ffallada · 22/04/2014 15:27

Sorry if this is tmi - I'm experiencing some bleed

ffallada · 22/04/2014 15:28

*bleeding. Very very light ATM but very very red. Feel shit, but felt that way yesterday and the day before. At what point do I go to the gp? Is there any point in the hospital? At six weeks is there anything anyone can do other than let nature take its course?

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 22/04/2014 15:37

Ffallada, i'm sorry to hear, you must be so worried. I would go to epu ASAP so they can check where the bleeding is coming from

ffallada I would go to EPU. They can scan you and will check for ectopic.

ffallada · 22/04/2014 15:51

Sorry, my mind has gone blank - what's an EPU and how would I get in touch with one?

CallingAllEngels · 22/04/2014 15:57

Early Pregnancy Unit.

I've never been to one as I'm not in the UK and we don't have them here.

I'd google then either call them or drop by. Perhaps soemone with more experience knows?? Ladies?

Whatsone sorry to hear you're having trouble too. How horrible to have to wait in limbo land.

Thinking of you both

So sorry for what you're going through Ffallada and OneMore I can't really offer any help or advice other than, take it easy, look after yourselves and Ffallada EPU sounds like good advice. I'm always here for hand holding if needed Thanks

ffallada · 22/04/2014 16:29

Thanks ladies - called gp who would have sent me to EPU but they shut at 1600hrs. Going to see gp in half an hour insted. Not worried, just sad.

PolytheneGirl · 22/04/2014 16:32

5+1 today for me, I still have no symptoms except for slightly sore boobs, was at the gym today and any movement made them ache, must get a proper sports bra fitted.

Have 'meet and greet' appt with the midwife on Friday, still think it's too early to be seen but will see what she says.

Has anybody shared their pregnancy news with anyone yet apart from husband/partner? I am desperate to tell someone but know it's still too early!

cooperbug · 22/04/2014 16:53

Ffallada hope all is ok x

CallingAllEngels · 22/04/2014 17:08

ffallada sending positive thoughts and virtual hugs.

whats don't google! HCG levels vary wildly from pg to pg. The important thing is the progression...I think they should double every 48 hours, so tthat's why they're calling you back on Thurs.

Both of you, there's also a Dec 14 pg after mc an thread. Lots of ladies with experience of mc and problems in pg if you need extra advice.

Thinkign of you both. x

CallingAllEngels · 22/04/2014 17:15

cooper atm NO ONE knows except for us! At this stage with DS I had told my best friend and DH had told one of his close colleagues. Apart from one colleague and one other close friend (who I told at 8 weeks) we waiting till our scan at 11 weeks before telling our families and then I told work.

With my last (unsuccessful) pg I had told my running partner and close colleague.

This time we've agreed to tell my parents this weekend since we'll be with thm in the UK and otherwise weren't planning on being back in the UK till July.

Last time we got up at 3am in Holland on a Saturday and surprised them at 9am in the UK with a cup of tea. They were amaxed to see us, but had a rather underwhelming reaction to pg news, partly from shock and partly because we did it DH's way (showing them a video of our ultrasound, pretending it was a video DH had made...I think they were confused! )

CallingAllEngels · 22/04/2014 17:23

We figure that since I will be telling my parents if something goes wrong, we may as well tell them now about the good news.

I guess we will tell ILs when we get back. But will ask everyone to keep it to themselves until we've had our 12 week scan (which we had at 10+5 last time).

Cineraria · 22/04/2014 17:52

Hope things go ok for you Ffallada and Whatsonemore and that your doctors are able to give you both good news.

Cooperbug, we've not told anyone either. A few friends knew we were trying though and I'm not really sure what to say if asked directly. I think my line manager hasn't bought my story that I'm not drinking coffee or alcohol because I'm not sleeping well and want to see if that helps!

Treaclepie19 · 22/04/2014 18:14

Sorry you are experiencing this ladies :( sending a virtual hug. Look after yourselves.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 22/04/2014 18:17

Thinking of you both Ffallada and Whatsonemore.
I've got some Fybogel today so will see if that helps! Have also stocked up on dried apricots and dates :P
I'm just nearing the end of my probationary period at work so I definitely don't want anyone to find out until I'm ready to tell. I do a lot of lifting and stair-climbing at work, though, which I'm really not looking forward to!
Got my doctors appointment on Saturday morning. Since I'm on various medications and have a thyroid issue the doctor told me to come in as soon as I knew I'd conceived so they could do blood tests and adjust my medication, but the receptionist didn't seem to think it was urgent, so fingers crossed everything is cooking nicely inside!
No MS yet as such, just a few queasy moments.
Hope everyone else is well.
