I am very excited. It all seems to be coming together now.

GingerbreadGiraffe · 12/08/2011 21:45

Yay for a new thread.
!!
Hurray for the wedding Kayz.

Ses- poor DS and his bum. I've had those evenings of not getting in the car.... tests patience after a day a work.

Got to go now but back soon on the new thread!!

Kayzr · 14/08/2011 12:17

Morning.

Hope you're all having good weekends.

I think I ovulated on Friday. Not sure how much of a chance we've got as last GOF was Monday night. But I've read sperm can live up til 7 days. So maybe.

We've decided that my mum, best friend and myself are going to make cupcakes for the wedding so need to get practicing the baking and decorating.

Diege · 16/08/2011 10:22

Hello! Thanks for the new thread SES, excellent work! Hey don't feel too bad about car seat struggle. I have done far worse...when dd2 was about 3 she developed an irrational hatred of the car seat and wanted to sit on my knee in the front. On one occasion we had to literally tie her in using that black tape - sounds appalling I know Blush but the alternative was her crawling into the front. Last resort on the way home from an outing after an hr long tantrum in car park...We used public trasnport/bikes/our legs after that!
Great news about the wedding KAYZ! That time will go so fast, very exciting Smile
Things fine here, though feeling pretty tired with the dds off school and trying to get out and about with a limited budget. School hols are sooo expensive. Went to a theme park yesterday - great day out but hard work. Have been watching the pennies but have to admi to a moment of weakness on Sunday. Have had my eye on a pair of Red Valentino sandals all summer, but couldn't justify the £160 price tag. Was sent a 'sale alert' e-mail sunday am - reduced to £80 - couldn;t resist! Am now having buyer's remorse...
Off to mw later - paranoid about them finding a clear heartbeat again, though know it's only the placenta swooshing that's in the way, so hardly sinister. I am such a worrier!
Love to all xxx

Kayzr · 16/08/2011 14:02

I've been sick this morning. I know that 4dpo is far too early for morning sickness but I just can't help symptom spotting. Stupid me!!

Diege · 16/08/2011 14:07

Hmm yes just a tad too early, although I HAVE heard of women where this happens and it turns out they are pregnant. Good luck anyway! Grin

Kayzr · 16/08/2011 14:09

It's just that I feel fine now. I thought if I had a bug I'd still be feeling rubbish.

Diege · 16/08/2011 18:27

Hmmm I'm not saying anything Wink
Mw was fine (scary one still away). Found heartrate easily this time (144>160) and baby is breech at the moment. I suspected he'd turned as heartburn has returned, and felt hiccoups high up this morning. At least he's vertical now! Have anti-D appt at hossy 9am Thursday.

Kayzr · 16/08/2011 22:49

DS2 has just been sick so I'm thinking we've all got a bug. I just hope his only lasts a few hours like mine did. Or he has bedtime sickness Grin

SESthebrave · 17/08/2011 07:58

Kayz - hope DS2 recovered quickly!

Diege - glad MW appointment went well :)

DS's bum is all recovered now but it was so sore for a few days!

I'm 11dpo and temp is dropping so I'm just waiting for AF now. Not too disheartened as we only had one vaguely well-timed GOF this month - we'll just have to try again next month!

Kayzr · 17/08/2011 11:16

He was sick once and then fine. It's strange because I've never had a bug like it. Usually when I'm ill I feel bad all day but it was only a few hours in the morning. Just hoping DS1 doesn't get it too.

tinkbig · 19/08/2011 11:24

Kayzr · 22/08/2011 07:37

I hate the 2ww. It feels more like a 2 year wait. I'm 10dpo and AF is due Friday. Temp is still up at the minute so fingers crossed.

tinkbig · 22/08/2011 09:45

hi kay good luck sounds hopeful :)

Kayzr · 23/08/2011 06:17

BFN this morning. So just waiting for AF now. No chance of it next month either so looks like it'll be October before we can try again.

tinkbig · 23/08/2011 08:38

sorry kay

dd1 one has paedatrician appmnt this aft re dyspraxia concerns

SESthebrave · 23/08/2011 20:34

Sorry for BFN Kay

Tink - how did appointment go with DD1?

DH has been on BP meds for about 6 months. His BP is still not coming down and so he may get put on more. He also has just told me he's started getting occasional chest pains! He really needs to lose some weight. I'm sure the fact that we eat so late in the evening doesn't help. We normally eat about 8.30pm and I'm not sure how we can bring that forward as DH doesn't normally get home from work until 7.30pm. I get home with DS about 6.45pm. By the time DS has had a snack and a drink whilst I get changed and his bath ready, it's 7.15pm before we start bedtime.
What do you all do?

OP posts:
tinkbig · 23/08/2011 20:49

hi ses - appmnt went well - she has been diagnosed with developmental dyspraxia

we eat tea at 7:30pm after we put the girls to bed

Starshinetiger · 23/08/2011 21:17

Hi All, sorry been absent so long - been a pretty tough 5 weeks, but hopefully coming out the other side now. Catheter removal for DD 2 weeks ago didn't happen, she came home in pain, with an infection - the worst diarrhoea and nappy rash I've ever seen (stupid local hospital - didn't do cultures on her specimen, so GOSH didn't know what bugs she had and it caused more delay). Looks like she still has some bugs that have come back this week, so more antibiotics :-( but hopefully after this we'll get a bit of a clear run [hopeful emoticon]

Ses - I think it is really tough on healthy eating when you have to eat late. I've slipped terribly over the last 5 weeks and put at least 5-6lbs back on, but am hoping now to get back on track. I think eating late is difficult but not a complete blocker. When I was doing well the two things I think were really making a difference were 1) trying to eat my main meal at lunchtime at work and then only eat light in the evening (whether this was getting something in the restaurant, or taking in leftovers to heat up) and 2) only snacking on fruit (as much as I liked) in between meals. Oh, the other thing was taking a walk around the building (only a few mins) at the time when I would normally have decided on a sugar/caffeine boost. It was the last thing I felt I could justify seeing as how heavy my workload is, but it really boosted my concentration (let's face it, if I was a smoker, no-one would take the slightest bit of notice if I went outside for a fag!). I don't know if that's any help, but since I need to remind myself of that to get back on track, worth writing it down. I worked out that even if I bought my lunch every day and then just had an omelette or salad for tea, it was still as economical as buying snacks mid-morning and afternoon and having food in the house for a substantial tea and I felt much better for it. Mind you, I have not managed to shift the baby weight in 5 years, so I am certainly no expert - but seeing as DD is still a madam to get to bed and I'm sometimes not downstairs until 8.30pm, I need to find a good way of eating properly - hopefully we'll get a better routine once school hols finish and we adjust to DS being at school.

Kayz - sorry for BFN. Still not too late and October will roll round really quickly, but I know that it all seems to take ages when you're TTC.

Tink - glad appt went well. Sounds like you had a good hol too.

Diege - glad mw appt went well.

Ginger - excited for you at TTC in the autumn Grin

Waves to Gruff (thinking of you still and glad some retail therapy has at least been helping a tiny bit!), Can't, Bumps, Moos and anyone else I've missed (sure I have... need sleep....)

Kayzr · 23/08/2011 22:05

DS1 has been throwing up today Sad Plus I've had some spotting this afternoon.

Star Sorry to hear you've had a rough time. I hope DD gets rid of all her bugs soon

I feel all bleugh

GingerbreadGiraffe · 24/08/2011 07:32

Hello all

Lovely to see some activity on here!

Tink - glad you had a good holiday

Kay- sorry for BFN. It also think that October will be here before you know it...

Star- sorry to hear that DD has been so poorly. Doesn?t sound good at all. Hope she is on the mend now.

Ses- sorry to hear your DH?s BP isn?t coming down. We have the late night eating challenge too. Sounds like not much can prevent the timings ? your daily routine is busy! .. could he eat a main meal at lunch time and then go for a bowl of soup or similar in the evening? Only other option is maybe not bath O everyday so you can get him in bed earlier and shift everything forward?? We find that the SG doesn?t really need a daily bath these days. Less so as autumn starts and there is less sun cream usage at nursery!

Thanks for your TTC well wishes. Am quite nervous about it for some reason which is daft I know!! Confused

Diege- glad all is progressing well. I cant believe how fast your PG has gone this time!

Hi gruff and everyone else xx
