Carty80 Would you be able to find out for me what the tablets were called, even what was in them so i could look it up and find some, getting desperate now, i was woken up by the wind (outside, not my own Smile) at 4am so am now up for the day i suppose. Does this tiredness last the full 9 months, I dont have any other symptoms apart from sore boobs but all i want to do is sleep, instead im up and about watching bleedin house doctor from 10 years ago!!

Kayzr · 11/10/2011 06:58

I've been awake nearly all night and now feel terrible. Good news though and no more spotting overnight. Smile

I should be able to get a bit of rest. DP is usually good at letting me nap if I need too.

I've just tried to brush my teeth and nearly threw up. With both boys anything with mint in it made me feel ill. Sorry you've been sick LadyGrace I've never actually been sick while I've been PG. I feel like a fraud Grin

greengoose · 11/10/2011 08:03

Kayzr glad to hear things seem to have settled down... I spotted with both of my boys early on, (theyll give you a scan, but only from 6weels, and even then its a bit dodgy whether they will see anything).....
The not sleeping thing is horrible isnt it? Ive been awake since 4.30. I always get this while Im preg, and for me it usually lasts the whole nine months. Not good prep for then being bone tired for another ages with a newborn!
Someone once told me its an evolutionary throwback.... as pregnant women we are programed to be more alert to danger, and in cave man times we would be most at risk just before dawn and wake up to tend the fire..... there has been research done on tribes that still live in this way, so they say. (This is also the reason for senses getting stronger, ie smell, taste, hearing)! Not sure Im believing it, feeling no urge to actually get out of bed, personally!
Have a good day all. My DH is stealing my laptop today Shock so Ill catch up tonight....

ReadySteadyDrink · 11/10/2011 09:02

Hello!

I haven't been on any buses. But I am now PG with DC number 2. EDD 16th June (I think!).

I'm nervous, excited...
Can I join?

xxx

Dalrymps · 11/10/2011 09:32

Of course you can readysteady! all are welcome! Congratulations Grin

Kveta · 11/10/2011 09:41

hope all remains well kazyr

welcome ReadySteady!

I was up all bloody night too, for no reason. I'm propping my eyelids open with matchsticks today. I'm very tempted to go and have a nap in the car at lunchtime, except I've got shedloads to do today.

boobs have totally stopped hurting though, so I'm being supremely paranoid, and have convinced myself that it's all over. gah, this waiting is a nightmare!

Carty80 · 11/10/2011 10:23

kayzr glad the spotting has disappeared. I had awful pain at 7 weeks with DS and was taken to hospital for a scan as they thought ectopic but it was nothing, just my body stretching etc. Never had any blood but it is just so scarey. Hope you manage to rest today.

readysteady welcome and congrats!

Seems like everybody is starting to get proper symptoms now! I couldn't get to sleep and then was up bright and early but just managed to get DH and DS out the door, put on Peppa Pig and lie in bed with DD and snooze Blush!

vix I will call my sis in law and get the name. Maybe could get from Holland & Barrett or there is an online shop she uses, I will get the name. I am picking up my load of pills from her next Thursday as she is going to treat me with the homeopathic pregnancy salts too. Like I said, I don't know if any of it works but I try it and she really believes in it so....

Hope everyone gets through the day without crashing to sleep somewhere odd! xx

Kayzr · 11/10/2011 10:51

I've just realised I haven't had breakfast and I am starving. Would it be wrong to get DP to take me out for lunch?? Grin

It seems we're all having trouble sleeping at the minute.

ReadySteady Welcome and congratulations.

MyMamaToldMe · 11/10/2011 11:12

Had my dr appointment today and it was really so nice and reassuring. She did another pregnancy test, and yep - I am still pregnant! Measured me, weighed me (gulp!) and felt my tummy. Tested my wee for whatever it is they test for and told me I'll see the midwife for my booking in appointment between 8-10. So sometime in the next 4 weeks. I filled in my maternity exemption form (forgot about that one!) and was given a copy of Emma's Diary. Left there feeling very positive!

Kayzr glad the spotting has stopped, and I hope all goes well now.

Carty80 I'd also like those details please! Last night my DD woke me up at 1:45am. I sent her back to bed, but it then took me until around 4am to get back to sleep. Walking zombie here!

readysteady welcome and congrats!

Kveta my boobs stopped being sore too for a day or so, but they are back to being sore now.

ReadySteadyDrink · 11/10/2011 11:29

Hi girls!

Thanks, and congrats to you too. So nervous and excited!!!! :-)

AnnaMariaWhiskers · 11/10/2011 14:18

Hello Ladies

Mind if I join you? Went to the doctors today, so feeling 'officially' pregnant - due beginning of June. It's my first, so I don't really know what I'm doing! Just thought I'd say hi x

Dalrymps · 11/10/2011 15:10

Welcome and congratulations AnnaMaria! Grin

Lovely to have another first timer, it just so special that first time..

Lovely to have you on the thread.

My main hobby at the moment is to worry about total lack of symptoms. No sore boobs, no sickness, just very slight indigestion after I eat quite often. Ho hum.

Onlymydogunderstandsme · 11/10/2011 15:38

Hi Ladies, can I join please? I am 5+3 with my first (although my second pregnancy as I had an early mc at the beginning of last month). Still haven't told DP as he has been working away and there hasn't been a 'right' time so think I will wait until I see him on Friday now!! Very excited but also scared of something going wrong although I know nothing I can do about it! Had a doctors appointment today so feels a bit more real now by saying 'i'm pregnant' out loud to someone - does that sound a bit mad??!!

Anyone got Emma's diary?

What do you think of the load of rubbish it?

OP posts:
Kayzr · 11/10/2011 16:17

I had it with DS1 Starlight bloody rubbish.

I've got dr appointment at 10 to 5 so I think I'll tell him then as I'm there.

MyMamaToldMe · 11/10/2011 16:22

Welcome to all the newbies - especially the first timers! Exciting times ahead!

Starlight I was given a copy of Emma's Diary today at my dr appointment - not heard of it before today, and nor have I had a chance to look at it. But if it's rubbish, I guess I still have my baby book from the last time to keep up with!

Kayzr · 11/10/2011 16:29

Sorry meant to say congratulations to the newbies!! It's so exciting Grin

MN newbie here, been POAS every day for a week including the digital option just to check that the BFP is still there! Due 15th June I think tho it makes me a bit nervous considering that far ahead. I have no symptoms at all yet which is freaking me out a bit.

Kayzr · 11/10/2011 17:39

What a waste of time that was. Doctor just worked out due date, gave me a prescription for folic acid and said to make an MW appointment for 8 weeks. Receptionist said I now have to go to maternity unit at hospital for booking in appt. So fun trip on the bus with DS2 at some point.
