Sorry in advance but I'm going to have a bit of a rant...

Last week I was supposed to have my booking in midwife appointment. This was cancelled that morning as the midwife was off. They said she'd ring the next day to rearrange. Fair enough.
This Tuesday, 4 days later they ring to rearrange. The midwife is still off so the other midwives are covering her appointments.

We Rearranged for 1pm today. This is ok as I get paid for antenatal appointments, although as I work flexi time I end up getting fewer hours than I would normally work on a Thursday.

I left work at 12:44 and was home for 12:52. Just enough time to run a cloth round the kitchen. However, SHE HASN'T BLOODY TURNED UP!!!

I got a phonecall at 12:40 from a blocked number but as I was walking through work I couldn't answer it. No voicemail was left and no further phonecalls were received. AIBU to be pissed off?

I worked my arse off this morning to do a full days work in 4.5 hours. I hadn't had any lunch, was going to wait til after they'd left and didn't want to be eating when she arrived. I also wanted to go shopping for some fat pant jeans before picking DH up but that's gone out of the window. Grrr

Sorry for the rant how's everyone else?

Fatima that's terrible, If she couldn't make it and wouldn't leave a voice mail how about calling back?

Feeling like crap today so back in bed and my house is a bloody mess :( have belly ache, sore hips, head ache, sick :( not good and my dog just wants to jump all over me and bark at his toys, I wasn't impressed!
Only have 2 pairs jeans left that fit and my favorite ones are getting to tight!!!!!! Nooooooooo!!!! Didn't want to buy any maternity yet as its all just fat and no bump :( booo

All fine with scan thankfully, and just the one baby. I am a very grateful elderly mother! Lots of questions about why I wasn't having tests, but I remained firm. This was made more than clear at booking 3 weeks ago. My choice. Now measuring 13 weeks so gained 4 days. Due date 1st Nov, but as ELCS will be 1 week earlier all being well.

wow its nice to know alot of people are feeling some sort of movements aswel! means im not clinicly insane!....i know what you mean about pulling muscle sort of feeling i get it usually when im led on my right side and cough and it feels like a tug on my side and makes me wince a little!. god knows what that is!......

still no fucking scan letter..........if the postman doesnt bring it tomorrow im gonna shove his head through the letter box............its really pissing me off. im 12 weeks on saturday surely i should have it by now. had my booking in appointment last friday and they said they were going to push for it this week............CLEARLY NOT!!!.

I must be going mad. I'm sure it can't be real but I keep feeling a little 'thud' like a little twitch or flick in my tummy, where the fluttering feeling was. It's only when I sit down, so must be where something is resting on the top of my budding uterus as its too high up really at 10wks. I can't be any further along as I know when I ovulated, to a day to 2 obviously, but its a bit too early surely??!!!! Must be all in my head

Can you phone Jaylee? That's so annoying. Bad enough waiting for my scan, let alone the appointment letter!!

Er Jaylee it wont be your postmans fault thats for sure...great news Valium and Chunky a few of us have felt flutters I think kids these days are streets ahead ...lol

Maybe you are more tuned in to your bodies if it's not your first? Seems plausible to me.

Ooh I'm very jealous of all you lucky ladies feeling movements! I haven't felt anything but it's my first baby so have read that I won't feel anything til about 16 weeks. Can't wait!!

I was reading about all the vitamin c cravings, and I am exactly the same!! Can't get enough fresh orange juice and oranges sliced up. But I have to keep them on the fridge so they are cold, cut them up into small slices and I just suck the juice out. Very specific I know!

I seem to be craving fruit this week, last night at work I ate: 2 oranges (juice of!), 2 kiwis, handful of strawberries and handful of grapes. Plus had apple and 2 glasses fresh orange during the day. I usually live on crisps, choc and toast when im on nights!

i am loveing sunny delight atm but have changed to pure orange juice because sunny delight is so high in sugar!...

im going to ring tomorrow just to make sure it hasnt got lost....

yes i only feel little flutters when im sat down also. its such a lovely feeling.

More good news Valium that's great!

DH my scan is at 12.10. We've both taken the day as holiday from work. I haven't told work yet, and know I won't be able to concentrate in the afternoon no matter what the outcome of the scan is, so hopefully we'll go for a little celebratory lunch in the afternoon before finally heading over to DPs parents to tell them! So far only my best friend and her husband know, and we only told them because we went on holiday together earlier this month, and wanted them to know why I wasn't doing my fair share of lifting/pulling/working locks on our canal boat! Can't wait to tell people finally!

Great news after the scan - everything seems fine! The baby is the right size, we could see the heart beat and it did a little somersault for us . They couldn't see any reason why I had the bleed so must just be one of those things. I get to go again on Wednesday for my official scan. Can't wait to see the baby jiggle about again.

I know what you mean dh mines tomorrow (bites nails), Im going on my own aswell because its 3.10 bang on time to fetch the others from school. Dh has been with me for all other scans and births so I dont mind being a big brave girl...Ive got you lot havnt I ? and my phone.

I think I've got something way beyond baby brain. It's been pouring it down here, but today I just can't drive when the windscreen wipers are on full! It's just too distracting and I can't concentrate at all, what's all that about?

Also boobs still sore and nipples are killing me.

Even stranger, my normal pants fit me again bar the top button. Last week I couldn't even get my belly in, all I can think of is it must be all the fruit I've been eating and the crap that I haven't. Also haven't put ANY weight on at all, I'm exactly the same weight I was before this adventure I bet I double in size in the next trimester!
