think it's part 5 anyway!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Salamander · 22/06/2006 13:16

Olivo - i'm sure Eeny would confirm what Booby said
That sounds right.

BigHotMama · 22/06/2006 13:57

Poor Sal, the way its going you'll end up with no blood left! How frustrating for you? I had to go and have my bloods re-done as they only took enough for the transfusion first time round - cheek! I never even knew they took our blood for transfusions? Its apparently if we lose a lot of blood during labour and need filling up!??

olivo · 22/06/2006 13:59

thanks Booby / Sal - wasnt sure if they were both 'safe' but it'll hopefully stop me puffing and panting and heavy breathing! one of my students (one of just 2 boys in the child development group!) just told the class ' Miss breathes really heavily'! cheers for that!

olivo · 22/06/2006 13:59

Sal, i had to have a second lot of bloods done too - and she left a big bruise

Salamander · 22/06/2006 14:11

Thanks all for your concerns

I am told that the 'normal' phlebotomist is in this week - whatever that means!

Arabica · 22/06/2006 14:20

Olivo, your preventer inhaler (brown) is safe to use in pregnancyif you're getting wheezy you should get immediate advice (try NHS direct or Asthma UK if there isn't an asthma nurse/GP who can help) on how much to increase the dose, as the drugs take time to build up in your system and you might need other drugs to help you in the meantime. On the other hand you might be a bit breathless just because you are carrying a big bump aroundI am, but it's not like an asthma wheeze, more like an old fat lady wheeze!
Hi to everyone else.
On an entirely different note, I am definitely having horny hormonal feelings about my (young, attractive, would be horrified if he knew) painter. Phwooar! I even had an erotic dream about having a 3-some with him and the other builder. I looked like Kate Moss in it though, rather than an overstuffed sofa.

Salamander · 22/06/2006 14:24

LOL Arabica!!!!!!

You should tell him!!!

olivo · 22/06/2006 14:33

Arabica!

is my blue inhaler safe to use as well? will start my brown one tonight. i knew some breathlessness was normal but doctor said i have a bit of a wheeze too. think its the hay fever or it might be cos we're clearing out the house and I'm allergic to dust!!

olivo · 22/06/2006 14:36

word of the week - 'phlebotomist'

what does it mean?

eenywifemum · 22/06/2006 14:45

Olivo - it is totally safe to take your brown inhaler morning and night! I see a specialist asthma nurse and she said it was actually better to do it that way as it is not harmful at all whereas being breathless could be. So go for it! I take mine every day.

olivo · 22/06/2006 14:51

thanks
had wondered if which could be more harm - fortunately, my asthma is only very mild but i do feel it a bit, partiularly at night!

dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 14:52

arabica same here about any one in particular must say go on my girl

and this is for sal and all the other dp'h's have you put any weight on since eeny got pregnant at all ?

eenywifemum · 22/06/2006 14:57

Hi again!! Just got back from having my hair done.... {grin] I LOVE IT!! It's A LOT shorter... it was past my bra strap and now it is just touching my shoulders (lovely in this hot weather) and I had it coloured as well. (With foils so it didnt touch my scalp, Sal my love) It's 2 colors, a dark red and a dark brunette sort of mixed in together. And I finally got some concealer for my awful under eye circles (yes baby is already keeping me up all night as are most of yours!) so I am feeling like a reasonably attractive human being at the moment!

Arabica your dream had me in stitches!! That's awesome! You should send him an anonymous letter or something telling him about it

BHM - I have never heard of that transfusion thing!!! How much did they take??

PinkTulips - Ask Sal I have bad dreams about him all the time and when I wake up I am in a right old mood with him and he has to be extra nice to me - even though he never actually did anything wrong!! They've been worse since I've been pregnant too, poor guy.

Booby I'd wear sandals !

dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 15:03

eeny was supposed to be in at hairdressers next friday for full pamper [remember i used to be a hairdresser] and ive not had my hair coloured since i got pregnant and coz i cant get my ma ive got to get one of my mates to cut my hair my mum to paint my toenails and scrub my feet and shave my legs i'll have to get my tan naturally and to top it all off dont know now whether to colour my hair as i quite like my natural hair colour so dont know whether to wash in wash out
or go semi or go for it and colour it with a multi tonal kit
as ends of my hair are very copper and my hair is dark brown
help eeny

Salamander · 22/06/2006 15:13

eeny - HI - Can't wait to see the hair!!!!!!!!!

booby - yes i have put weight on - i like to think it will vanish at the same rate as eeny's come alex's pop day

and yes a phlebotomist is a vampire

Salamander · 22/06/2006 15:15

oh and I woke up one morning and Eeny was holding me by my ankles out of the bedroom window because of how horrible I was to her in her dream

eenywifemum · 22/06/2006 15:21

Booby if you like your natural hair colour then I would keep it as its easier and cheaper! But if you fancy a change then go for it! My hair was that same sort of dark brown/coppery color before today - thats really my natural color.
Sorry thats probably not much help!

And Sal is right about the window incident

purpleturtle · 22/06/2006 15:21

I've just booked myself a pedicure for tomorrow afternoon. The last lot of nail varnish is distinctly chipped, and I just can't reach to do anything about it, so somebody else can.

eenywifemum · 22/06/2006 15:25

well done purpleturtle! I saw this 'birth in pictures' in P&B magazine and the woman had perfectly groomed & painted toenails and I was like 'How did she do that?' Then I remembered pedicures!

purpleturtle · 22/06/2006 15:28

I think it may be a new-found addiction. Even when I'm not pregnant I rarely give my feet any attention, and now that I've decided it's not scary, but actually quite nice, I think I'll stick with it.

Dh muttered something about how he's not allowed to have an England shirt (cos I said he didn't need one), but I get to have a pedicure, and I asked him if he'd like to cut my toenails. Pedicure now no problem!

Salamander · 22/06/2006 15:28

and where there are no pedicures
there are husbands....

Salamander · 22/06/2006 15:29

if they are prepared of course - Purple!

purpleturtle · 22/06/2006 15:30

Mine apparently considers feet to be a bridge too far!

dressedupnowheretogo · 22/06/2006 15:33

my dh would be sick and i look after mine he hates feet

he wont even use my hair removing cream on me to get rid of my hugely long hairy legs

Salamander · 22/06/2006 15:33

That is his right as a human being

however - i am quite keen on playing Salon (as Eeny will tell you, no doubt!)
