Hope you don't mind the slight tweaking of the thread title :) I was feeling creative! Not that it matters, at this rate it won't last more than a week...!

spasms still coming-getting some in the front now too, thats a little bit more painful but nothing like the ones I had last time. They were vicious from the outset.

Been sitting on my ball, off to bed in a minute, see if I can get some sleep-i'm so tired after last night, so will be going off thread-will do my best to keep you all posted. May ring into triage first though.

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 19/12/2011 22:17

Hey fish, definitely try to sleep! If it's labour then you're better off going into it rested Smile

Hope you sleep well and look after yourself!

greenlady78 · 19/12/2011 22:21

fish hope you are able to have a restful night! Smile hugs xxx

frilly hope you can find out what the water was Smile

Sending everyone lots of hugs and positive energy, I can't wait to see the first little one out!!! And can't wait to see mine, too! Biscuit

GiraffeAHolic · 19/12/2011 22:53

Honestly ladies I go into a BSM breakdown at dh and don't check the thread and all helll breaks loose.

fish sounds promising for you, I would give the delivery suite a call though as you're officially still preterm, hope you manage to sleep.

addicted good luck to you too.

frilly you should probably get checked too, could just have been leftover wee - so to speak. Especially if you jumped off the loo quick.

The rest of you go to bed or at least sit quietly and don't move, this thread could end abruptly if everyone's baby's come at once Grin

knittiekitty · 19/12/2011 23:25

I'm off tomorrow morning for my induction and have spent the last few days frantically cleaning packing and wrapping. Off to bed at last and won't be able to log on for a few days as my mobile is ancient. Will catch up with everyone on the other side, best of luck ladies!!

Mulledbee · 19/12/2011 23:27

Good luck Knittykittie!!!

supadupaturkeystupour · 19/12/2011 23:37

all the best Kittie xxxxxxxxxxxx

Crosshair · 19/12/2011 23:47

Good luck to kitty and fish, hope everything goes well.

Sorry you're feeling low about your stretch marks cake :( Mine look pretty angry atm as Im sporting a nasty rash in them, I like to think Im working the attacked by a tiger look. Xmas Wink

Im very excited about Christmas and yummy Christmas food!

FrillyMilly · 20/12/2011 06:47

Good luck today Kitty

I don't seem to have been leaking anymore but I'm going to keep an eye on it. I'm so paranoid about this baby putting an appearance before Xmas.

addictediam · 20/12/2011 07:23

Morning, fish how are you?
Goodluck kitty
Doesn't Katy also have her induction today?

My tightenings eased off last night so I think my bump just got excited at the prospect of new babies! :o

Cakes I have new strechmarks appearing, and i already looked like a tiger from the bump down :( they do get better once your body has gone back to normal. But it is confidence destroying in the mean time. So secret, un mn ((hugs)) to you.

greenlady78 · 20/12/2011 07:26

kitty good luck today!!! Very exciting, we will be waiting for your next appear online with all the news Smile

fish how is it going???

frilly So that's good news, the little one is staying put till after Christmas dinner Grin

cakes don't be Sad I think it is hard to see how much we changed throughout these months, I'm convinced my nose tripled in size...and it was not a small nose to begin with...the strech marks made an appearance since the 2 or 3 month so now I'm used to them! But my DH is also less than great when taking pics, always when I just woke up, doing dishes, etc! So not as flattering as I would like!

Hugs! Waiting for a bit of sunlight to go out for a blood test, blah!

SantaSHO · 20/12/2011 07:29

Good luck today kitty x

Iv have a few new stretchmarks across the top of bump thanks to baby trying to squeeze its head out that way. Looks like a cat has been trying to get in at the baby!

Dp put a plank of wood under the mattress as some of the spars are broke. Im soo sore now that I can't get out of bed

FrillyMilly · 20/12/2011 07:36

If I don't get to enjoy the gingerbread house or chocolate brownies I'm making Xmas eve because my baby is too impatient I will cry. Smile

I thought I was being lucky on the stretchmark front then I noticed great big red marks all over my thighs. It's not fair, I don't think my thighs have even grown.

MakesXmasCakesWhenStressed · 20/12/2011 07:53

Thanks for the support all, it's actually the sheer size of me as much as the stretchmarks that had me down - I honestly didn;t think I looked that big in person, just pregnant, but no, turns out a small house has been waddling around with a MakesCakes skin on it like that weird bug thing from Men In Black

On the plus side I'm a bit more laid back about it after a full night's sleep - hallelujah. 10.30-7, almost unheard of these days.

Good luck to Kitty - dying to know how fish is doing. So excited about our first thread babies :) Only 2 more days and I'm full term

Also - does anyone know how one addresses a card to a vicar? Is it just Rev. X Smith ?

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 20/12/2011 07:53

Good luck today kittie Grin

I'm working from home today. Have 3 different appts. Got 34 wks with GP. Then GD nurse and consultant this afternoon. I'll be all health cared out by the end of the dayGrin

abeautifulbutterfly · 20/12/2011 07:57

How are you all this morning? Still with us fish and addicted?? Good luck to Kitty and Katy!

I would like to hang on until the beginning of Jan at least because school age is counted Jan to Dec here, so if I have LO at the end of Dec it would be like having an end-Aug. baby in the UK - she would be a whole year younger than some kids...
But my bump is still very high, bigger at the top than at the bottom, and I'm the type that's late for everything, so I should think the rest of you will all have preschoolers by the time mine makes an appearance Grin

Cakes I remember my despair at my stretchmarks in pg1, I know how you feel Sad. I have no new ones this time but I think that's because there's nowhere for them to fit in amongst the old ones (also I think this bump is smaller than my previous ones).

Take care girls!

rednosedreindeerhead · 20/12/2011 08:06

Good luck kitty!!!! How are you this morning fish?

GhosteditorOfChristmasPast · 20/12/2011 08:20

Good luck kitty!!!!

cakes don't believe the silly photos - I've seen you recently and we're the same size and I'm managing not to be too distressed. I've been very selective about the continuing existence of photos though - am quite alarmed by my chubby face and arms! Cheer up duck Grin

Frilly it's thighs for me too, but mine have def grown. No bump marks yet but some warning signs around my belly button and the sides of my bump. I've now switched to proper scar serum on my legs to get the skin healing [vain]. When I go swimming there's no hiding the tiger marks unless I invest in a Victorian swim suit!!!

Oeisha · 20/12/2011 08:23

Good luck kitty! EEEK! Grin

I think I noticed a thread from katy saying she had her pre-op Monday and her section Wed...

fish Hope you've rested well and are feeling good.

Just had to whack back some brekkie as I have a fairly viscious headache. Figured hardly eating a thing lastnight wasn't helping, so some Waitrose Multigrian Hoops (actually nicer than Cheerios) and a banana have gone down, with a little bit of an argument...so maybe someone was just kicking me in the tum lastnight.

Am off to curl up with a Gizzard and possibly a HWB as it's still quite chilly in the house. Hopefully after a small kip the headache will have gone.

DeeOfTheNorthPole · 20/12/2011 08:29

Good luck kitty!

Try not to worry about photos cakes although I have had a few "take it again DH, from that angle I look like a monster" type sessions (the angle...yeah right! Wink).

Also had a mad weepy sesh the other day when I found a picture of me on my 30th birthday. Started crying and saying "Look how thin I waaaaaassss.....mwaaaahhhhh" while waggling a bingo wing at DH while he tried his best not to piss himself laughing. To be fair seeing him trying to suppress the laughter did cheer me up as suddenly I could see how ridiculous I was being! Grin

DeeOfTheNorthPole · 20/12/2011 08:31

Also if any of you are bored i started a new thread about when you think the 'big day' might be....feel free to contribute should you feel so inclined! Grin

Oeisha · 20/12/2011 08:32

Oh, forgot addicted. How very bad of me! Hope all's ok with you too!

mulledfishandfrostedlilacs · 20/12/2011 09:36

morning

sorry to whip everyone into a frenzy last night-including myself. I rang triage, they reckon more likely to be tummy bug than labour.

I'm fine, i slept fine, had contractions when I got up for 2 wees in the night but they have all gone away now. Was ravenous this morning and breakfast appears to have stayed down.

Boo, hiss false alarm, nothing to report. :( Thanks for all the excitement and encouraging messages. I feel a bit silly now for thinking it was it.

Good luck Kitty-how exciting. First babies of the thread.

addicted hows you?

cakes enjoy your beautiful body and all it's changes. The way we look is all based in perception, youre making a baby, how amazing is that!

Hope the headache goes away oiesha

DH has had to take my car to work today-his wouldn't start. I'm annoyed because it was my plan to take a quiet mooch over to the farm shop and get most of the crimbo veggies. It also means I will have to hobble round to school later to pick up dd-it's not that far but it's been a bloody nightmare walking round there since the spd got bad again. I may have to ring around and see if anyone can bring her home for me.

JingleFryn · 20/12/2011 10:04

Morning everyone,

Goodness I missed some excitement last night! Glad everyone's ok, and looking forward to hearing Kitty's news.

Dee the bingo wings made me laugh - I caught sight of myself in the mirror last night and had to sit down to recover from the (literal) enormity of it all! cakes I maintain cameras add on several lbs/inches, so I'm currently avoiding at all costs. Oh, and yes, I think it is the Rev. X Smith for a vicar (although being RC we bypass all that for the easier Fr John!)

frilly might just be worth getting checked out, as I think I've read that once you lose amniotic fluid there's a risk of infection, although a friend lost her hind waters (her what??) about 4 weeks before the baby came, and they weren't at all concerned about that!

fish bummer about the car - any chance you could coax DH's into action? I find gentle words, followed swiftly by swearing and crying works on ours...

ParsleyandChestnutStuffingLion · 20/12/2011 10:18

Glad you're feeling a bit better fish though probably a bit disappointed at the same time. Wink

Back from GP appt. bubs has unengaged. Boo. Though not really an issue at 34 wks. Have a whole huge bag of prescription stuff. Sticks and needles for blood sugar tester, humongous box of fybogel as I can't lactulose any more, huge bottle of gaviscon ( peppermint - I asked for it and he gave it to me. Not sure whose GP told them they could only have aniseed Confused ) and some ointment for the pile - scheriproct. Never had such a big bag of stuff Shock told the pharmacist she should preprepare a pregnancy pack!
