Hi CANT!!! Don't panic - it's highly unlikely that the pill hasn't worked. More likely that the stress of the last month has mucked it up and prevented ovulation (if mini pill). Woulod you even dare thinbk about doing a test to put your mind at rest? Sorry for all the upset and stress about dh/car/job etc. must be tough Sad
STAR, new job sounds exciting! Remind me, how many hrs did you do before? If you are happier this way then the skintness will look after itself (in a work/life balance way!)
TINKS, oooh Bettaware....I must admit to being one of those people that leave them untouhed after having a pushy sales rep bang on the door. I'm sure you are lovely though Grin
SES, how are things? HOpe you're feeling a little stronger xx
GING - how is the ttc-ing going??
32 weeks tomorrow, though by my dates not 32 till next Tuesday...Feeling very crampy, heavy dragging feeling in bump and I'm sure I'll go early (ie. pre-37 weeks). A woman at school today said 'You still haven't had that baby yet then???' followed by 'do you have big babies then???' when I said I had another 8 weeks Grin Ok, I get the hint, I look like an effing whale Blush. 3 more weeks at work, and while I was promised I could work from home for the last 2, will have to come in for meetings...Still, could be worse.
Hope everyone is ok! D x

tinkbig · 08/09/2011 12:06

GingerbreadGiraffe · 08/09/2011 12:47

Hi All

Cant- like the other said, try not to panic. Does seem unlikely. Maybe test to put your mind at rest? Holiday sounds good though Grin
Star- hooray for handing in your notice! Hope the 2day a week role comes off. Happy Bday to your DS. Hope he puts the uniform on when it comes to it on Monday! Glad DD is better.

Tink- hello. Hope you got all your catalogues collected.

Diege- boo to the comments about being big! They are probably just jealous. Does your 2 wks of WFH take you right up to 40 wks or earlier than that?

The TTC rollercoaster is going ok thanks for asking. Had a ?busy? weekend of GOFing, hopefully well timed too. I am officially on 2WW. Trying not to symptom spot but it?s very hard!
I am only 4 or 5DPO so don?t expect anything really.

Hi everyone else.

Gruff ? hope you are ok?

GingerbreadGiraffe · 08/09/2011 12:49

that post sounded really emotionless! Sorry Blush

Brew anyone?

Diege · 08/09/2011 13:32

Sounded fine to me Grin
2 weeks wfh takes me to about 36 weeks, so a bit of pedicure time then I think!
I will def join you in a Brew if you could muster up some scotch pancakes? (current craving).

GingerbreadGiraffe · 08/09/2011 15:51

yum ok. Got the kitchen aid running already!!

Diege · 08/09/2011 16:12

tinkbig · 08/09/2011 19:13

:)

SESthebrave · 08/09/2011 20:58

Wow! You lot have been very chatty :)

Cant - have you decided to get a test? FWIW, I agree with whoever it was that said AF is probably late due to the stress of recent weeks & months.
Glad you had a good holiday but sorry for all the hassles you've had since. Hope things calm down for you all.

Bumps - good to hear from you. It sounds like things have been even more hectic for you! Well done on DP for setting up his business. Sounds like he's really trying to make a good go of it so I hope he gets the success he deserves. Thank goodness your SPD isn't like your pg with DS!

Tink - sounds like you've settled down to a good routine now DD1 is back at school. Hope the Betterware catalogues are productive for you.

Giraffe - I'm 4dpo too so we could be testing / hoping around the same time. We only managed one well-timed GOF though and I have no symptoms (ok, I know it's early yet!) so trying not to get my hopes up.

Diege - stupid comments from stupid people! Your 32 weeks pg so surely they should expect you to be looking .... errr..... v pg!! Hope you don't have to go in for too many meetings during your last couple of weeks of work.

Star - happy birthday to your DS! Sounds from FB like you've all had a great day :)

I'm doing ok. Trying to focus on the positive things in life because to be frank I don't really have it bad! I do expect / hope that I will get pg again at some point during the next 6 months but whether I will actually ever have a sticky pregnancy again I don't know. Prepared to keep trying for the moment though!
Work is busy. I've been given an additional project to work on to help with my profile and development, which is good but I'm running out of hours in the day!

Starshinetiger · 08/09/2011 22:44

Can't - what a full on time you are having at the moment! FWIW (although I'm not on the pill), I had a 37 day cycle in spring (really freaked me out - did about 3 tests!), cycle still not regular - was followed by a 20 day one and now it seems to sit between 25 and 30 days, whereas I was always regular before. I have to admit that I would be testing to put my mind at rest if I was you. Hope you get an answer soon. Glad your DH is back at work - hope things are improving there for him.

Giraffe - fingers crossed for you on 2WW. Exciting times!

Ses - fingers crossed for you too. Gorgeous piccies of your DS on fb Grin

Diege - wow did not realise you were so close too - is very exciting. Hope you do manage some wfh time and that you definitely get some chill-out/pedicure time before DC5 arrives!

The job I applied for is 0.4FTE. Had 1st interview last week and was told I would hear whether I would be taken forward for 2nd round by end of this week. In the interview, they started talking about how 0.4FTE would need to be over 3 days and I needed to be flexible in my hours, so am a bit Hmm about it now, since I'd need to see whether the 2 days' salary would be worth having 3 days' childcare for depending on what hours they wanted... is also a step down from my current role but would give me some really solid back to basics time... might not get 2nd round, so we'll see. Diege - to answer you, am currently 3 days a week, but have to travel abroad every couple of weeks and am starting to get very freaked about travelling regularly on planes away from the DC, plus I work 4-6 hours every Sunday evening after the DC are in bed to get on top of my work. Was on annual leave today, but done an hours works this eve to keep on top and sent some emails during day from blackberry. I know some people thrive on this, but think I have just decided it's now or never on the be a SAHM front and to take 2 years out to do that... we'll see how it all goes! Once both DC are in school in 2 years time, we can see what the best course of action is.

bumpsnowjustplump · 08/09/2011 23:03

evening all.

Deige I have it all the time. Everybody feels its ok to ask if I am having twins and when I say no they proceed to tell me that I will be having a 11 lb er then...... grrrrrr

midwife didnt turn up today so have had to rebook for next week... so another week of worry ahead.

Cant sure it is the stress and a test would put your mind at rest..

only 3 weeks left at work yay but boy are they working me.. 40 hour week this week and i am meant to be pt... work that one out

Goood luck ses and ginger will be awaiting with bated breath..

belated birthday wishes to your ds star... bet he had a lovely day

GingerbreadGiraffe · 09/09/2011 07:42

Hooray for some wagon chat!

Star- that sounds annoying if they want the 2 days over 3.... Fingers crossed it moves on for you anyway.

Cant- how are you today?

Ses- Hooray for being a cycle buddy! According to my iphone tracker app, AF is due 19th or thereabouts but I think the ov was earlier. Fingers crossed for you xx

Bumps- 40hrs? thats mad. Im sure you could do without that at the moment. Hope it passes quick. And as Ses said, phew for no SPD- I remember how miserable that is.

Right lots of work to do so better go but will be lurking for the chatters....

x

Kayzr · 09/09/2011 07:58

Morning.

Sorry I haven't been about recently. Been getting bad headaches and been unable to look at the computer much.

Cant, hope you get the result you want. Maybe it's just late. Mine was often late up to 5 days when I was on the pill.

tinkbig · 09/09/2011 13:29

bkmrg

hi chatty ladies :p

ses - u sound busy with work

star - job sounds interesting

off to hull this aft childless with hubby for a wedding back sun

GingerbreadGiraffe · 09/09/2011 14:39

Hi all

Kayz- headaches dont sound good. Any better now? How long before your DP is back?

Tink- childfree weekend sounds lush! Enjoy

well, Im trying not to symptom spot HONESTLY! but I've having a lot of nausea and achy cramps. Nausea been on and off all week so thats unlikely to be related. Now I am imagining implanation....
Please slap me around face and tell me to get a grip......I really shouldnt read old threads about 2ww symptoms since I am almost professional at imagining symptoms of any kind... Blush

Grin
Starshinetiger · 09/09/2011 15:45

I decline the offer to slap you round the face and will only encourage you i'm afraid Ginger! On the basis that you have said you are only planning 2 DC and in case you do fall pg 1st time, just think - this may be your last chance to revel in 2WW symptom spotting Grin. You want to make the most of every second of this process so that you have more of a chance of kicking any subsequent (to DC2) broodiness into touch. Obviously if you aren't and it takes a while, then you won't want to indulge every month, but for this month, I say go for it and indulge your fantasies GrinWink
Looking forward to accompanying you along the way!
Kayz - boo to headaches
Tink - yay to childfree weekend - enjoy the wedding.

Boo to having received an email today that I've not been taken forward to 2nd round (am a bit gutted to have not even got 2nd round for a more junior role, but not sure I wanted the role anyway, so shall just consume wine this evening to get over my disappointment...). Looks like I shall officially be a SAHM from December... at least we have a fully paid for (i.e. we've already paid/saved for it all) holiday to Australia to look forward to, so that will take the edge off! Am contemplating a blog to chart the move from WOHM to SAHM... watch this space!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 09/09/2011 16:17

Oh no Star :( sorry to hear that you didnt get through to next round. Yay to transition to SAHM. How lovely that will be for you. Will be interested to track your blog to see how it goes. The holiday will be a great milestone for it!

Thanks for encouragement Star! Grin You are right, I might as well enjoy it. I was busy being casual about it -or trying to be. Blush

Got a BFP with first GOF last time so its hard to shake idea that it might be same again but equally, I've got PCOS and dodgy ovaries so it could be I was jolly lucky last time! Either way, you are right I will enjoy.

What were everyone elses 2 ww symptoms?

Last time I had really odd hot belly (low down) around a week post ov. Was weird. That was it really!

Ses- anything interesting going on for you?

GingerbreadGiraffe · 09/09/2011 16:17
Diege · 09/09/2011 16:55

Oh STAR that's disappointing Sad Will you continue to look for part-time flexible positions, or will you go over to the 'other side' anyway? Wink I did think they were taking the p*ss a bit paying you for 2 days work but asking you to work 3, so maybe a mixed blessing? Hmm Will be another one who will look forward to reading your blog Smile
GING, I agree, indulge that symptom spotting! The main symptom for me was always early waking (4/5ish) - right every time! When might you test??
TINKS enjoy that weekend - very Envy!
BUMPS, agree, other people's comments are the worst, esp when they are less than complementary (in our eyes!). Hope you get some reassurnace from mw soon - I'm assuming in relation to growth?
CANT, any news?
KAYZ, good to hear from you and sorry about the headaches - think you have always been a sufferer haven't you (or is that CANT?) Confused
Better go, madhouse as usual!
D x

Kayzr · 09/09/2011 19:31

Diege, yeah I always have headaches. It's exhausting and I feel like the doctors are doing nothing. They think I'm stressed even though I don't feel stressed. Whenever I go they tell me I'm stressed and to take paracetamol. Like I haven't tried that already.

DP is due home next week. Sorry for TMI but I'm desperate for you know what Grin

SESthebrave · 09/09/2011 20:52

Kayz - Grin only a week to wait!

Star - I think the job just wasn't for you. It did seem a bit Hmm that you would need to do 2 days work spread across 3 days. Hope everything works out. I would also be interested to follow your blog.

Cant - any news?

Tink - enjoy your child free weekend :)

Giraffe - it's great to have your symptom spotting enthusiasm! I'd started to lose mine after a year ttc and 4 pregnancies with only 1DC but reading your posts have got me excited again! What about, I don't know as even if I try v v hard, I can't find any symptoms Hmm

Hello everyone else - hope you all have good weekends!

OP posts:
SESthebrave · 09/09/2011 20:54

Sorry - reading that back, my post to Giraffe sounds very woe is me when actually I'm not feeling like that - just pleased to have an injection of enthusiasm!

OP posts:
GingerbreadGiraffe · 10/09/2011 11:58

Morning

Kayz- you have a 1ww all of your own! Hope it goes quickly... Grin

Ses- glad the enthusiasm is ok. I think, in my honest view 2ww symptoms are a bit Hmm anyway but its a bit of fun I guess. Grin

what is your AF due date?

hope everyone is having good w/e.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 10/09/2011 14:08

Sorry to not have got back... Was going to test today if AF hadn't arrived, but I came on yesterday, and it brought with it my monthly migrane... I'm now dying on the sofa! DH isn't off till Monday so gotta cope all weekend alone with the kids :(

Must have been due to the pressures of the last few weeks!

Sorry about the job star, being a SAHM will be a big change for you! :)

Kayzr · 10/09/2011 14:32

Cant, Yay for AF BOO for migraine. I know how you feel. Except I have just 1 child at the minute.

DS2 is at butlins with my brother and his fiancée. He's having a brilliant time Grin but it's so quiet here.

I'm officially on 2ww but no chance of a bfp Grin
