Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:41

Sorry Lucy - did you have a nice time - was it hot - I can't bear the thought of being hot!

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:43

Jabber - you've already been on it!
It's 539 messages long! Must have been up for a while!

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 12:43

RL, I think someone just accidentally posted on one of our old threads.

lucy5 · 25/09/2006 12:46

Red lorry, sorry i didn't make it clear. I live in Spain and it has been blooming boiling and absolutely horrible. It is cooling down now but we still have really hot days, so I can't wait for winter.

It's funny I have been looking at Spanish babies and they are all wrapped up. The other day , it must have been 35 and this baby had wooly tights, long sleeved top and a blanket. I know all the old ladies are going to stop me and tell me off for underdressing the baby. I already get it with dd who is a little nudist

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:46

But if this is part-one, how can it be part-two??
Oh I am confused! Although it doesnt take much these days

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 12:47

I think that was part two of second trimester or something.

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:50

Hi Lucy - no you're not at fault I am reading things to fast and missing everyother word.

I saw "I am, Spain and back in the same sentance and got it all wrong - sorry!

I have a nudey DD too. Although it's not as hot here - she doesnt seem to feel the cold!

Indith · 25/09/2006 16:11

Hey RL I've been eating loads for a few weeks, kind of went from normal 3 meals a day to 4 or 5 little ones to 4 or 5 big ones! I'm terrible! Not really into sweet things in all honesty though, but then if I eat salf I get all dehydrated. hard life this. I just went swimming, I need more food....

Lucy, I was in Spain from Feb til June this year, what is it with the Spanish and their dress sense? I swear they dress by the month not the weather, we had weeks of 20C in Feb and they were all in their big coats, even in May when it was boiling they were all in jumpers and scarves! I just don't understand!

lucy5 · 25/09/2006 19:31

It's funny, when i had not lived here very long, I noticed people staring at me. I thought they were looking at my shoes until I realised that they were staring AT MY BARE LEGS. It was April and far too early for no tights

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 19:36

Hi All,

have been to the MW this afternoon - now for the next installment.

I have carpel tunnel syndrome - so got a rather fetching splint to wear.
I have protien and glucose in my water, so it;s been sent away to test.
BP behaving for now and swelling - still swelling.
Also I am anemic, so I have iron tablets - which will be great for my constipation - just what I want piles the size of grapes. So now I also have to concentrate on drinking loads and loads of squash each day.
MW has asked me to see GP next week and be signed off for 2 weeks R&R - gladly, just sorry he was on leave this week!

lucy5 · 25/09/2006 19:46

So sorry redlorry, you sound like you are having a horrible time.

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 19:52

Hi Lucy,

Not to worry, I dont feel too bad in myself. But with or without a sicknote I think I might take Wednesday onwards off work. And at least I now know why I was having all the dizzy spells.

On another note - my DD who never poo's away from home - poo'd while in the waiting room when I was with MW, and happily announced it to her daddy for all to hear. Just goes to show how many times we've been in the place lately that she now feels comfortable enough to poo there

Oh, by the way, baby is now in the birthing position too! Just hope it's comfy on it;s head and stays there.

accessorizequeen · 25/09/2006 20:22

I've only been away a few days, & everyone's starting to feel awful. Magnolia, the whole situation seems diabolical, can't believe you'd be having a baby at 34 weeks! Have never even thought about hospitals being too far away before in that sense.
RL, it all keeps adding up doesn't it? Apparently prune juice great for constipation, in fact I think Debbsy mentioned in a while ago when she was originally due in Dec (how're things going debbsy, when ru due?). Carpal tunnel, is that normally associated with pg, hadn't come across it before. I had an RSI thing years ago and it was horrible didn't have to wear a splint tho. If they're offering time off work, sounds great to me!!! I'd take it in a minute. At least you have your crocs & pjs! (PS My crocs were there when I got home today have been wearing all evening, they're the best, I want 4 pairs now!).

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 21:01

Deepest sympathy RL. You sound a lot like me in my first pg except I never had protein or glucose in my urine. The carpal tunnel is awful. Just try to limit what you do with that hand - although the splint will limit you anyway!

Calmriver · 25/09/2006 21:38

Yes to the hunger. Suddenly I can eat everything in sight! Baby is storing fat!

I feel really annoyed tonight with everyone and everything. I feel like I just need to get to bed, but I don't want too..thats boring!

Anyone else feeling really otherwise!!!???

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 22:00

Well, this is the week I'm to try to start taporing off of my Zoloft. Heaven help anyone who crosses me now

Elibean · 25/09/2006 22:09

Calmriver, I feel like that nearly every evening - I think its because I'm overtired. I itch all over, feel restless, want to be mean to DH, and generally don't know where to put myself: I remember this from last time, but surely it was later on?!
Redlorry, I'm sorry you're feeling so rough...no wonder...am glad they're checking you over at least.
Castles, how's the moving going? ('course, you won't be able to answer that if the computer is packed)
Going to attempt an earlier than usual night here...and also attempt not to obsess about whether or not there are threadworms in our house/family/me its doing my head in. Dosed dh and dd tonight, just in case - gp says probably not, but she's still itchy - can't tell you how much I'd like to dose me too

Elibean · 25/09/2006 22:10

Jabber, good luck! Or is it dh that needs it
Seriously, hope you don't feel too rough.

accessorizequeen · 25/09/2006 22:49

Had not so good w'end at CenterParcs, my bike fell off when we were 30 mins down the road & was completely trashed so we had to go back to dump it then hit traffic later etc etc. DS in the car saying I want to get out every 10 seconds for an hour at the end. I just felt so physically exhausted the whole weekend, can't believe I'm only 28 weeks, was holding my belly up by the end of the day (who was asking about maternity belts, there is a thread in products at the moment) & my legs & hips hurt so much I couldn't sleep for the pain. What does the restless leg thing feel like, is that aching or twitchiness?? Do I just need to rest more if hips aching that much or is it par for the course? I did have the same prob last time but much later on. And the bp still dropping regularly with accompanying dizzy spells. It's not such a problem, just that I worry about driving or dropping something (like ds :}

Jabber, really feel for you with the insomnia if it's still continuing. I find lack of sleep from insomnia so much more difficult to deal with than ordinary lack of sleep because you don't know when it will stop. I do love the sound of a layette btw, I don't think I've heard that term for some time over here. I hope your friend gets you one! good luck giving up the zoloft too, take it easy.

jabberwocky · 26/09/2006 03:06

AQ - too bad about your bike. I'm amazed that you are still able to ride one! The only exercise I've been getting lately is chasing after ds. Although, sometimes I feel like I've just done a Buns of Steel tape IYKWIM. I think it's just the stress of balancing my bump that has my glutes sore

Evening is when I'm physically at my worst as well, elibean. My back starts to bother me and I just want to lie down and put my feet up.

The insomnia is not quite as bad this week. Last night was my first bad night after 3 or 4 good ones. Who was talking about achy hips? That was my main moan last time, and still rolling over in bed bothers me with this pg. I have to always remember to swing my legs over together when I get up in the morning or I'll regret it immediately!

Re: the Zoloft - yep, dh is the one who needs to be scared

poor, poor man...

jabberwocky · 26/09/2006 03:07

Oh, and I hope everything clears up at your house elibean as far as the maybe-threadworms situation. It does make one itchy just to think about it, doesn't it?

Redlorry75 · 26/09/2006 08:27

Hey All,

Have come to work today and scared my boss with the site of my lovely trendy splint and tales of all my aliments. Also told him I am seeing the GP next Monday to be signed off!! He has now moved our Thursday meeting to tomorrow where I tell him exactly what I do and how I do it - so he can try to cope in my absence - oh the feeling of power!

It was me asking about maternity belts, and MW has referred me to the physio so I can get one. I explained about the ripping pain I get in my side mainly at night, but occasionally after sitting still at work and she thinks a belt should help.

Last night I was woke every hour on the half hour from 2.30am by DD having a nightmare, her daddy watched the Ring II (I came to bed as am scardey cat) and I wonder if she heard the tense music etc, which scared her. The night before she was waking with a hair on her dummy and for cuddles - aww but not so aww when you are desperate for sleep and ricocheting off the walls like a zombie as you make your way in the dark.

Oh and MIL finally called last night to tell us about my new niece, even though she knew I had already spoken to SIL mum. Families - honestly!
My neice had a few little conditions that the doctors wanted to check so they said by keeping her in my SIL would get all the answers before going home and would not have to keep biring her back for checks etc. SIL and niece were discharged at 7.30pm last night.

So what's everyone got planned for their day today? Elibean fingers crossed for you that whatever is bothering DD it's not what you think.

Calmriver · 26/09/2006 08:54

Hi Guys it seems we're all on the downhill slope now! You know the baby is classed as full term at 36 weeks(thats why the books say you can go into labour anytime from then!-have your bag ready etc.) That only gives me 7 weeks as I am 29 weeks now. Scary thought...thats probably why we cant stop eating!???

Hi everyone, sorry about your ailments! Yesterday I celebrated my first full day of having a) no cold b) not ridiculously tired and c) no backache - all for the first time in about 4 months! I actually fine for the first time in AAAAGGGGESSS. I am not meaning to rub it in to those feeling under the weather, so sorry about that, but I am just so relieved to have a break in the durge of feeling horrible!

Have a nice day everybody

lucy5 · 26/09/2006 10:09

Well i am feeling bloody awful today, well iv'e been feeling awful for about 5 days. I just feel so dizzy. My bp is ok, so i guess it's the tablets. i just wish this dizziness would go away.
