Following some spotting, I went to EPU this morning, after 2 hours wait, all good, saw heartbeat, very relieved but they didn't give us a picture, DP was allowed to film the screen though Smile

Somerset we're moving in three weeks too, have no idea how Confused
Nearly vommed in the street on my way to Boots this morning for my meal deal. Put me right off!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/05/2014 13:59

Are we due a new fred soon?

ziggystarducks · 09/05/2014 14:14

Hi all - I was on the old December thread but its moved?!

Been a bit absent due to horrific morning sickness bleurghh.

Have tried Metoclopramide and Phenergan....useless. Have just been upped to Cyclizine Hydrochloride so Fingers Crossed.

Also, we went for our first scan and Harmony test on Wednesday.

All a bit unexpected...... but I was expecting twins, sadly one has passed away though. VERY hard to say how I feel right now. Grieving but also happy the remaining twin is healthy and growing well. Its called Vanishing Twin syndrome and it meant I couldn't have the Harmony test, I had something called Panorama instead, but we've been warned that the lost twins DNA will still be in my blood so we will be likely to get a false positive for abnormalities.

Wishing all fellow December mummy's huge hugs as we battle towards the end of our first trimester xxx

CallingAllEngels · 09/05/2014 14:27

Have been awol this week as back to school wh7ch has wiped me out.

feeling sick as a dog today. Seem to feel better on work days as it takes my mind off it, though exhausted.

had coffee with a friend this morning and blamed ds for be being so knackered

Haven't caught up with thread so hope everyone's okay.

PresidentSpreadable · 09/05/2014 14:41

Glad the scan was okay Covent, you must be very relieved.

That must be quite difficult ziggy, sorry you're suffering so badly with ms as well.

I think someone else on the thread (or maybe one of the other December ones) has recently found out that they've lost a twin as well, but with the remaining one is looking good. I suppose it must be relatively common in the early stages with multiples.

Somersetgirl1990 · 09/05/2014 14:52

Peace are you moving far? I've been studying so me and dp have lived up here for 3 years, going home to my family home (just us living there though) so at least everything is familiar!

Shanels · 09/05/2014 14:57

Hi guys
I have had continuous yellow discharge since the spotting stopped and have to wear panty liners all the time. I decided not to worry about it but should I be? Just checking with those who have experience. I'm seeing my GP on Thurs do hopefully okay to wait till then?
Sx

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 09/05/2014 15:15

shanels I have no experience but if it's not itchy or smelly then i would think it can wait til GP appointment.

Thanks president I burst into tear when sonographer said that all was fine.

Hello, Thankyou everyone for your good lucks and telling me all your experiences it's helped a lot! I went for a scan and the pregnancy is in the right place however it didn't have a heart beat so maybe I'm not as far gone as we thought? I'm going back in 11 days to make sure it's grown so that means another scan! But I don't mind as long as it's growing ok!! The bleeding was next to the sac and is very normal apparently! Midwife Thursday and then the following Tuesday is the scan! Still hoping it goes ok! Hope you all have a great weekend, you all deserve it :)

oohdaddypig · 09/05/2014 15:29

Oh ziggy that's hard - you must be full of mixed emotions right now. Have you asked about high dose vit b6? It's prescribed in the US and what I'm using now, with some success.

Hi paranoid great the scan was ok. How often have you watched that video?

shanels I have that too. I think as long as its not oderous it is ok?

Really nervous about my scan tonight. Hoping my ominous feelings are my imagination Hmm

Shanels · 09/05/2014 15:29

Thanks and yes, the tears are so understandable xx really happy for you

Shanels · 09/05/2014 15:48

Good luck daddypig excited for you

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 09/05/2014 16:50

daddypig good luck with the scan and I've watched the video only once, promise! I've always been a rubbish liar

Ziggy sorry to hear that. Don't know if this will help but my midwife told me that 1 in 8 pregnancies start out as a twin pregnancy but only 1 in 80 births are twins so 72 never make it and most people never know they were carrying multiples.

Glad your scans went well. I had a private scan on Wednesday at what I thought was 8 +2 but she dated me at 8+5. I cried my eyes out when I heard the heartbeat for the first time. It's so emotional hearing that living baby growing in your belly. Have had my date thru for my nhs scan which is 4 June so all getting exciting.

Hope you've all got lovely plans for the weekend.

Cineraria · 09/05/2014 18:45

So exciting to hear about people's scans. Must be amazing to finally see something. Sorry to hear your news ZiggyI hope the sickness gets better with your medication and that you'll still manage to enjoy looking forward to your remaining baby as you come to terms with the loss.

I saw the doctor today but won't see the midwife until after ten weeks. It was a bit odd as I think she was having trouble remembering all the things she is supposed to ask me and remembering something else as I was opening the door to go.

Thank goodness for summer clothes. I dug them out and it looks like they'll fit better than my winter ones for the next few weeks. I didn't want to wear maternity ones before telling people in case it gave the game away!

Ziggy, sorry for your loss. One of the women I know from another antenatal board had the same thing and she was getting constant 'congrats on the twins' from HCP who didn't read her full notes, so if you've already got yours, write vanishing twin on the front so they dot put you through the same. X

Shanels, I have crazy heavy discharge when pregnant, panty liners everyday, it's normal but if it's smelly or uncomfortable let them know. X

CatFaceCrayola · 09/05/2014 20:06

Sorry to hear there is sad news :(

I've felt great today! Hardly any queasy and lots of energy. Felt normal again...until about 15 min ago. Now I have slumped :( meant to be going out and meeting some folk (and nursing an orange juice all evening!) But I'm thinking possibly bed instead!

Also...my nipples are killing!

7+5

Bettycakes80 · 09/05/2014 20:59

Today I cried because I dropped some grapefruit on my jeans, and tonight I've made the mistake of watching Sister Act, of all things, and everytime the nuns sing I'm bawling!

10+4

oohdaddypig · 09/05/2014 21:21

Just a quick one to say scan went well. One strong heart beat.

So relieved and happy. For all it is number three, it is no less special :) took a video of the wee pumping heart (thanks for the tip!)

ParanoidCoventGarden75 · 09/05/2014 21:29

Lol, how many times daddypig?
At ROH watching la traviata, amazing but not as much as the video Smile

Hello all! New to Mumsnet and about 10 weeks I think. It's all very nerve wracking - with every cramp I worry more, but I'm hoping that the scan in two weeks will put my mind at rest. Is anyone else feeling really tired? Nothing has prepared me for the exhaustion! X
