OneMore the consultant couldn't tell me for sure if it would happen again for sure and had a you'd have to get pregnant and see kind of attitude! but it is highly likely. I'm off the the hospital to see my usual consultant next Friday to break the bad news.

How early did you have the pprom? Were your DC very prem? Hope they're all ok now. You must be worried Thanks

Hi all, just joining the new thread. My stabbing pain disappeared early Sunday morning thanks to an overnight warm 'hot' water bottle. So relieved. My boobs are massive atm and I'm taking major questions from family members. Managed to throw some off the scent last night when I drank a bottle of corona I was given. Or in reality, when given the bottle, made like I was taking a swig spilt some on myself, made an exit to clean myself off and filled emptied the bottle down a sink and filled it with some fizzy apple juice. Perfect colour and fizziness! Lol

Welcome to all the newbies, living reading all the stories on here. I have a late January birthday and akaSys hated it as everyone still feels the effects of Christmas do I'm hoping bubs arrives bang on 7th dec or before so can separate the two occasions as best I can!!

Sheilathegreat · 21/04/2014 18:41

Hi everyone

Just been at a family BBQ and could have accidentally mentioned being PG half a dozen times. So desp to tell my best friend but DH wants to tell our parents first which will be next weekend. I'm sure they'll be pleased but I keep thinking it is number three how excited can they be?! And maybe I could just tell BF and ask her to keep it to herself... I am a terrible liar tho and expect DH will just know!

Most looking forward to telling my other DC. My DD especially will be over the moon Grin

Nice to hear from you all - hope those suffering with cramps, MS and dreaded constipation are getting through it Thanks

CallingAllEngels · 21/04/2014 18:41

Great subterfuge martie ! My MIL kept trying to foist rose on me yesterday.

Rejjie · 21/04/2014 19:40

cineraria Please don't think you're old. I'm 41 next month and this is my first too.

dottytablecloth · 21/04/2014 19:56

Can I join?

I'm about 6-7 weeks pg with dc2.

Have no ms which I'm a little concerned about as I was so ill with ds (now 14 months)

Feeling good- my only real symptom of pregnancy was slightly sore breasts and a missed period

Kidneybeansmummy · 21/04/2014 20:09

Hi DrFunkes, yes probably, I think I am being impatient - almost willing to have morning sickness, at least then I would think something was happening. With my first I had really strong positive on hospital grade tests on the day my AF was due. Second pregnancy, I didn't even know I was pregnant until I miscarried (6 months post natal! oops). Third pregnancy, like this didn't show up on hospital preg tests, but did show up on clearblue and the dates matched - and now this one! Re the name, that is what our first baby was called from the scan! :)
ImBrian, hmmm silly man and tactless in laws - it's a shame you can't pick them isn't it! Sending a hug.
hi treacle, pregnancy is worrying - but we are here to share your worries.
Hope you've all had a lovely Bank Holiday Monday.

StetsonsAreCool · 21/04/2014 20:55

Treacle and Poly - fellow yamyam here. Originally from Black Country, now living in well know market town with questionable pronunciation...

My cramps appear to have gone today, so today I've felt really not pregnant. Dropped DD off with the PILs today who are taking her on holiday for the week. I've got a couple of days off work, so I'm going to make the most of not having to do much!

Getting my hair done tomorrow, then meeting my friend for celebratory cake. A Patisserie Valerie has just opened here which I'm very excited about trying!

I think I'm going to tell family next weekend. We've got a couple of things going on so it would probably be the best time. Although I'm really enjoying having this to myself! I've told a couple of close friends, but I'm reluctant to tell family. Don't know why, as last time it was sooooo hard to keep my mouth shut and ended up blurting it out at about 6 weeks!

PolytheneGirl · 21/04/2014 21:18

Stetson you have me wracking my brain! Lol market town with questionable pronunciation you say?!?

Cineraria · 21/04/2014 21:30

Thanks Rejjie, I'm not worrying that I'm too old really, just relieved it's happened and that there are other people like you around my age who are new to this too.

Welcome Dottytablecloth! Nice to see more people joining. I wonder how many people we'll have by the time the babies start arriving.

oohdaddypig · 21/04/2014 21:45

Busy thread - welcome to the new girls and congrats.

whatsonemore that is a remarkable history. Do you have a stitch put in or do they check you by scans? I wonder if your consultant raises his eyebrows when he sees you coming through the door now! It just shows the various things we all go through to have our precious DCs.

Christ my sickness was bad today. It's better if I stay busy but I usually have it until at least 18 weeks so all going well I have 3 months of this ;) it's the complete luck of anything I want to eat.

Stetson - I'm wondering if it begins with "A".

Kidneybeansmummy - honestly I would do anything to avoid m/s. I find it ghastly :(

SassehMonsta · 21/04/2014 21:50

I've had to buy a couple of news bras today, as my others weren't cutting it. Only 6+2! madness.

PolytheneGirl · 21/04/2014 22:13

OneMore sorry I missed your post! Confused
That's amazing my DS was born at 36wks. I bet you were terrified at 20wks! When will see your consultant? I'm ready for eye rolling when I see mine!

If I hadn't be pg, we'll be stuck in Belgium overnight. After a cancelled train, bus replacement, walk in the rain, missed connection, we are back home thanks to a controller who let us got in and sit in first class in an overcrowded train we didn't have tickets for. DP was so impressed by the special treatment received that he said: "we should get you pregnant more often" Shock

Sorry, I realised that the link in the opening post doesn't work properly on computer cos I did it from my phone. If you're viewing it from a computer, click on "go to spreadsheet view" much nicer, especially the stats page.

Hope everyone is coping with their MS and various symptoms.

I'm a T1 diabetic and my whole pregnancy I was told "you'll have a big baby" then in the 3rd tm they measured me and said he was small and I had to go for growth scans. Small is normal for my family though. I had steroids for a week before delivery and I think that made him have a bit of a growth spurt and he was born at 5lb15oz which I thought was pretty good?! He did go down to 14lb13 though as he had feeding probs.

I'm only 5+4 and haven't even got in to see my GP yet! How about you?

StetsonsAreCool · 21/04/2014 22:30

Crikey, this thread moves fast Grin

Head towards Wales, begins with S. BBC say it one way (rhymes with throw), everyone else says it the other way (rhymes with, um, threw)...

Must confess, I'm a little bit in love with whoever did the stats doc. I love an Excel sheet, and that is truly a thing of beauty

I'm getting pain in my side for a few seconds when I squirm in bed or change position. It's near my waist and I'm barely 5 weeks so I doubt it's round ligament pain, shall I put it down to general back pain? I'm extremely anxious because I'm on various medications which I'm not planning on stopping taking, and I'm overweight, and I'm just generally a worrier! So I'm trying to avoid googling all the terrible things that could happen Confused need to stay calm and happy and positive! I'm looking forward to going home tomorrow so I can indulge all my symptoms without worrying about looking pregnant in front of PILs! Work on Wednesday though, eurgh... New comfy shoes might be in order!
How is everyone else? I don't have any real MS yet. With my first (and last) pregnancy (terminated) I didn't notice it until I was about 6-7 weeks, but I didn't even know I was pregnant so wasn't symptom spotting!

PolytheneGirl · 21/04/2014 22:39

Stetson I got ya Wink

OneMore I honestly believe he did a lot of growing that last week as did I We had steroids for the lung development issues as I was having an ELCS at 36wks. I think the growth was a bonus! Sounds like yours did ok on the weight front too. Over 5lbs is pretty good IMHO. Very early days! Are you going anywhere nice?

Treaclepie19 · 21/04/2014 22:52

Peace I'm the same. A complete worrier about everything.

I'm getting lots of symptoms which is great but I also worry about them haha. You're not alone.
