Hi Everyone,

preparingfor2: I wonder if you could ask your GP to request that they give you leg room because you are ata greater risk of deep vein thrombosis? (this is true for pg women). It might give the staff more incentive to upgrade you.

Other thought, if you show up early and speak to the head person at the desk nicely they may soften considerably.

It also may be worth phoning customer services more than once as everyone you speak to is bound to give you a slightly different answer.

Good luck... It is disappointing how uncaring they are. Maybe we should suggest to mums.net HQ that they try to do a deal with airlines?

Sheet counters: ah, so that is what you have been up to - loo roll! LOL! I am an even 7 but I am a straggler due on 26/8.

veg people: I have been looking at my overgrown organic veg. patch for weeks now. Errr....

foot in mouth count: this is still 1 but I am sure I will do something stupid again soon.

people in JSA hell: got a temp job next week, thank god. Yes you do wonder what planet they think they are on? It is hard enough getting interviews as a woman any way as people fear you might get pregnant one day... ! Everyone wants our children to pay for there pensions but no one wants to support us in having them....

  • goes to look at and take vitamins -
noodlekitkat · 16/03/2006 16:29

I am taking these:

www.mumsessentials.com/4mums.html

they are meant to have folic acid and omegas. I also take flax seed oil now and then.

I am doing this without medical direction however.

BigHotMama · 16/03/2006 16:31

Yeah new thread, thank god I could copy n paste my last message over as it took me nearly half hour lol...

Afternoon everyone, hope your all well.

I have totally gone off fish altogether so I'm probably lacking in omega oils at mo, what supplements are you taking Ruthlouise?

JayJay, I was a social smoker but packed in as soon as I found out I was pg. The only time I fancy one is when I get a whiff of cig smoke or if I'm in a pub having my '1' half pint of lager'n'lime. I've still got 3 cigs in a box in my drawer but have never even given it a thought. I am definately eating more to compensate for it tho and although I'd like to think I've given up for good even when bab is born, I know as soon as I go out drinking with my mates again after bab, the temptation will be too much to resist.

NBG I didnt know we had more blood tests at 24 weeks? Do you know what they're for?

1 week and counting for my scan x Grin
Who's first to have their scan then???

Nbg · 16/03/2006 16:33

Yeah they are repeats of what you had at booking in.

Morning ladies, hope your all feeling good!

Its so exciting the scans are starting from today, let us know how you get on Mojo!

I'm sure I felt some kicks last night, but they werent towards my belly sort of down towards my bits almost like kicking my bladder can that be possible does anyone know?? Felt very strange!

Loving my new nicknames at work - Fatty or Swell Mel lol! Blush

Boopert · 17/03/2006 11:05

That sounds about right BHM. Been getting that for a while. Now alternates between bellybutton kicks and bladder kicks....

MissChief · 17/03/2006 11:08

good luck ladies, this was me in August last year, how time flies indeed, I've now got a gorgeous 7 mth old! Summer (seems far away now) lovely time to have a new-born, just hope it's not too hot for your labours though!

ruthlouise · 17/03/2006 11:12

Hi everyone,

I'm taking vitabiotics pregnacare tablets and equazen mumomega tablets. The pregnacare tablets are more of a habit - I do have a good diet (although not enough oily fish) so probably don't really need them but the omega 3 & 6 stuff has had a lot of recent publicity about health benefits so I'm quite an advocate of those.
The mumsessentials you're taking Noodlekitkat look good value as you're effectively getting the two in one. i buy mine online and look out for 3 for 2 special offers but they still cost a fortune!
Noodlekitkat - How do you take flax seed oil? Is that for fatty acids? do u use it in cooking? I'm not very adventurous with oils and only use olive oil.

Hi
I'm glad everyones finding us.

My pc wasn't enjoying the other thread very much.

Dh dropped a bombshell on me last night.
He has now decided, just over a week away, that he doesn't want to find out the sex of the baby Angry
Am totally gutted. I really want to know!
Atm I'm trying to persuade him to go out of the room whilst the sonographer tells me but he dosn't think that will work.
I feel like stamping my feet and having a tantrum about it.

Must have a look at these supplements your all taking. The mumomega ones seem to be more popular.

Good luck with the scan tomorrow Mojomummy Smile
