I haven't found a Feb 2007 thread yet so thought I'd start one. Just found out I was pregnant on Monday so it is very early days still - but so exciting nonetheless. The due date calculators generally say I am due on 1 Feb, with on churning out 31 Jan and another 4 Feb. I thought it was more like 15 Feb but I will find our more at my first doctor's appointment on 15 June.

My stats:
me 28
dh 35
first baby
due 31/01 or 1/02 or 4/02 or 15/02 ???? (take your pick!)

Anyone want to join me?

babydriver · 31/05/2006 13:59

Hi soundbites, congratulations, and I'm very happy to join you. Like you, I'm getting due dates of 31 Jan/1 Feb, though I haven't checked it with the doctor yet. (Appt on Friday I hope.)

I'm really really pleased. We've been trying for a year during which time I had a m/c, so this still feels like very early days and I have everything crossed.

As for the stats, I'm 37, DS 36 and we have one DS who's 2.5.

soundbites · 31/05/2006 14:27

Good to hear from you Babydriver!

We conceived the very first month I was off the pill so we are slightly shocked (though no less delighted). My cousin had a mc just after 8 weeks recently so I am approaching the whole thing with a little caution - and dh would wrap me up in bubble wrap he is being so protective (very adorable)!

My doctor is away so 15 June is the first appointment she can do - would rather wait to see her than go to someone else.

Keep in touch … and let me know how your doc appointment goes (and what to expect!)

OMG!!! Grin Hiya ladies, congratulations to you both. I'm sorry I am just gatecrashing - I am from the Feb 06 thread and I can not believe there is a Feb 07 thread already, where have all those months gone? All the best to everyone who joins here and I hope you get as much out of the antenatal threads as I did Smile

uptheduffandincognito · 31/05/2006 16:32

Can I pop my head around the corner and say hello. I've just found out that I'm pregnant - wasn't really trying yet - had planned to relly sytart next month. I haven't been able to tell my dh yet so I'm incognito until I can. It's all very scary and exciting too!

I reckon (from one of those online calculators) that I am due on 5th Feb although my dates are usually squewiff.

babydriver · 31/05/2006 18:18

Hi uptheduff, love the name! Congrats, and I know exactly what you mean about scary and exciting at the same time. Hope your DH is pleased when you get to tell him.

soundbites, I won't be able to post about the doctor as I'm not in work on Friday and then going on holiday for 2 weeks in France. But one thing I clearly remember from last time was that they asked me which hospital I wanted to give birth in and I was completely floored by that question as it hadn't even crossed my mind. It may be that where you live there's only one obvious choice anyway, but if you are near a few hospitals, it's worth having a look at birthchoiceuk.co.uk to get a little guidance. You can still change your mind afterwards, but where I live, one hospital is vastly more popular than the others so it's worth getting your request in early.

Oh and the other thing I remember was that the NCT classes locally got booked up almost immediately - I think people rang the moment they got the BFP!! So if you're interested in their support, get on the phone pronto!

Take care.

Puddingclub · 31/05/2006 21:14

Hello, congratulations everyone!

I'm really extremely surprised to be joining you! I did a test this afternoon as AF was late and I was feeling that special kind of nauseous....and whaddaya know. Have changed name as some people in RL seem to have guessed my MN moniker, and won't want to announce anything for quite a while.

For the stats:
Me 36
DH 34 tommorrow
One DS 20 mo
Online thingies suggest due 5/02/07

Blimey.

uptheduffandincognito · 01/06/2006 06:33

Hi Pudding club (and everyone else) Congratulations! A nice birthday surprise for your dh then! Look forward to getting to know everyone over the next 9 months and beyond!

Feeling quite dodgy this morning - that horrid metalic taste in my mouth is here to stay I think. And the 3 am wees are here too.

soundbites · 01/06/2006 09:39

Welcome uptheduff (does dh know yet?) and puddingclub - we are getting a nice little group together!

I don't really have any symptoms other than sore and swollen boobs which was the giveaway before I tested. I almost fainted in the shower on Tuesday morning - scary but a good lesson to me to take things nice and easy now. The last two mornings I have sat up in bed sipping a glass of water for a few mins before getting up and it seems to have done the trick!

Thanks for your advice, babydriver, about the doctor. I think there is only the one hospital in my area and my neighbour had her baby there in Jan and it seemed ok.

How do I book myself into the local NCT classes? Can I do it or does a doctor need to refer me? Perhaps it is on the net.

Have a good day all of you!

Congrats ladies im on the due jan thread. Loads of luck to all of you

babydriver · 01/06/2006 12:32

Hi everyone, looking forward to getting to know each other over the next months.

Haven't had too many 'symptoms' so far except from feeling hungry a lot of the time - need to make sure I have a big breakfast as I felt quite woozy just on one bowl of muesli. Had the 3am wees earlier in the week but managed to sleep through a couple of nights too thank goodness. Not looking forward to getting out of the tent in the middle of the night next week (camping holiday) so will have to try to get my 2 litres in early in the day.

soundbites, yes the NCT are on the web somewhere and you just ring or email your local branch. I can't remember the site address but I'm sure they'll come up with google.

lennied · 01/06/2006 13:04

Just wanted to say congratulations ladies, I am on due December and have just noticed this new thread. I hope you all have happy and healthy pregnancies.

Good luck

soundbites · 01/06/2006 13:05

Babydriver - good luck at the doctor's tomorrow. Hope the (camping) holiday goes well. I have never been brave enough to go camping although my SIL has suggested we join her, her hubby and 2 kids camping in Cornwall in August. Lovely to be in France though …

I did look up NCT on the web and have phoned and requested the info / registration pack. Thanks for the tip.

soundbites · 02/06/2006 09:24

Congratulations Mummy2Jake - Hopecat said you might be heading this way (she found me lurking on the May thread, holding out to the bitter end!). Any news from her? She hoped she might join too ...

Feeling a bit sicky for the first time today - which I find quite consoling in a way (proves things are going according to plan!).

Out of the office for the rest of the day but will catch up with you all after the weekend - all of you have a good one.

OP posts:
Puddingclub · 02/06/2006 13:05

Oh boy, I am feeling rough today. I was sick every day for 6 months (from about 6 weeks onwards) with my last pregnancy. I do hope its not the same this time.

For some reason feeling very anxious today, like this may not be meant to be. Hope I'm wrong

Puddingclub · 02/06/2006 13:07

Despite this, I am still managing to worry about what on earth you wear as a winter coat when you are 8 months pregnant in January.

mummy2jake · 02/06/2006 22:48

thanks soundbites hopcats af arrived the other 2 days late i believe i was hoping she would be joining here just after me speak 2 u all soon.

sorkycake · 04/06/2006 22:16

Just checking in after the weekend. Did another pg test today (cheapy) to see if line came up faster and stronger, and it did. Don't know why I felt the need to do it, but did.
Boobs very sore today and bigger, DH would be very pleased if he was allowed anywhere near 'em.
Didn't really get the sore boobs with both other pg's so that's new for me. Also went for a run on Saturday am and started retching halfway round! Good job noone saw me, I'd have been mortified.
Must ring m/w and get an appt. Also having a bit of a panic over the need for a new car now we'll have 3 little ones. Will anyone else have to upgrade?
Tiredness is a pain in the a@#* with 2 preschoolers, oh and while I'm whinging, peeing 4 times a night...not helping! grrr.
Other than mini rant, I'm still grinning like a cheshire cat! Grin

cadbury · 05/06/2006 12:57

Hello everyone - I was "upthedufandincognito" but am able to come out of the closet now Grin

Dh was delighted - and keeps grinning. Have told a few key people (probably too many actually) and have just sent off a sample for the drs test. Will hopefully have that back by Thursday.

My stats are - Me (32), dh (40!!!!), dd (5 and a half) and ds (3 in July).

I have a little indigestion but the morning sickness proper hasn't really kicked in yet. Feeling a bit woosy and butterfly-tummy at the moment which was pretty distracting during my driving lesson this morning.

Pudding club - I've been getting that anxious feeling too. Think positive. Smile

lilymum · 05/06/2006 20:50

Hello all, feel a bit silly as just posted on due Jan thread cos I'd worked dates wrong, but online caluclators say due 2nd week of Feb... So I'm here instead!

Am 30, married 8 years, this is my fifth baby, and something of a suprise... But actually feeling pretty upbeat about it all at the moment. (Not so good in the middle of the night though).

Have 3 girls, nearly 7, 5 and 3, and one boy 18 months.

Determined to relax and enjoy this pregnancy, and am enjoying the calm before the storm before sickness kicks in - was bloody awful last time, had to have bed rest for a month.

So reckon I have 2 weeks to clean and tidy the house before all I want to do is stick head down the loo all day!
