Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

Ahh, parsley we're so close, and yet so far! Half day today, office closed next week, then 2 weeks back at work, then I'm done. Luckily my replacement starts on 3rd, so I intend to kick back and drink tea supervise her and not actually do much for those last 2 weeks! Although it's the lugging my enormo self on and off the tube that I'm dreading more than the actual work.

oeisha I'm with you on the stripping in shops - I was virtually down to my pants in Westfield last week it was so hot (obviously I wasn't actually down to my pants...)

missree hope you're feeling better soon. To be honest, Asda often has that effect on me when not pregnant/pre Christmas!

fish thanks for all that info!

Oeisha · 23/12/2011 10:35

missree miserable, but at least you can rest up and get rid...

Yummubunny Can't say I am, nooo...any new fabric conditioners/bodywasher recently? If it isn't gone fairly smartish ring MW, you never know!

fryn hehehe, I like the thought of a load of pg women stripping and semi-nakked supermarket shopping, of for no other reason than making all the young males that work in supermarkets blush! Maybe it's one we could run by Gok?

Crap, really should get in the shower now.

TTYL! xxx

GiraffeAHolic · 23/12/2011 10:42

Seeings as you asked yummybunny yes, yes I am Smile but mainly due to a fight with a bottle of red food colouring last night. Thank god I don't have MW appointment today as the bump is a nice rosy red colour Grin

FrillyMilly · 23/12/2011 10:49

I've been for my 36 week check and everything is fine. Still head down but not engaged. Is everyone's due date worked out by scan date or worked out by midwife? I've had 4 scans including two really early ones which all put me as due the 13th (which makes me 37 weeks today) but midwife worked it out as 17th and wouldn't go off the scans. I know it's not a big difference but induction here is done 41+5 - 42 weeks and it just worries that I could actually be over 42 weeks by then.

Non pregnancy related our tumble drier broke yeaterday. Something got wrapped around the filter, it stopped spinning and the belt snapped. When I'd just done 3 loads of washing!! Really wanted everything clean and away for Xmas. Got some friends coming for a take away tonight. Really looking forward to it. The men are going to fix the drier too.

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 23/12/2011 11:28

That's a bit miserable missree hopefully they gave you something for it? :(

Not red here either yummy but all the moisturising has given the bump lots of tiny little blocked pore type zits - which is nice...

fryn the travelling is the stressy bit of my day as well. I'm quite glad in one sense that I've had to bring my ML forward as going up to 20th was always just going to get harder & harder. The train is OK as long as there are no issues but I don't know how you cope with the tube. The crowds and heat would get to me I think.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 11:52

Am dreading this afternoon as DH and I are braving Sainsburys post 4pm to pick up the turkey and other bits we need - it's just off a big A road and it's going to be fucking mayhem... un;less we've double bluffed everyone else and they're all thinking the same thing and avoiding it

We would go earlier, but after my funny turn last week DH doesn;t want me going alone (fair enough) and he got informed by email yesterday that they couldn;t apply flexitime today and noone was allowed to leave until 4pm and if they did it would bee counted as a half day of annual leave - miserable fucking bunch of grinches.

Thanks guys, am going to snuggle up on the sofa and feel sorry for myself! Have got antibiotics to take so hopefully they will kick in soon!

Annoyingly tho, the antibiotics can't be taken with indigestion remedies and I've been suffering terribly with heartburn this last week Sad just have to suffer that I guess!

X

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 11:54

Oh, forgot to say, my heated airer arrived yesterday - dried a load of washing on it last night - I luvs it! Totally worth the money! It's also more space economic than I was expecting which is nice! I was dreading baby arriving before the heated airer!!!

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 11:56

MissRee - try mint or fennel tea for the indigestion? It does help a bit and is definitely better than nothing... Hope you feel better soon x

you never know cakes OH went this morning at 9 and said it was mayhem at Waitrose; no trolleys or car park spaces. I reckon most people will go early thinking that the shelves might empty.

fingers crossed Parsley... as long as the sheves aren't actually empty!!!

yummy - we've all been drooling over it - linky!

FrillyMilly · 23/12/2011 13:13

I prefer not to dry my clothes in the tumble drier if I can help it and when it went bust yesterday my first thought was 'ooo I could get a heated airer'. However the tumble drier is in the garage and the house seems to be quite damp especially now it's got colder and the windows aren't open much. There's always water on the sills and mould that I'm having to clean. Would a heated airer make that worse do you think?

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 13:20

I don't know - I suppose if you left it by a vented window it wouldn't be too bad. We have double glazing, but there is a slight draft by the french windows, so we dry the clothes there and it helps keep the drafts at bay and there doesn't seem to be any additional damp...

I don;t get this overheating pregnant woman thing - it's the warmest it's been for days and I'm sitting here in a wool sweater dress feeling all chilled and shivery - had to make a hot choccie to thaw out!

OP posts:
FrillyMilly · 23/12/2011 13:23

Silly pregnancy brain. I could just put it in the garage!! Oh I want one so much.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 13:35

As long as your garage isn't smelly then... yes :)

Hopefully the meds will kick in soon missree and youl be feeling mire yourself come Sunday.

Dp went to the huge Tesco next to his work straight from his nightshift at 630am, he said he struggled to get parked and it was mayhem. Good luck to anyone venturing out today!

I can no longer see my belly button. It's still there, I can feel it, its just gone out of site in the last few days.

My mw calculated edd and scan date are the same 01/01/12. But iv heard of lots of folk getting their dates changed if there is more than 3days difference. It might just be a health board rule but you should raise your concerns with the mw again.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 13:51

Sho - lucky you, my belly button is sticking itself out at me...

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 13:59

PS - who likes my FB warning shot across MiL's bows? Noone has touhed my bump w/o invitation recently, but I'm seeing her soon and I wanted to make sure she doesn't attempt it again

addictediam · 23/12/2011 14:03

We'll be venturing out in a moment for some last minute for some last minute forgotten bits (cream, binbags, bread etc) hoping its not too busy, it hasn't been all week so fingers crossed.

My bellybutton is also sticking out you can see it through my clothes, not nice!

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 23/12/2011 14:06

yummy you'd have to find somewhere away from you to put the airer otherwise it would just make you hotter!

GiraffeAHolic · 23/12/2011 14:08

I am Not braving the supermarket. I sent dh to work with a detailed shopping list. Be interesting to see what he appears with Xmas Hmm

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 23/12/2011 14:10

Giraffe - well I'm not braving sending Dh out shopping alone for the Xmas shop! lol
