dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 15:35

Salamander · 22/06/2006 15:37

Poor booby, everyone!

All the people on this thread should come round and pamper you!

pucca · 22/06/2006 15:39

Hey everyone, hope everyone ok?

Well my latest news is i have to go see consultant on Tues as on the 3D scan the baby was measuring 4 weeks bigger than he should be so i gather i will be having a growth scan, i also had a little excess fluid so i guess that will be checked out too, who knows maybe i will have the section a little earlier due to his size, other than that i feel like my tummy cannot stretch anymore lol, the skin is so tight i don't think there is any room left for him to get any bigger lol.

purpleturtle · 22/06/2006 15:40

Dh has just brought dd home from school with an Accident Report form which the first aider has drawn a star on and written "a very very brave girl". Apparently she has grazed her knee quite badly, and there's still some dirt in it for us to get out at bathtime.

My children are brave only because they've learned that sympathy is rarely forthcoming from their mother. Nonetheless, having a very, very brave girl has made me quite a proud mummy.

eenywifemum · 22/06/2006 15:41

you arent shallow booby! I'd love all that pampering!!

purple i love your reasoning with your DH! I say go with the addiction!! I used to get a spa treatment once a month but havent in ages just to save money - but if you can manage it I say do it!! Makes a woman feel good about herself !

purpleturtle · 22/06/2006 15:41

4 weeks bigger, Pucca!

Have you already got a section scheduled? I can't keep up round here.

dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 15:43

purple turtle bless her im such a wimp with grazes dont fancy scrubbing that out will be nannys job as in my mum

eenywifemum · 22/06/2006 15:43

Hi Pucca! Wow 4 weeks bigger!! Good luck!!

Purple - well done about the 'very brave girl' {grin]

dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 15:44

pucca does this mean you'll have to a have a c section then

pucca · 22/06/2006 15:45

PT...Yes so far they have said section will be done @ 39 weeks, but who knows now! scary or what lol.

dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 15:45

and did you have one last time

im off to mw see you all later

pucca · 22/06/2006 15:46

Was having a section anyway due to having a bad 3rd degree tear with my dd.

PinkTulips · 22/06/2006 18:37

purple... well done to your little girl, sounds like my attitude too.... i tend not to pay much heed unless blood is pouring from somewhere or i find they'll do the shakespearean death scene every time they stub their toes ('they' being dd and my cousin who i mind alot in case anyone was wondering where the extra child popped from!)

good luck with mw booby

ouch pucca btw, just as well your having the cs if he's a big baby... four weeks ahead is a few pounds at this stage isn't it?

OP posts:
lunavix · 22/06/2006 18:51

pucca I hope it's not a few lbs difference!

eeny - hair sounds great!!!!!! Very envious

Sal - oh dear You'd think working for the nhs they'd get it right!!

pinktulips/booby - sorry to have missed you out!

purpleturtle - there's a big sports chain - think it's sportsworld? - where all the england shirts are now like £11... that's how come dh got one lol!!!!

havne't eaten as much today - BHM know exactly what you mean there just doesn't always feel like there's enough room in there for food plus baby... having said that the thoughts of bath sponges, lilos and chlorine are always in my mind, my tongue waters and I suddenly feel dehydrated - they're all water-related problems maybe it's a subconscious dehydration issue????

sarahlou1uk · 22/06/2006 20:18

purple - if you're near Meadowhall, Soccer Sports near the Halifax are selling them for £11!

pucca · 22/06/2006 20:45

As far as weight concerned if he keeps measuring 4 weeks bigger according to the growth chart which also says i am measuring 3 weeks bigger he will be 10lb - ish at 39 weeks glad i not pushing this one out thats for sure lol.

dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 20:58

hi ya back fom mw no blood yeah fundal height measuring 33 with the tape measure its 34 and im only 31 have decided to send me for growth scan if still big in three weeks bp has stabilised and baby has slightly dropped but not engaged

purpleturtle · 22/06/2006 21:12

It's not so much the price that puts me off football shirts...

But thanks!

eenywifemum · 22/06/2006 22:22

We've got lots of big babies on this thread!! Not only were November/December fertile months but they seem to have been big-growth months too!

Still on a happy high with my hair which is good because I was just REALLY sick for ages but it didnt get me down.

PinkTulips · 23/06/2006 09:49

oooowwwww. my back and hips have been in agony since 4 this morning and i can barely walk. never realised how lucky i had it first time round when i could just curl up in bed for the day when i felt really rotten instead of having to haul screaming dd around the place

muminaquandary · 23/06/2006 10:22

PTulips you have all my sympathy - get to see that physio quick, get some safe painkillers, ice packs & even if it gets really bad consider crutches as well as tubigrip for the days when really bad. I had this once before both pg's as a side-effect of a particularly nasty viral infection / drug reaction, and I found that crutches (actually very stylish black wooden walking cane) were indispensable ...

BigHotMama · 23/06/2006 10:46

Morning everyone thank god its Friday!

Wow, we are in for some big baba's. I was quite shocked when midwife told me I could be looking at a 9-10lber but I just cant see it being that big? Maybe its all the full fat milk I've been gulping, his bones are probably bigger than mine lol! My friend gave birth to a 10lb'er and she reckons it was due to spinach overload lol.

Booby your not shallow for wanting to be pampered, I think everyobody jumps at the chance, my sister is a beautician and does all this for free for me so I'm quite lucky really! Am in need of one of her delux pedicures me thinks!

Eeny, they didnt really go into detail about blood transfusions, but they did take 2 bottle sout of me? Cheek! Glad your loving your hair. has anybody noticed their hair looking shinier and thicker? I normally dye mine black but at the moment the colour is looking very shiny and dark brown. Must be the lovely hormones!

Lol Luna at your fetish with sponges!

Had a tour around the labour wards last night and saw the birthing pool I'm hoping to be in, looks really nice and clean and not too big as I'd imagined! All the rooms have en-suite and are really modern. Really started to hit home being there and seeing the place. On our way out we saw a girl in labour walking around with her tens machine attached, she was crying her heart out bless!

According to books I'm reading the baby is around 4-5lb at 34 weeks and it sure feels like it at the moment as bump feels so heavy when I'm walking now, feel like I could pick it up and carry it around lol.

Oh, the nursery is painted a gorgeous fresh lemon and looks fab! Was very impressed with DH's free hand painting skills too! Just waiting for our new wardrobes, drawers and cotbed and its will be ready for arrival of baba.

BigHotMama · 23/06/2006 10:51

PT, Hope your ok chick? I get really stiff and achey if I sit down for a while and then get up Feels worse in the mornings its like I've done an aerobic workout and my muscles are aching and stiff! If I try and keep too active my bump feels too heavy and I have to sit back down! We just cant win! Wont be long now is all I keep thinking!

How ya doin' muminaq?
