Oh yeah, and from 12 weeks it will be interesting to see if any of us crave milk or cheese, we need to up our calcium intake according to the books.

If mozzarella counts, then I've been craving it - but only with tomatoes. And basil. Drizzled in olive oil. Grin

Glad I amused you Shelly.

I've been craving dairy for quite a while. Big fruity milkshakes are popular at the moment. It's something I was forcing anyway as my dad's mum lost most of her teeth and had brittle bones after my dad was born.

TheDetective · 28/04/2012 19:15

I worry for my teeth Waiting I had to have a tooth removed 2 years ago, not because it was beyond saving, but because I was in so much pain. I lost the plot when admitted to hospital with it, and was bashing my head on a glass window trying to cope with the pain! Ended up on very strong IV pain relief as well as injections in my mouth. Had a GA after 2 days to have it out. Not something I want repeating!

Two pregnancies with hyperemesis is definitely going to take its toll on my gnashers. All those acid attacks :( I'm trying to keep them in as good a condition as possible, as I don't want any more toothache, and I don't want to lose another!!!

I'm going mental looking at hiring a doppler. Please talk me out of it, I know it won't make any difference but I'm just so worried about having to wait another two weeks for my scan. It's great that the nausea and sore boobs are better but at least when I had them it was a good sign that everything was okay. I'm wishing I hadn't rearranged my scan from yesterday as if I had been able to have it I would have been able to tell people at work the news. As it is I'm going to have to keep worrying and try to hide my bump for another two weeks. Grrr.

Is your DP away for the full 2 weeks Stunt? Why don't you arrange a private scan for as soon as he is back?

If you want a doppler, go for it. But a midwife couldn't get my baby and I was 12+4. It might cause you far more worry xxx

stuntnun I love my Doppler, it didn't make me stress when I couldn't initially find the heart beat as I just thought it was too early, but then with a bit more youtube video watching I learnt where I should be looking and found it on my second go now I find it quite easily each time (first found it at 10+3 and am now 11+3). I got the angel sounds one.
But, only do it if you know you won't worry if you can't find the heartbeat!

I would get nothing done if I had a doppler - much like if I had a willie

I've rediscovered nesquik (chocolate flavour) since Wednesday - didn't realise that could be the next 'craving'... I'm still on protein (mainly chicken) & started on proper oranges in Wednesday too. Usually I hate them, too much faff etc (same as with tacos etc) but at the moment, they're all I want as far as fruit is concerned!!!

Anyone else watching (and crying at) Sextuplets - The little lambs on ITV2 at the moment?

Detective he was only away for one day yesterday but apparently the hospital only have the clinic on Fridays and they aren't having one on Friday the 4th of May because of the bank holiday the next Monday the lazy skiving gits.

stuntnun I have hired a doppler and it arrived today. Not tried it yet but I'll let you know how I get on. It only cost £10 for a month so if I can't figure it out then I haven't lost much.

Went in town with DP this afternoon and got a couple of things from Baby Gap. A cute little monkey hat and a cream pramsuit with hood and bunny ears. So cute Smile Oh and they were in the 30% off sale.

I've got a similar problem with my anomoly scan, there are only 2 days a week I am allowed to go on apparently, and due to all the bank hols in June, and all the valentines shagging, I have to wait til 20+5, when I could of had it bang on 18 weeks :(

I have GOT to start eating well. I am pretty sure that the reason I feel so sick is my diet of fizzy drinks and carbs!!! I force an apple down now and then but I just don't fancy anything. I'm lucky I'm pregnant as people are already making comments about the gasses I am am expelling! I am managing to pass it off as pregnancy related.
I would love to be able to cook again and enjoy anything other than dairylea on toast!! What on earth are these babies going to come out like with a diet like that??

ValiumQueen · 29/04/2012 06:20

The babies will come out fine, because they will strip all the goodness ans leave us with nowt - how will WE be after all this is the real question! Grin

Apple that sounds wonderful. I was looking at hiring a doppler on eBay but chickened out.

Detective it certainly seems that February was a popular time. Was the weather particularly bad or maybe there wasn't much on TV around then!?

Gosh I can't believe this thread is almost full!

My diet has been shocking thus far, although I have been forcing myself to eat fruit and vegetables on an attempt to make my bowel work, constipation is becoming a nightmare. It bloody hurts Envy

I have admit ours was an-almost-March conception since starting TTC in my December cycle. I would have been looking at an Oct baby if it had stuck... :( Happy to still be pregnant at this point, even if it means the whole world is due in Nov.

And now the thread is full! I have a friend who is pregnant, due in 2 weeks, and she had offered me the chance to use her doppler. I haven't decided whether or not to take her up on her offer yet.
