she's packed her bag & camera, left it by the back door & panics everytime we ring!!! She's comning down to look after DD....luckily this wasn't a problem last time but amazing how much time I've spent worrying about DD....what / who / when / how etc....just don't want it to be too disruptive for her although one way or another it will be....

OP posts:
Coriander73 · 07/09/2006 22:25

They will find us...don't worry!...esp if we keep the page at the top!!!!

So 1B1B..what's the latest?! I'm sure Pol has / is in labour right now?!!

OP posts:
liquidclocks · 07/09/2006 22:26

Hi Cori - X posts! Thanks, we had a lovely chilled out anniversary.

Fingers crossed for tonight then? Now I've stopped pulling up poisonous plants from the garden my random contractions have stopped !

Shame about your magically disappearing and reappearing bump 1b1b! (weird!)

Coriander73 · 07/09/2006 22:26

Dare I ask..did you??!!!!

OP posts:
Gizmo · 07/09/2006 22:27

Oh groan, poor old you, Cori - hope you get a better night tonight. Last thing you need is broken sleep at this stage.

Anyway, let's hope this thread sees us all the way to the arrival of DS2. That's quite an exciting thought, actually: I should go to bed now and gloat over it.

Coriander73 · 07/09/2006 22:32

I just want to meet the baby now...especially as we don't know the sex! It's amzing how people are so so so sure they know for sure what the sex is...!!! Plus, even though we're about to ruin her life (!!) I'm sure DD would like to actually see & cuddle the real thing other than pull up my top & show the baby her teddy / banana / petit flous or whatever she has to hand!!!!

OP posts:
ezridax · 07/09/2006 22:50

I think i broke our last thread lol! I posted and then it was like i'm sorry thread to big

liquidclocks · 07/09/2006 23:13

Don't worry ezridax - It said the same to me after my last post, we can share the blame!

And cori if you meant did me and DH... no I was tired, he was tired... we're not at it like bunnies you know! (more's the pity...!)

Marls001 · 08/09/2006 01:09

Doing my part to keep page at the top!!

Liquid, how scary about your garden!! wow.

Gizmo, LOL ... you have a Jameson Alexander too??

Two notes for those who haven't popped: (1) Don't forget soap at hospital (I did) ... also shower cap, shampoo, favorite pillow from home (didn't forget those; they came in handy)
(2) Do you have any kind of girdle-like garment to wear around in the days following delivery? Preferably one covering entire midsection? I've a pair of pregnancy running shorts & some pg workout short tights and really they've been making me feel so much more stable; able to get around better when everything's "held in."

I'd forgotten about "don't lift anything heavier than baby for six weeks!" Not a problem except still can't lift DS.
Increased mobility has been wonderful, though. No more ambidextrous shaving in shower!

Little bump for the morning people so they can find us!

Marls - that's for the reminders - girdle type thing sounds good - I remeber feeling so jelly-like last time so will try that.

Have a good day everybody - plenty of birth announcements imminent hopefully!

mabel1973 · 08/09/2006 09:13

found you!
I am STILL pg! now officially overdue.
had pineapple, curry and double dose of raspberry leaf tea yesterday - nothing is working - I think we may have to resort to sex....! I dreamt last night that he was coming on saturday - so who knows!
Marls - reading about your increased mobility - I can't wait to lie on my stomach again!
Also I bought some of those 'spanx' after DS that Gwneth Paltrow swore by, they hold all the jelly belly in and give you a miraculously flat tummy!

Gizmo · 08/09/2006 09:32

Wow, have just realised that I am facing a fantastic opportunity here, as I have a very beautiful corset lurking on the top shelf of my wardrobe, which can presumably be worn postnatally while everything is still jelly like. Will it entirely remold me? Will I enter the Christmas party zone with a fantastic hourglass figure? Up to now, the best thing you could say about my figure has been 'boyish', so I'm rather intrigued by the idea of developing curves.

Marls, not quite Jameson Alexander, but DS has part of your boy's name! Planning to pack hospital bag this morning (in case homebirth plan does not work out) so your reminder is timely.

liquidclocks · 08/09/2006 09:42

Gizmo - it's whether those new 'curves' are in the right place

compo · 08/09/2006 10:02

Morning everyone - love the new thread title
Cori - I have the same worries with my parents looking after ds when I go into labour. They are also 3 hours away. Mum said I can ring any time in the night etc but I would feel a bit worried about them driving all that way half asleep. Luckily I have a couple of friends on standby a bit closer but it is tricky isn't it?
No exciting news here I'm afraid, definitely no action for dh at the moment Due date is Tuesaday and wedding anniversary is Thursday so might initiate something then if I haven't popped by then
Fingers crossed Pol and Calvenjoe are holding lo's in their arms right now.

Gizmo · 08/09/2006 10:05

Well, I can't get much curvier than I am now, LC!

Actually, it's not such a great idea: too pretty a thing to be vomitted over and only a full suit of armour would be worse for breastfeeding. May have to resign myself to 'droops' rather than curves. Still, DH loves me for my mind, right?

Coriander73 · 08/09/2006 10:07

LOL Liquid.... As for you Mabel, who exactly is coming?..(sorry..!!) I think I'm beginning to obsess about it given that it's been since Jan!!!!!! I have just popped into health food shop who are out of stock of raspberry leaf tea (hello??)& only had 60 raspberry leaf pills which would last a month which I don't need! Am off to buy some pineapple..I know I'm not due officially until next Friday (although scan did say the 9th!) but I want the lo OUT!!! I want to meet him / her...

Marls & Claire, lovely piccies of your DS's....

OP posts:
Coriander73 · 08/09/2006 10:11

Yep Compo, it's very tricky! I have a couple of friends on standby but both are due to be travelling (for work) at the same time which doesn't help & we don't have anyone else really. Next door neighbour said she'd pop in which is really sweet but she's also here there & everywhere at all hours so goodness knows what we'll do!! Ideally I'll start when we've just dropped DD off at nursery then that gives MIL time to have slept & get down here ASAP!!!! Am so excited & nervous all at the same time......

OP posts:
Gizmo · 08/09/2006 10:13

Cori, is that no nookie since January?

Gosh.

Bet you're looking forward to the delivery.

Coriander73 · 08/09/2006 10:19

HA HA HA Gizmo....yep!!!!! Poor DH your thinking right?!!!!!!! Same thing happened when pg with DD, just went off it totally - the very thought had me retching! The last couple of days I've been thinking how nice it'll be to have an orgams again... Funny thing is that after DD, sex was much much better, the best I'd say in our 10 yrs togther...!

OP posts:
Coriander73 · 08/09/2006 10:19

That should read orgasm..

OP posts:
compo · 08/09/2006 10:21

me too on the excited and nervous at the same time
We've only managed 'it' once since BFP!!!
