Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

Still pensive. Tried doing stuff, not worked. Now have a headache with everso slight flashing lights and slight nausea. No sign of swelling or pains anywhere (other than Missyface hooving me). She's been a bit more active than usual, but marginal. Just very tired, despite having not done very much today.
If paracetamol doesn't work I'll ring triage, but they'll only want to see me and then I'll spend all bloody night in hospital to be told it's a migraine, go and relax. Why oh why can't my MWLU just take my BP I'll never know...anyway.
Might go lock myself in a dark room. If it gets better, it's a migraine.
I hope we all have a good night's sleep.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 23/12/2011 21:41

oeisha. Try and get some sleep.

SantaSHO · 23/12/2011 21:49

Hope a good sleep sorts you out oiesha

Iv heard about the dry shave prior to section. Ouch. I had a good trim about a month ago when I could still reach, between that and the cutting of the toe nails it was a long painful week. Think a seat on the edge of the bath with a well placed mirror will be needed.

We got unexpected visitors today. Was very exciting. [frgin] My BFF from high school is an Army wife so we dont get to see each other very often but their home for Christmas so it was great to have a proper face-to-face catch up.
Youv really got to love the holidays for bringing friends home! Xmas Grin

FrillyMilly · 23/12/2011 21:57

Oeisha I hope it's just a migraine from being. Sometimes hormones can cause them too cos I always get one when it's that time of the month.

I can barely reach my fanjo never mind shave it all off!! Plus how do you know when to do it (assuming spontaneous labour). I've barely the energy to get dressed never mind keep on top of fanjo hair maintenance. I'll just keep it trimmed. I think that's what I did last time and I had stitches which they managed to do ok.

MissRee · 23/12/2011 22:10

Hope you feel better soon Oeisha Sad

I'm about to go and see if that's a bear I hear in my bedroom or just a drunken, snoring DP Grin

Night all x

Mulledbee · 23/12/2011 22:43

Hope you feel better soon Oeisha

You've all slightly filled me with horror with all this talk of dry shaves. I'd heard rumours of this kind of thing but had a guess in the sand attitude. I'd better think about it though. :)

I went to the cinema to see the new Sherlock Holmes tonight. There were lots of explosion noises and I found myself fretting that they might be too noisy for Apple. A few rubs seemed to help though. It's a good film!

GiraffeAHolic · 23/12/2011 23:38

Has anyone ever heard of a baby actually pummelling it's own way out through the stomach (alien stylee)???

At 38+5 how can there possibly be that much room for movement?

I'm laying on my back propped up with pillows, with my feet elevated (major swelling issues) and baby is going absolutely lairy.

A foot keeps poking out on the left handside, i can feel the toes Shock while what I can only assume is a bottom is protruding on the right.

Freaky Grin

Mulledbee · 24/12/2011 00:19

That's so cool! I haven't been able to identify toes or any parts except for a bottom.

It's fun they're still so active. I do wish they'd stop with the straight down punches and kicks though, they're painful!

Wormshuffler · 24/12/2011 04:22

Morning Girls
How is the headache now oiesha I share your frustrations regarding the MLU not being able to do ANYTHING if you are in consultant led care. We have the same stupid system here.

The re-union with BFF sounds ace sho how is the snow up your way now?

I wasn't shaved at all when I was given both my EMCS although I am not especially hairy down there to be honest.
I did have a go at a tidy up using hair removal cream and ended up leaving the tiniest tuft it looked ridiculous. Think I will go for the whole lot off today. I am booked in for the 5th, but just in case I may as well do now and then keep on top of.

As you can see I am up at stupid oclock, been awake since 2am. That will teach me for having a Nan-nap at 5pm.

Happy christmas eve everyone Xmas Grin

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 24/12/2011 06:20

Happy Xmas Eve all :)

Made it to 5.30 this morning - feel rested had about 7 hours sleep.

FrillyMilly · 24/12/2011 07:38

Giraffe my baby is exactly the same. A bottom sticking out on the right and feet prodding the left. When I was in the bath the other day I could feel a foot sticking put and followed the leg all the way back to the bottom. He doesn't get his legs from me as I'm short!!

Managed to sleep 11-2 then 3-630. Think I will be having a snooze this afternoon. Got so much to do!! All bedding to be washed (tumble drier fixed), house cleaned, starter for tomorrow cooked and dessert for tomorrow baked. Then once DD is in bed need to get all her presents out and put a trampoline together.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 24/12/2011 08:07

Happy Christmas Eve!
Can't believe we've made it this far with only the multiple giving birth!
Fingers crossed we can all make it past Xmas without any drama Xmas Grin

Happy Christmas eve ladies! Wonder how kitty's getting on?

Was it just migraine oeisha? Sympathies! I've been pretty migraine free during the pregnancy but I know they worry about headaches for pre-eclampsia. I've kept quiet about the few I've had too Blush

Well, in laws have arrived! We don't really know what to do with them as they normally are here to fix up the house - they don't sleep much which brings DH's early life training back, so they've all been up for ages and are out having a walk around the lake. I on the other hand refuse to get up on principle and am languishing in bed even though I've been awake for ages too. Rest is almost as good as sleep Grin

PIL brought my marvellous handcrafted bed nest though and I can't stop staring at it! It's basically The Last Item Before Baby so it all feels very real now Grin

We did lots of cooking yesterday so today is a day for being indulgent and playing on the Wii (MIL likes archery!). We're off to a craft place in a couple of hours asSIL has secretly booked MIL to decorate a plate or whatever, should be fun!

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 24/12/2011 10:08

morning all,

Hows the head Oiesha?

giraffe and frilly I am getting feet out to the right-sometimes they are so strong. DH was laughing at my bump doing it's own thing just last night.

I cannot beleive we havn't had asingle premee baby on this thread witht there beig so many of us. How lucky we are-we obviously all make comfy wombs :)

My tens machine arrived today, that was the last item off the list. £14 off ebay with a new pack of electrodes.

Had a bit of a rough night. DD wet the bed for some unexplained reason-shes only ever wet it twice in the 24 months since she's been night dry. I do hope this isn't more of her continued regressive behaviour and just a one off-she is very excited about christmas though so i'm putting it down to that. Anyway DH and I got up to sort her out at 3am-she was still awake at 4.20am chatting and playing until I went in with a VERY stern word in her ear. I finally got to sleep again about 5am. Will be needing a snooze this aft methinks. DH is having a good long lie in today bless him, he's been working so damned hard looking after me, dd and the house.

Trying to decide what to do today, were totally done for xmas now and i'm not sure if can manage a day out but I'm also not sure if I can cope with another day with dd cooped up in the house, she is bouncing off the walls and we haven't been anywhere other than to the shops for 3 days. I want to get her out for a good run-like a puppy! We tried to take her to the park yesterday but the heavens opened just as we arrived. The local big garden centre has reigndeer and ice skating and a lit up riverside walk so i'm wondering about that-but it will be heaving with coach loads today. Really not sure I can cope.

well i expect the htread to be pretty quiet over the nex couple of days with everyone being so busy with rellies and things. I hope you all have a truly wonderfl christmas all. We'll save the babies til after now shall we? No suprise deliveries down our chimneys from MR Claus please.

SantaSHO · 24/12/2011 10:10

Merry Christmas eve ladies and bellies!!

giraffe dd used to stick her feet out all the time near the end. I loved it. Dispite the soreness. But dp was freaked out!

worm we've had no snow for a few weeks now. And fortunately its too warm(8degrees some days) for it to snow this week so that's one less worry.

Dp has decided to go for a walk around the shops! Hmm Christmas is all wrapped up and ready to go. I can think of better times to go window shopping!

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 24/12/2011 10:30

www.portablenorthpole.tv/

this is fab- a personalised message from Santa for your kiddlewinks. :) Only takes a few minutes.

supadupaturkeystupor · 24/12/2011 10:35

ahhhhh had a fabby night's sleep and am still in bed Smile

The toddler went downstairs to get his racing car first thing this morning and came back with mince pies Shock. He then fetched upstairs some chocolate coins not realising they were chocolate (his face was a picture Grin). I think the xmas stash of goodies has been found!!

DH has just made me poached eggs on toast and a cuppa in bed, and has toddler all ready to go for a run around the park so I can have a shower and a leisurely morning.

I have a bit of housework to do and a couple of gifts to wrap. The neighbours xmas cards need writing and delivering and then I'm off to a carol concert at the local church to get me in the mood for the big day.

The world is all lovely and warm and tingly today, long may it last!

I hope everyone is well........anyone heard from Oeisha or Kittie?

Oeisha · 24/12/2011 10:47

Morning all

Headache's much better now, still there, but much better.

I was thinking abotu kitty too. Hope they're ok.

Moobee I keep getting alien-style movements, especially if I'm on my back. If I'm right about her positioning it means being on my back means squishing her face into my bum, so can't blame the girl for going slightly mental. No obvious foot shapes, to me the "feet" I'm getting feels like heels...in my liver...botty onleft (ish - she crams herself into my right) but I'm going to be proved wrong Thursday no doubts!

worm it's not that they couldn't, it's because they won't at my MWLU. I;ve tried before, rang them saying my headache was a bit worse than usual before and they inisisted I went straight to triage, I explained about the antenatal migraines, and they sitll said I had to go there and wouldn't touch me. Tierht hat, or I get "you're not term yet, you have to go to triage". Triage had to fight with them to get them to take my BP that snowey Monday.

Right, time to make up for my "couldn't be arsed" mood yesterday and actually do some housework.

Mulledbee · 24/12/2011 13:00

Glad you're feeling better Oeisha.

Wow, can't believe it's Christmas eve already! All our family live far away from us so it's just the two of us this year. We're going to tidy the house today and start preparing some food for tomorrow this evening. Then lots of scrabble and board games! What has everyone else got planned?

Nanny01 · 24/12/2011 13:06

MOrning ladies. Finaly feel better today after2 days of rather intence braxton Hicks for the last 2 evenings. Sorry to hear Oeisha you have had some nasty Migraines. Glad to hear you are on the mend.

Are we all crossing our legs cause after the last 2 days I've been worried that my little bean was trying to make his way into this world. I just want to get through this week to my due date.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 24/12/2011 13:15

Keep your legs crossed tonight nanny ! We definitely don't want any appearances tonight Wink

I'm having a lazyish day OH is seeing his son today so I'm home alone. Have a friend coming round later but in the meantime log fire and old movie Grin

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 24/12/2011 16:47

ow ow ow braxtons are STRONG today. I am in total denial that this baby is coming in the next 48 hours. IT IS NOT HAPPENING.

As long as I stay horizontal they seem to be going away but as soon as I sit up they start again.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 24/12/2011 17:12

Keep horizontal there fish!!!

MissRee · 24/12/2011 17:23

Just popped on quickly to wish you all a merry Christmas Grin hope you all have a wonderful day x

Mulledbee · 24/12/2011 17:38

Nanny, cross your legs and Fish, stay horizontal!!
