Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

Nanny and Fish keep those legs crossed!! I'm happy for baby to come any time after the 27th. I can't believe it's Christmas tomorrow. Dd is bathed and wearing the new pyjamas one of santas helpers dropped off whilst she was in the bath. She is shattered so hopefully she will sleep well and we can get all the presents out and an early night ourselves. Hope everyone is having a lovely Christmas eve evening.

supadupaturkeystupor · 24/12/2011 18:27

MERRY CHRISTMAS LADIES. Have a smashing day Xmas Grin xxxxxxxx

Oeisha · 24/12/2011 18:29

EEEK!
nanny keep them legs shut tight.
fish yup, stay horizontal
Done some mega tidying today. I fell I've earned a day of PIL indulging my every whim insisting I do nothing.

In case I don't make it on tomorrow...

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

Oeisha · 24/12/2011 18:30

Oh grr....didn't mean to leave it there, but ah well, will go make dinner.

SantaSHO · 24/12/2011 18:50

Legs crossed and stay horizontal. Hopefully we can get through tommorrow with out a Christmas baby. Fx.
Throughout this pregnancy Iv had many a dream about being in labour tommorrow so hopefully they won't come true.

Iv just woke up on the couch feeling dreadful and with a bum imbedded in my ribs. Ouchy. Needless to say we've not even started on dinner yet so anychance of getting dd down for an early night are now scunnered.

Merry Christmas everyone!

GiraffeAHolic · 24/12/2011 19:26

Have a great Christmas ladies Grin

Dd got a delivery of pjs while she was in the bath too Wink

Am crossing legs for the next 30 hours at least, few contractions in the night last night and bit of blood tonight. I am ignoring.

Right haven't wrapped any presents yet, best get started Smile

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 24/12/2011 21:48

I've just been to my MW appt at the MW birth centre and I officially LOVE the place! I was trying not to get too attached to the idea just in case but I loved the MW and all the birth rooms and it was ACE! (of course, there were no scary giving birth women to freak me out Grin)

Also my BP was lower than it has read for the whole pregnancy (giving up work and the hypno tape has obviously worked for me) and the baby is now 2/5 engaged (3/5 palpable) and also apparently quite a good size Grin and measuring 39 weeks if you consider that it's engaged.

Best visit ever!!!

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 24/12/2011 22:13

Oh and of course HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Mulledbee · 25/12/2011 00:07

Maybe this is cheating as I've not had my one sleep yet but...

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Xmas Smile

Oeisha · 25/12/2011 01:00

MERRY XMAS SUPER-MUMMIES!

Looks like I'm seeing in Xmas with a headache, indigestion (Gaviscon had even failed me), wriggly baby and snoring DH. Didn't nap "today" either in the hope I'd solidly sleep. At least my neighbour stopped throwing furniture at the walls about an hour ago (they do this regularly, WTF???)
I imgaine I am green, with a slightly furry face and an evil grin - part pain, part homicidal thoughts and partly just wanting to cry my eyes out... Maybe something like this. Xmas Biscuit

I'm sure I'll feel better once the paracetamol's kicked in.

ghost Good news on the MW apt/visit.

Oh gods, now to think of something to do until I dare try and sleep again.

addictediam · 25/12/2011 05:30

Merry Christmas!

I'm led here wide awake waiting for dd and dh to get up. Meat is in the oven and slow cooker, cam corder is on charge, I just want dd to wake up now so she can open her presents!

Ghost glad to hear you liked the place, thats always a start.

Oeisha sorry about your ongoing head ache, really hpoe the paracetomal kick in soon.

Fish stay horizontal, there is nothing worse than a Christmas day birthday. My cousin is born on christmas day and at 2pm after dinner, all christmas presents get taken upstairs and put away and it turns into her birthday, its not so fun for her or her brothers and sisters :(

Dh woke me up at 1am this morning, apparently I was moaning in my sleep, I woke up having the worst contraction i have had so far! I thought I was going to end up with an impromptu home birth! Luckly haven't had anymore strong ones since, just hb type things.

Gah, I can't believe they are all still asleep! I feel like i child, i want to jump on the bed shouting wake up, wake up! I'm such a child when it comes to christmas! Xmas Grin

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 25/12/2011 07:30

Morning all - Merry Christmas. DH is slightly in bad books as he forgot to disable his 'work' alarm, so i got woken at 6am having only gone to bed well after midnight. He, of course, went straight back to sleep, I heaved my belly about a bit, tried to get comfortable, then gave up and went ot the loo. Oh well, I now get to sit and enjoy some peace and quiet, gazing at the tree and a flickering church candle and thinking about how this is my last ever Christmas as not-a-mummy. Weird thought.

So pleased to hear you liked the MW unit Ghost and even more pleased about the BP. Has it had any beneficial effects or just something that shows up on the monitors?

Hope you manage to hang on till tomorrow, addicted and Giraffe, but if not then pleeeeeeeeease pop on and let us know.

And, in a non-baby vein for once: what are you all having for xmas brekkie? I bought bag of frozen croissant which you cook yourself, plus we have coco pops. I am ignorig nutrition and enjoying a light, easy meal before the madness of 9 people for xmas lunch!!!

Hee hee, just thought, my sis had better enjoy her last xmas as baby of the entire family (aged 24)!

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 25/12/2011 08:01

Morning ladies! Happy christmas!

Oeisha, I hope the festivities distract you a bit - just remember that it's your day too so take a midday nap if you can, it'll make you feel worlds better.

Addicted cross those legs!!! Though MW told me that the first Christmas baby at the centre gets loads of freebies, hadn't thought about that Xmas Grin.

Cakes we'll be having fruit salad and croissants with PILs this morning, though I suspect I'll formally break my fast with some chocolate.

DH has decided to let me sleep a bit as his family are early risers, and anyway his sister isn't here yet so we can't start until she arrives. But secretly I'm awake am excited and waiting for him to come back up so we can do stockings. Might send him a text Xmas Grin. Christmas is a bit dominated by his family traditions this year; we may need to rethink a bit when we have a baby to plan Christmas for as I'm rather fond of some of my own traditions!!!

Xmas Smile merry Christmas all Xmas Smile

addictediam · 25/12/2011 09:13

Ghost last year (dds first Christmas) was when Christmas changed for us, dhs family arent big celebrators (mil says all her children are adults now so doesn't see the point, and dds too young to understand) and mine are. So Christmas' up until then had ben alternated. Now we spend christmas eve with my family, boxing day with dhs and christmas day is ours at home with lots of my family Christmas day traditions mixed with a few of dhs from when he was a child.

It works for us and avoids the christmas day arguments!

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 25/12/2011 09:22

Merry Christmas ladies Grin

Off to step-sisters about 10.30 Xmas is a bit odd in our house as OH doesn't celebrate Xmas - other than food as he is Sikh. We will have to make our own traditions once bubs arrives. At least there won't be too many arguments as we can have my traditions as he knows no different ! Grin

Oeisha · 25/12/2011 09:29

Morning all! (again)
I slept in bursts of about 2h, awake for an hour in the end. Super-tired.

Lord knows what Xmas is going to be like for us next year. SIL has a DS on the way in March and other set have a full house of kids already, so I suspect it's going to be very difficult for us all to get together (babies will be too young just to all fling together and let them fight it out like we used to.Might be scope for babies in with us, and older ones in a room together mind you...oh gods, that'll mean me and DH are on the sofabed again). Parents live about 5h away, one bro 4, and the other 2...so meh! It's my parents "turn" for Xmas day next year though.
PIL are easy to deal with. One BIL...and they're young'uns so no babies there yet.

Brekkie for me had involved a bowl of cheerios with a dose lactulose. I'll be lucky not to see it again as the indigestion is STILL bloody there.

Oh well, I suppose I'd better drag my carcass in the shower, de-stink and go to PIL for a nice, relaxing day!
Xmas Grin

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 25/12/2011 09:33

mmmmmmm - nap time already...

DeeOfTheNorthPole · 25/12/2011 13:40

MERRY CHRISTMAS LADIES!

Hope you all have a fab day and Santa has brought you some lovely pressies!

Brekkie for me was bacon butties, grapefruit juice and strong black coffee (I had to do without the coffee this year though).

Wormshuffler · 25/12/2011 19:50

Hope you are having a lovely christmas so far, you are all very quiet today! Although I did see on FB the Sho has got engaged!! Congratulations sho Thanks
I'm feeling very emotional an bursting into tears for the stupidest reasons today. I got all upset when DH opened his christmas preent, Coldplay concert tickets, because he said he guessed he was getting them. Silly old sod I am. At least I managed to get him one surprise............a professional window cleaning blade! Xmas Grin
I was also in a mood because I really love getting pissed tipsy while cooking the dinner and couldn't. I know a baby is worth it and felt like a brat for even thinking it. Then that made me cry!

On the baby front I am getting so breathless, if it continues I will be taking myself off to the GP on tuesday. I stupidly googled it and it came up that I could have blood clots on my lungs................ cue more irrational crying!!

What are you all up to? My DC's are all playing on the ps3 and DH is slumped in a drunken state watching them.

Mum2be79 · 25/12/2011 19:56

PIL have just left. Parents here for a few days. I am set to burst. DH has a stinking cold. I nearly murdered him with a giant fork over the cooking of the goose.

All happy in the 'A' household now.

No baby. Although am having words with DH tonight to 'do stuff' to make baby come. Had enough of the waddles and aches. Want this baby OUT!!!

Hope you all had a lovely Christmas Day!
xx

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 25/12/2011 19:58

I've had a nice day at step sisters Now we are home chilling. I've not been emotional today but did get a bit irritable earlier when the neighbours visitors had parked so that we couldn't park in our space and had to park miles away. They've moved now though so I'm calm again. Was a bit irrational about having to clamber down the muddy hill in the dark in labour or something! Grin

supadupaturkeystupor · 25/12/2011 20:41

hi guys Smile, had a smashing day here. in bed now resting and catching up.

as per usual i was in tears at some of my gifts.
Some relatives have just left their home country very quickly (I don't want to go into it - everyone is ok) and brought very little with them........including the youngest daughter's old baby clothes (think delicate handmade lace chistening type items). they were wrapped and addressed to baby supa Xmas Shock Xmas Sad Xmas Blush and then Xmas Smile.
And the next gift was a homemade fruit cake complete with photo storyboard showing my DS (aged2) making it with his grandfather, packed up ready for decorating with a pink baby cake topper for baby's arrival. DS had a welcome cake which was the top tier of our wedding cake so they thought baby should have one too.

How bloody lucky am I?????????? I will never hear a bad word said about my fab PIL Xmas Grin

and DH bought me a colour analysis day with house of colour!!!!!! i'm so flippin' chuffed!!!!!!

in babyland i've been having HBs every 5mins every eve when i sit back on sofa Confused must be nearly ready.....

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 25/12/2011 20:52

What gorgeous thoughtful presents supa. Smile

supadupaturkeystupor · 25/12/2011 20:54

i know...i don't feel i deserve it!
but i tell you what, it's a great lesson to watch DH's family and how lovely they are to each other. that's the kind of family i want to build.....

oh crap, blubbing again Xmas Grin

Wormshuffler · 25/12/2011 21:06

Ah how lovely supa

Do any of you know what the policy is regarding returning items bought in the next sale? I am going there tomorrow morning first thing and as I am team yellow I don't know what colour to buy. I'm thinking about buying both and keeping the labels on and reciept ect and returning the ones which arn't suitable. Are sale items covered under the usual 28 day returns policy? I will be going anyway to get stuff for DC's/DH.
