Sorry for the new thread and crap name but i needed to start one oi how are you doing good luck xxx

I have fallen off the face of MN for a week or so and have loadsss to catch up on! I have been busy doing coursework and seriously nesting!!

PGP is awful, to the point of making me cry, finally got a pyshio app, but not for another 2 weeks :( doesnt seem much point. OH continues not to even attempt a massage if i ask and rolls his eyes.

Been having really bad shooting pains that take my breath away, but seems as though baby is head down (and very low) im guessing its a nerve he is on.

Very strange and TMI... but earlier (when i went to the toilet) i could feel what felt like the head bulging on the outside, through my lady garden lol... freaked me out!!

Good luck oi !! Fingers crossed

tye glad you took the sick advice!!

Oh, dear, kri5ty, that's not good news to come back with! Hopefully the "Final Countdown" for you will ease all these woes... Sad

sevensevenseven · 01/11/2011 23:03

kristy sorry you're still struggling, your OH needs a kick up the arse.

Just think oi could have had her baby the next time she comes on here!

kri5ty · 01/11/2011 23:06

Im sure it will Plu :) not long for any of us at all! On the plus side my vertigo has gone away woo hoo :o

Actually feeling pretty guilty i jumped in with the rubbish thread name... i was in a rush to post to oi !! :o

AwomancalledHorse · 02/11/2011 01:04

kri5ty, I sympathise with you and your awful PGP...although am a tad jealous that your MW got you a physio apt (even though it's almost useless), mine rolled her eyes and just said 'yeah, it happens to almost everyone'...suppose being practically flat-bound is to be expect?!
Hope you, PGP, shooting pains and singing lady garden are better soon, yay on vertigo going!!

If you text oi be sure to apologise for the thread title Wink

I guess I'm in for another night of no sleep, as Squatter seems to know when I've gotten comfortable then starts the nightly disco (a-la Tyres from Spaced, without the beats!), feeling guilty as DH keeps on waking up to ask how I am.
Washed and folded all the 0-3 months second hand clothes today, ran out of non-bio so the nappies will have to wait!

fusam · 02/11/2011 01:35

Thanks for the new thread kri5ty title is lovely! Sorry your OH is being crap. I hope he realises sooner rather than later that you will always remember how he treats you at your most vulnerable.

AWCH Team insomniacs! Can't sleep here either and feels like I have got a chest infection coming on. Damn it we need Oi to stream a live feed of updates to help pass the night on. I have a pile of washing baby clothes to wash to look at me accusingly from the corner of the room. I have spent the last few weeks being very lazy must admit hoping to get a burst of energy over the next week or two to sort out the last bits and bobs as well as Christmas.

AwomancalledHorse · 02/11/2011 01:47

fusam! Go team..I have a feeling we shall be in a similar situation for a good few years Grin
Boo to your impeding chest infection, just what you needed!
MIL asked me how I'm going to iron the baby clothes last weekend, iron baby clothes? She's talking crazy.
Hopefully you & I both have a 'nesting' burst of energy, I really need to clean the fridge but I cba.

Is it normal that the later you get into pregnancy...the odd-er the names you consider for LO? DH has spent most of this week rolling his eyes & saying 'No'. I've got no idea what he finds wrong with Apollo. Blush

fusam · 02/11/2011 02:13

If only I could use the time that I am wake at night to do something constructive.

Answer to your MIL "Well I thought you would do it for your precious GC and give my poor pregnant back a rest".

I like Apollo, it's the name of a potential future olympic star. pffft this naming thing has turned into a bit of a sore point in this household. I have declared that we can look at the baby on arrival and see what flavour of a name would suit her. Don't we have like 6 months to register the baby so it might be just baby until summer. Fool proof plan.

fusam · 02/11/2011 02:16

sorry about all the typos, as you can see my brain is actually really tired.

AwomancalledHorse · 02/11/2011 02:22

Grin DH doesn't like the idea of a LO without a name (a sore point in this household too!), so he wants it to be named from day one...personally I couldn't come up with a name for a house plant in a day and not regret it.

DH thinks Apollo Creed from Rocky when I suggest it, he also does not like the name Rocky. I (with my hippy drippy background) love 'out-there' names and would love LO to have a crazy middle name (and one normal one), this is another sore point. Gah! Who would've thought this child rearing stuff would've been so complicated??

What's more constructive than 2am(!!) MN-ing?? My excuse is DH is a light sleeper so I can't do anything more than tap on the keyboard!

BeeMyBaby · 02/11/2011 06:39

fusam yes, they give you 6 months aka 21 days to register the baby name.

Good luck Oi -maybe you have a baby by now!!!!!!!!! If so - whats the weight and the name?!

figgygal · 02/11/2011 07:21

Staking my claim on new thread still in bed as working from home this morning before my hospital ward tour this afternoon strangely looking forward to it. hope there's noone making too much noise will freak me out big time though I bet I'll be screaming like a banshee once I get going so no judgement.

Sorry to hear lots of overnight pain going on I was awake 4 times with really strong wrist pains ...,,,,bloody fluid retention. It's been in my left hand for months but now it's started in my right too and it hurts like absolute hell. They don't warn u about that do they !!!!

Cheeptrickortreat · 02/11/2011 07:22

I just wrote out a big post then son pressed buttons on laptop and its gone Sad

Any news on IO?

I had to put son to bed and then i fell asleep but son was up 5 times cos his eyes were hurting and got up at 5am as he wanted to come down stairs for eye drops Sad

I had some sleep but i still feel so tired, my hips hurt, my back hurts and i'm stressed with everything that i still need to do and DH not helping that much right now as he still ill Sad

OiMissus · 02/11/2011 07:24

Hi all, so tired! In hospital still. Contractions slowed/stopped. DH went home to rest at 4. They are content to watch me and let whatever happen. Will have a scan later. They're happy the baby is ok. Will try and rest a bit and keep you up to date with news. Yesterday eve they were monitoring me, was having regular 3min contractions, but I couldn't fell them. Tummy still very hard. X

Cheeptrickortreat · 02/11/2011 07:26

Blush sorry for depressing post - i'm not a morning person.

bennybenbear · 02/11/2011 07:28

Hi all, yonks since I posted (prob not since 2nd trimester!) but v longtime lurker of these threads! Am from same area as OI and Kri5ty so familiar to them. Am due 5th Dec.

Just wanted to say hope you're ok OI and I'm at the hospital on our tour tomorrow so if you're still there and need anything let me know!

Good luck! Hope everyone else is ok too. x

msbuggywinkle · 02/11/2011 07:44

Morning everyone!

oi glad to hear you're being looked after. Hope you have plenty to read so you don't get bored.

I'm trying very hard not to join the insomniacs, my problem is that I tend to go to sleep too early, then be awake in the night so I'm tired again by the time the DDs get up. Although DD1 is still asleep, she was saying she had tummy ache last night, so no idea if she'll be ok for her sleepover later!

DarciesmumandBump2 · 02/11/2011 07:48

Marking my place.

Oi Hope you get some rest.

Hope everyone else feels a little better today.
I slept well again :)

Getting ready for work and school runs. Roll on 25th Nov last day at work!

jomouse · 02/11/2011 07:51

Hello all
My god Oi, what fabulous news! Glad DP is with you and all looks good.
Very bloody scary though! Good luck with whatever happens

I am on mat leave but have been rushing around like a maniac. Had small melt down last night and mini panic attack. This needs to stop so am trying to book in some day of rest. Been feeling very sick and with pressure down there that feels bloody awful so need to relax for a bit.

Anyone else been feeling sick? Apparently it's fairly common.

Heading to hospital later as they want to talk to me about my notes. All very mysterious. Woman on phone reckons its because I am 36 and therefore higher risk. Didn't me mention it at all at any other time this whole 8 months....very odd.

Hope everyone else ok today : )

plupervert · 02/11/2011 07:53

Hello, there, bennybenbear. May I ask, is there something in the water of your area? Wink Three pregnant MNers at once?! Or did one of you recruit? Do chivvy OiMissus along for us, will you?

Re: the names, I must admit to already "having" a name, once I've raised with DH, but it didn't seem to say much to him at the time, so perhaps I can blurt it out when she arrives, and "stick" it to her!

Sorry DS had such a bad night, cheeptrick. Did he get to sleep in the end, or did you actually start your day at 5?

figgygal, you'll have to do your tour with earplugs in! Other mothers will be jealous of your serene demeanour, and you won't hear a thing about loo location and when to call for the birthing pool. Ideal tour!

On the subject of thread titles, it's shame the last thread didn't last longer, as I really have been feeling that I'm coming apart at the seams! Last night, I had white/wet pain right across the top of my bump: basically, my intercostal muscles (between the ribs) stre-etching! I may need to get my corset on, post-partum, to reshape my rib cage! T'would be good to have some help with my posture, too. Grin

Cheeptrickortreat · 02/11/2011 08:02

Good to hear from you IO - get some rest as you will need it, glad your being looked after Smile

Plupervert - we started our day at 5am, i'm suprised i mangaged to get the drops in his eyes and then had food and played with car untill 6.45 and then i put the TV on for him as he doesn't seem to want to do much! We have the health visitor over this afternoon to do his 2 year assessment but i dont know wheather to call her and let her know he is ill or just let her turn up and do assessment as son will be 3 in Feb?

mopsytop · 02/11/2011 08:08

Glad you're okay Oi - exciting!
Not cool of your DH Kri5ty :(
How rubbish of your mw AWCH - yes, lots of women get PGP, but equally, physio really helps! It's not a reason not to refer you. You can just go to your GP and get them to refer you, you don't need to see your midwife.

plupervert · 02/11/2011 08:14

Hope the day goes quickly, then, cheeptrick, and that you manage to get an early night.

I am thinking of visiting what someone on another thread called the "blue-and-yellow-ziggurat" this morning. Everything I still need appears to be in stock there, so hopefully all will be sorted and we can come home for playgroup then brownies later. Sounds an ideal day, doesn't it?! I'll report later on what goes wrong! Grin

sevensevenseven · 02/11/2011 08:35

Glad you're ok oi, try to keep us updated when you can. How exciting!
