hi all just popping in to say hi and hope your all doing really well with your pg xx

lucy5 · 23/09/2006 22:34

It's weird. isn't it? I still can't imagine myself with a baby! I went to toys r us with dd today and looked at prams, I just can't see myself pushing one.

Calmriver · 24/09/2006 09:43

Plans for Christmas girls?????

I will be acting as a dairy farm again, and more than likely have a VVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRYY quiet one! As for NY, I refuse to be home doing nothing, so I am trying to plan something social with a couple of friends like a dinner or something.

Dreamt I had a fight with my Mother in Law last night.

Funny story!

Last night I tried to have a 'quick' shave down south, obviously avoiding the most importnat bits, but as you must know...it's hard when you have to feel your way around as you cant see them anymore...
well...
I went to the loo after and noticed I was bleeding..forgot I had just shaved and suddenly got into a panic thinking this was it, CALL 999!

I sat there with the mirror on the back of my hairbrush afterwards and realised I had cut myself.....end of the panic!!!

Lol at Calmriver! I shaved my legs last night, was very proud of all that bending round the bump to reach my ankles. As for the rest of me, well you are a braver woman than I to go to hidden places with a sharp implement! I am officially embracing the hippy look for the forseeable future!

jabberwocky · 24/09/2006 14:20

LOL! Another hippy here, although I'll have to figure something out before my section. Dh may have to get into the act He will hate it, I'm sure. I love him dearly, but he's a bit of a prude.

Remodeling is still going on, but I'm trying to resign myself to the fact that it likely will not be finished in time and all four of us will be crammed upstairs at night. The only one who will be bothered is ds, whose room is very close to ours. Oh, well, life goes on...

Hi All,

Hope you are having nice weekends. Got a text from BIL this morning to say SIL had baby girl (2 girls now) at 1.45am and she weighed 8lb.4oz (no name yet)! He first DD was 6 weeks early and weighed 6lb odd.

Anyway I got really jealous as I want my bump now - although not as a premie, so to take my mind off it, DH took us all to local farm where we had a go at feeding goats and sheep - I did'nt touch the sheep just their bottle and washed my hands straight away, plus they were'nt new-born, but am still totally paranoid now! DD got some ladybird wellies so she was well happy and I have a nice swollen ankle. DH feels confident he has done his days work now and is sat reading the paper and the roast dinner is on the way!

DH is off for 2 weeks now so I am sending him up in the loft to retrieve baby gear so I can start sorting and washing!

Am seeing MW tomorrow for review after last weeks protien etc, and think I may ask for a couple of weeks off as well - as I am seeing her straight after work, my BP should be hign enough to convince her

Calmriver · 24/09/2006 16:17

I know it's hard, but I was all shaved and ready for my last section, so I don't want to let them down!!! JOKES!
ANYWAY!

I know what you mean RL about wanting your baba, I keep seeing these tiny little babies around, and I am quite anxious for mine too.

CONFESSION:

I have just eating 1/4 of a lemon tart and 1/4 of a chocolate tart and a handfull of minstrels!
When I wake up after a nap in the afternoon, I just go CRAZY for sugar!!!

Sorry should have said 'jelly' and DH is fuming not DD - she's not even aware! Although we're going to see the new arrival next weekend - at least that was the plan

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 11:19

Me again - where is everybody!

Dont comment on the phoning issue with BIL about new baby - I started a thread (or riot more-like)under Relationships and was completely shamed when everyone said we should have called them. Despite friends and family saying it should be the other way round.

Anyway the upshot is - I will bephoning them this afternoon - regardless!

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 11:21

Chock it up to pregnancy hormones I'm using that excuse as often as possible!

Up with insomnia again, it's 5:20 here and I've been awake since about 4:00. grrrrr

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 11:49

Hi Jabber - sorry about your insominia, but nice to see you - I was begining to feel like preggy-no-mates!

It's 11.50am here and I am at work! Have eaten all my morning rations and a friend has taken pity on me and treated me to some nice fresh bread rolls and butter - delicious

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 11:51

Yum, just had a cup of tea and an apple fritter I hate having insomnia, but then again it is nice to have a little time to myself to sit and feel the baby kick. This baby is so much more active than ds was and I am enjoying it quite a bit

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 11:53

Apple fritter - that sounds nice Homemade? If so how cos I think I could do with one! .

My bump is also kicking more this time. Esp after a good feed!

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 11:57

Nope, store bought. A friend brought them over for our weekly Sunday breakfast visit.

bad friend, bad friend

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:03

Oh I have a "bad friend" like that too. She always brings chocolate or 'insists' we have a takeaway. And of course she overpowers me every time.

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 12:07

I'm hoping dh finishes them off I'm doing so much better on my weight this time, I hate to blow it now. Of course "better" means I'm only up 20 pounds at this point, instead of 28 like with ds.

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:14

I stayed the same weight with DD, I know becaus I had just started a slimming club when found out I was PG, then when weighed in case of pain relief at 39 weeks had not gained a sinlg lb! However after she was born and everything fell back in to place I was still the same weight....go figure!

This time however I have a bit of a wobbly bottom (sorry that should be a bit more of a wobbly bottom than usual) , Also bump feels really heavy and uncomfortable! Although when I am sat on the couch the bump disappears into my existing belly and you'd never know!

Am going to ask MW about a belt thing for support, as one side I get really bad stretchy pains - like I imagine a hernia would feel almost!

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 12:22

Wow! no weight gain at all? Amazing.

I used a belt with ds and it helped a lot. Have been wondering if I would need one this time around. Probably so. I've been having more and more days of that "carrying around a bag of concrete" feeling that is only relieved by lying down.

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:32

That's helpful that you found it useful when you were PG last time. I have'nt actually heard from anyone else who has used one.

Will definately ask when I see her this afternoon

lucy5 · 25/09/2006 12:38

Hello, i'm eating for Spain. Just got back into sweet things. I have put on 3 .5 kgs so far, so i'm pretty pleased and would like to keep it that way.

Redlorry75 · 25/09/2006 12:40

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 12:40
