LC - I'm so sorry and at the same time LOL re: nappy ... the bright side is it'll make an excellent rehearsal dinner story. Hope he doesn?t have chicken pox right now, though.
Compo ? Sorry to hear about headache.
Congrats 1B1B !!!
Congrats Vindy & Topbanana! Welcome to the ?popped? club! Topbanana ? great you?ve no tears or stitches!! Again !
Mandaz ? just read your announcement ? all these quick labors! Congratulations. I really love the name; it?s gorgeous.
When had stitches post-birth, received 4 shots of a local anesthetic ?down there? ? do they always do gas & air instead for that in the UK?
Tassis ? Had about 5 days of v. heavy bleeding - became less heavy yesterday. Not bleeding every time I use the restroom anymore, but still having to wear a thick pad. Still bright red. Supposedly blood will be more pinkish, then brown, before it stops. Stitches still sore, but not as bad as with DS1. Sleep is good for many things.
Claire ? What a great schedule! So glad all?s going so well.
Hi Norms ? Was scared to death re: C-section with DS1, so stitching was an ?extra? my Dr. offered to throw in as a salve, to make me feel better about CS should one have to happen.
Because the incision is already made, from there it?s not a difficult procedure for a doctor (does not have to be a plastic surgeon) to find the two sections of stomach muscles on either side, bring them back together and sew them to each other, down the line, eliminating the diastasis. Stomach muscles are then back in place where they should be from the beginning, so recovery of the appearance of the midsection is faster and easier. Of course I didn?t end up having it done since there was no C-section, so have no more detail on it, but definitely worth asking your professionals about if you?d be interested. My three-finger diastasis from DS1 did close over time with some help at the gym. This time I don?t think I have a large enough separation to qualify as diastasis [fingers crossed] - waiting for Dr. to confirm at 6-week appointment.
Best wishes for your CS on Tuesday; hope all goes very well.
