Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

AW supa how lovely and thoughtful.

I had a nice chilled day. DD was a delight, she adored all of her gifts. She was spoiled rotten by everyone. I got a lighted cover for my kindle and DH bought me a bedroom telly (it's only little 19 in monitor but it's ace) and all the bits to set it up ariels, box controller thingy-bless him he remembered how bored i got stuck in bed post c section with DD breastfeeding and being unable to move much.

worm i have been incredibly breathless this last couple of days, and i keep getting pains in my legs so i was worried about blood clots too. I feel like i'm going to pop-this belly is huge and i can barely move so I think it's more than than anything else. I am also having regular hot flushes, I get so bloody warm i have been sitting by the conservatory doors with them open to the night air and sleeping with no covers, no clothes and the windows thrown open.

I just want this baby out now-dd is going to Mums tomorrow for 2 nights and we may have to do some " bedroom activities" to get things started.Thats going to be fun, incontinent, huge, breathless and totally unflexible. Not as much fun as getting him in there in the first place thats for sure! i don't care now xmas is out of the way I just want to meet my son. (gawd that sounds WEIRD!)

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 25/12/2011 21:11

You're brave worm Xmas Shock

I think it's the normal policy though.

Oeisha · 25/12/2011 23:59

Congrats sho!

What an ace family supa.

I hope we've all had good days.

I've had a good day. A huge amount of doing nithing in particular, but it's been good. FIL finally got to feel Abi bashing...and she's been doing an awful lot of it. 99 movements until 5pm today (measured 5pm-5pm)...managed 72 the day before. But then I did more the day before other than sit on the sofa staring at my navel...and I was awake for a lot of the night. And I otherwise feel fine.

She can't win, poor thing. If she doesn't wiggle, I think something's not right, if she does, I panic and think something's not right.

Indigestion's a bit better, but SHHHHHH!!!! I don't want to curse it.

Anyway, bed time for me, if she lets me...going bat-shit in there.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 26/12/2011 06:14

Morning ladies Grin hope we are all still present and correctWink

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 26/12/2011 06:28

worm - yup - total emotional meltdown for me from Xmas eve onwards.

First I get caught sobbing to myself in the shower for no reason, then getting ready yesterday I had a little cry, then halfway through a perfectly lovely xmas lunch, then on the sofa once everyone had gone home. Luckily DH is keeping his sense of humour about it because mine has gone walkabout completely.

Anyone else desperate to just have the fricking baby already?

Didn;t help that my feet and lower legs swelled up so badly yesterday I couldn;t flex my feet - had a fennel tea and lay down with legs literally above me on a beanbag and they'd still a bit swollen this morning. Good thing there's no sign of a headache or I'd be panicking. As it is, it's just something else likely to make me cry.

I feel sooo pregnant atm. Thank God DH and I just have a quiet day together today, I couldn't cope with guests.

Oh - and CONGRATULATIONS SHO!!!! You know we want the whole story, right?

Wormshuffler · 26/12/2011 06:57

Typical I woke up too late for the sale! its not worth going here if you are not in the queue when the doors open as it a fairly small branch.

I think litlle one must have moved in the night, I feel alot cumfy-er and less breathless. Actually totally full of beans! Long may this continue!

Don't worry about the swelling oeisha, it's par for the cause at this stage I'm afraid, my wedding ring has been off for a week now. Strangley though I don't remember swelling up with DS but did with DD. Maybe I am having a girl? The hormones were like this too with DD as well. In fact they were worse! I actually dear John-ed my DH when pregnant with her for no reason at all! Blush

Here is to a restful day Wine

addictediam · 26/12/2011 07:02

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 26/12/2011 09:00

monring girls,

shit i'm worried this morning. Baby hasn't moved at all today been awake 2 hours-he'd normally greet me on waking with a flurry of activity but he hasn't moved since last night. I have had a hot cuppa-nothing a cold glass of water nothing. i can feel a foot sticking out and normally he'd pull it back in if poked but he hasn't moved.

Supposed to be going to mums for lunch.

I'm phoning in. This isn't right-i'm probably panicking about nothing but this really doesn't feel good to me.

Mulledbee · 26/12/2011 09:27

As it's different from normal, you should get checked over Fish, hope all is ok. xx

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 26/12/2011 09:42

I thought i'd shower before phoning and that seemed to kick him off-he's moving now thank god. It was when I shoved his little foot and it didn't respond that really scared me. I just cried a bit with relief when he kicked. I reckon he was just sleeping off that xmas dinner and glass of wine I had last night.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 26/12/2011 09:44

Fish good call - anything that's not normal should be checked, but I'm sure bubs will start moving on your way in!

Worm yey that must mean baby has moved down a bit!

Cakes I'm sure hosting the holiday was a bit stressful and didn't help, but the emotional thing is par for the course now; shows you body is getting ready! Bring on the oxytocin, I say Grin

And congrats sho!!!

Re swelling - I finally got weighed and am indeed a fatty. I've been out of my rings for at least a month and have painful swollen hands and fat puffy feet, but as it's gradual and up and down depending on activity, it's just pregnancy related!

We had a fab day yesterday, ppm was crazy active (it's the first day I haven't been working/dashing about so probably noticed more) so it was like the baby was trying to join in! From now on I'm resolving to do a walk/swim/fitness DVD every day so you'd better ask me if I've done my daily exercise! Helps with positioning the baby I hear, though since baby is 2/5 engaged (YEY!!!) I guess we're sort of stuck on the right now.

Can you tell how great I feel? Helps that I had an unprecedented 9 hour sleep with only one loo break and no time lying awake. Glorious Smile

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 26/12/2011 09:48

Yey fish!! Xpost there but glad for you. Ppm hasn't really moved yet but spent yesterday going bonkers so must be tired. And I've only been awake for 45 mins Smile

[gives baby a quick prod] yep, there we go, a bit of a wriggle! Btw did you all know that other people can hear the baby's heartbeat through your belly? DH has been listening in for weeks. Not to be used as a medical diagnostic tool of course but it reassures me sometimes...

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 26/12/2011 09:59

I feel a bit stupid now for panicking everyone, but it was so different from normal. My instincts were just not happy-but hey one of those times i'm very glad to be wrong.

The other thing now is do I get excited because it means labour may be iminent :)

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 26/12/2011 10:07

Don't worry fish I've turned into a baby poking monster the last couple of days. Poor thing must be fed up with being poked awake. Blush

SantaSHO · 26/12/2011 10:15

What lovely presents supa
Glad your feeling movement now fish

Christmas can be an emotional day for anyone but its worse at this stage of pregnancy! Next year will be emotional for different reasons - namely chasing after a nearly 1yo Smile

Grin Thank you Ladies Grin
Dp goes through stages of talking/planning our engagement but normally finds a reason not to. I did suspect, but had learnt not to get my hopes up given his history.
Yesterday morning he was being extra nice, making me breakfast, being extra effectionate etc. After all the presents were open (he had gave me earrings to throw the scent off) Dd was giving me a medical(she got a doctor set) when he told me to close my eyes. When I opened them(with a toy thermomenter hanging out my mouth) he was on one knee with the ring in his hand.

Swelling my ankles have been swollen for a week or two now. I hadnt noticed my fingers getting bigger until yesterday as I lost my ring. My engagement ring is my usual size and is a bit tight.

Now christmas day is past with Im quite eager happy for baby to arrive. However im now loaded with the cold so would prefer to get rid of that first.

39weeks yestrday!!!!!! Shock

Hope everyone is well and relaxing x

Oeisha · 26/12/2011 10:39

Oh babies...why do they do this to us eh?! Any signs of your LOs not acting 'normal' and ring triage...it's not worth the hassle. Though fishy I'm glad he's finally booting.
I was worried about too much movement yesterday, but she's having a "quiet" day so far....or she might be. I actually slept very well (2 nights of sleep deprivation, not surprised). V glad DH insisted we come home from PILs...though I was all up for staying.

sho hehehe. That's both amazingly cute and fairly funny. Congrats again!
I told my DH within about 2 weeks of knowing him we would get married...and eventually (about 6 months) we just got fed up with talking about it (not all that seriously in all honesty) and decided we already felt married, so went and got a ring.

Xmas pt3 next weekend, when we get together with PIL, BIL&SIL so, well, I have to get past that before I can allow myself be all impatient and want ABi out I think...oh and working out what way Missyface is Thurs....don't want an EMCS...

Suppose I'd better go do something useful.

Mulledbee · 26/12/2011 12:18

Glad you felt movement Fish and congratulations Sho!

Supa, your day sounded lovely and a present of a colour consultation is wonderful!

We had a nice relaxing day, I made a beef Wellington for the first time ever and it was really lovely. We played a few games of scrabble and watched comedy shows on TV, so a traditional christmas. :)

We're now off for probably the last spontaneous beach trip before baby arrives. Hospital bag is in the back just in case and we should be in Bournemouth in 30 minutes!

Mulledbee · 26/12/2011 12:23

We've not heard from Nanny for a while - she was having intense HBs for a couple of days. I know she has other children though so Christmas is probably busy...

Hope you're well Nanny!

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 26/12/2011 17:46

right is it time to discuss methods of bringing on labour? I have had enough. Gonna try sex later :)

A friend swears by roasted peppers. Anyone got a recipe?

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 26/12/2011 17:49

www.justmommies.com/pregnancy/labor-and-childbirth/eggplant-parmesan-to-induce-labor

this looks very tasty with the added bonus of the possibilty of bringing on labour!

SlightlyStuffed · 26/12/2011 18:46

That's a lovely proposal Sho. Congratulations.

We had a lovely Xmas. Had PIL and SIL staying and they really helped make it a great time. I'm wrecked today and can hardly walk with the PGP.
The PIL are our babysitters for dd when the birth happens but they live over 2 hours away. DH was asking them to keep their overnight bag packed but they keep thinking I'll be able to give them a few days notice of the labour. If only my due date was 99% the actual date of birth like they think Grin

Good to hear everything is alright Fish
