Thanks ladies. Feel a bit silly not being able to remember anything from last pg's!!!! Brain fog has set in....

Yellow, sols are the bane of my life! Will only take my calls if they need something, otherwise its like getting blood out of a stone!!!! They're over paid and underworked IMHO! (Sorry to any decent sols out there, yet to meet you!!)

Grin

Tbh the Estate agents we have bought off are nagging to get an answer to whats going on but to be fair in the whole of this our EA's and the others have done most of the leg work.

They're saying they are waiting for the cheque to clear before exchanging which should be today but IMO that should have happened first thing surely?

olivo · 19/06/2006 15:34

hello again - just managed top get a two hour nap so feeling a bit less worse-for-wear. now trying to wake the baby up as its having a quiet day! ice lollies seem to usually do the trick!

melsy - thanks for your offer to find the homeopathic thing - i mentioned to my doctor but she said she wouldnt recommend that route. It sso hard, everything that is allowed or not allowed seems to be such a matter of the personal opinion of whichever 'health care professional' you talk to. will try the spray and my inhalers for a while but may come back to you for the homeopathic info.

sorry to hear others have got hassles too.melsy, hope yur appt went ok. Yellow - you must be so frustrated! snowboo - phone the mw just in case!

have to do some work, even more behind now Sad

SnowBoo · 19/06/2006 15:39

Yellow, you will be surprised how close to the wire some sols get! Even after nearly ten years of estate agency (waiting for the tomatoes to be thrown) sols still baffle me.

Normally we get told they will only do exchanges and completions on a Friday! Don't know what else they do all week....But keep harrassing them!

BigHotMama · 19/06/2006 16:39

Hi everyone, hope your all ok! I too have forgotten who said what, did what, felt what and has what? Blush Blush and its taken me since 9am this morning to catch up on this thread! You lot can talk for England! Grin
On saturday morning I experienced the baby having a 10 minute session of hiccups, was overcome with emotions and started crying ha ha! DH was pissing himself at me! God dam hormones! Grin I must admit it was one of those moments that hit home and made it all feel so real and that the baba is not so far away now.

Pucca those pics have got to be the best I've ever seen on 3d, so clear you could see every little detail, bet your well chuffed! Wink

33 weeks today and counting Grin

lunavix · 19/06/2006 20:16

Hi everyone!

olivo - I was given eyedrops (hay crom??) for my hayfever which apparently are safe, plus I went and got a homeopathic remedy from a health food shop (pollena, from the makers of teetha which is fab for teething babies) and I'm -just- coping with the mix. I'm taking the eyedrops four times a day, then the pollena three times a day, not entirely sure about homeopathic stuff, I think it's a bit of a placebo but hey I'm happy just to wonder if it's working! The doctor said there's a nasal spray that's safe so tomorrow I'll be going back for one of those and more eyedrops... I have to sleep with a wet flannel on my eyes else I can't sleep for itching though :( It's horrid isn't it. I was given loratadine at a chemist, who said it was safe, and found out it's linked to 'penis retardation!' needless to say haven't taken any!!!

eeny - glad it's not just me! We went to great yarmouth, it was nice as a few degrees cooler than where we live, plus slightly less hayfever (sea breeze??) however don't know if i'd do it again, a mix of being 31 weeks pg, and an enthusiastic toddler (ds is just 2) and I was knackered all the time...

olivo · 19/06/2006 20:29

hi luna - i was prescribed the beconase nasal spray so i'm going to try that for a few days and then if it doesnt work, might try some homeopathic. using the opticrom eyedrops too and dh went out and bought me an ioniser -willing to try anything as am sooooo stuffed up!! also, thought my breathlessness was normal for pg, but apprently, need to start taking my asthma inhalers again.

just finished clearing out the little room - dh starting painting this week - i'm getting excited now!baby jumping around as i type - must be the kit kat i had for pudding Wink

lunavix · 19/06/2006 20:34

If you are really suffering I'd use it all in conjunction - the selling point of homeopathic stuff is that you can take it with any other medicine! Having said that it's rather costly lol but I'd give anything to stop itching!!!!!!

My local health food person has a balm too, that you put just under your nostrils which apparently helps stop the itching. She reckons it's fab, but I was a bit concerend at the 'frankinsence' and 'lavender' scents (there is also an original too thoguh) as just the thought of lavender makes me sneeze!

YellowFeathers · 20/06/2006 10:57

Hi everyone.

Well I think I must say my goodbyes now Sad
Tomorrow is the big day and I'm not so sure we will end up getting internet connection until christmas!
If we don't I will promise to find a local internet cafe and post birth details or try and keep in touch before.

This ante-natal club has been a big life line for me since it started and you've all given me some great advice and laughs Grin

I wish you all the very very best for these last few weeks and for the birth of your lovely lovely babies.
Your all a fantastic bunch of people and I will miss you all very much.

Lots of love

eenywifemum · 20/06/2006 12:32

oh I am Sad yellow is gone!! I hope she can pop on soon and say hi & let us know how she is!

muminaquandary · 20/06/2006 12:52

Good luck yellow!!

Can't remember who it was on here who was wondering about -ve blood types & having an Anti-D - we have finally g ot restults back from lab & DH is also -ve so won't have to have a pointless Anti-D injection as a result! Hurrah! Had so mnay needles stuck in me last time that the less the better this time ....

eenywifemum · 20/06/2006 13:15

muminaq - that was me and Sal. I am really happy for you that you got those results!! We are still waiting for ours - the GP seems to have lost them but we will find out today or tomorrow if Sal needs to get ANOTHER blood test. grrr You are in the UK arent you? Did you get hassle from your GP when you wanted to find out your DH's blood type?

eenywifemum · 20/06/2006 13:17

Hi!

Sal and I are going to a dedication ceremony (like a christening) for a baby we really care about. Any ideas for a good gift for him? Am going to post about this somewhere else on MN too but I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Salamander · 20/06/2006 13:27

Hi There - well i've phoned the GPs and they are closed for training so we will have to wait until tomorrow to find out what THEY found out!!!

Am I Rhesus Negative - Am I Rhesus Positive???

Sad I want to know!

muminaquandary · 20/06/2006 13:29

yes in the Uk & they were fine about it - I said that the m/w's at the ante-natal had suggested it - only prob was it took 5 days instead of the promised 24 hours but still pleased it was done in time (would have been too late for Anti D otherwise)

muminaquandary · 20/06/2006 13:31

presents we got for DS at christening which were really appreciated:

  • complete works of Shakespeare
  • tree dedicated and planted
  • Children's bible (whether religious or not always nice to have one in the house)
eenywifemum · 20/06/2006 13:32

muminaq - you are lucky. we have had a nightmare even getting them to agree to test Sal. And now they have lost his results. The whole thing is a shambles. But I am glad for you that it's worked out so well!

Salamander · 20/06/2006 13:34

MumInAQ
Glad you had no hassle.
That IS of course how it's SUPPOSED to be.
I work for the NHS and I've read the guidelines.
it is meant to be discussed openly and freely with the parents-to-be.

Mine was a fair hassle - they don't want to test the dads in many places. They are suspicious of people knowing too much (about themselves!)

olivo · 20/06/2006 15:00

Sal, i was told that sometimes they don't want to test the 'dad' in case he isnt really the 'dad' Grin.
i guess one or two people have got into trouble over this!!

Salamander · 20/06/2006 16:23

That's what i've heard too Olivo.

The thing is though, it should be elective and if there is even a suspicion with the couple that he might not be the dad, then don't have the test.

I just appreciate some GPs copping an attitude with patients about anything, least of all parents-to-be who obviously want the best.

NICE (The NHS Clinical Excellence body) advise giving the choice AND a blood test is cheaper than one Anti-D injection, let alone a course!
