Thanks for tips about PL. My dh hasnt even told his colleagues that we are expecting so getting PL should be interesting! Clearly he is having an office affair.

He worked at a different company for the last two so not sure what their policy is. Every company I hVe worked for have given at least 1 week compassionate leave followed by a week of either ssp or annual leave for fellas but I realise now how generous this is and unfortunately dh's company were never that kind!

How do you report it? Do you just report the first post or something?

Anybody starting to feel really festive? Less than 5 weeks to Christmas, and then the weird thing is that our babies will be here really soon after that! Eeek!

I am feeling very bored of being on sick leave now. I have even cleaned out the utility room ! Not sure how I will cope if I am signed off until the baby arrives!

My best friend is visiting tomorrow with her newborn - can't wait :)

Be warned PDR, newborn might have a strong affininty to your boobs! See my post on this in the last thread (probably about 2-3 weeks ago).

pdr I am feeling bored too but cant go back to work like this.I did a bit of cleaning today and the breathlessness was so bad i was going to call the Dr,it went off when i sat down tho,i then went to ASDA and after an hour my spd was terrible and i then had to wlak and pick up dd as i let dh take the car as we over slept.
wiggles how come my dh has 2 weeks off pat leave and not yours? Mine has that and then 2 weeks al after which will be a first for me as my previous excuse for a dh used to drop me home and leave the engine running to go back to work!I wont know myself.(he will probably get on my nerves actually)

Breathlessness must be scary ledkr :( I find with the SPD I can do things in small doses - but it does mean in a day I actually accomplish very little! I am using the crutches more now though when out & about and they to help. I went to the shops this morning but went first thing so it was quiet and I didn't have to queue etc. Got another physio appointment tomo - not looking forward to walking from the car park to the dept as its really far!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Deliaskis ah yes she will definately smell me and as my boobs are leaking already it will be even worse!

Wish I'd read about the sainsburys sale before going shopping at asda today but did pick up the Most Comfortable Clothes i've worn since becoming pregnant and they were only £14 for both- yoga style joggers and long sleeve ribbed (for my pleasure !) t-shirt in size 16. i've informed OH that i am not changing now until this baby is born. Had BHs on and off for the past few days and they are more than uncomfortable, think i shocked the carpark attendant by my clutching my belly on route back to the car this afternoon, he asked if i was okay!

I had planned to get some lanisoh but it is expensive, is it worth the price and does it last?

Felt so sorry for Paige last night but it is funny that wagner is still there, if he ever gets in the bottom 2 he'll be out though. Rebecca to win!

MIL is going to ask our hv to visit us soon to introduce herself and answer any questions we may have. Is there anything you wish you'd known but didn't ask? I'm sure I must have loads of questions but baby brain is making me forget everything.

Sounds like you had a good bday weekend delia, hope the recovery is going to plan! It's my bday next sunday and when asked what i wanted to do i said sleep.... possibly eat cake too but a night without needing a wee/ sore ribs etc would be even better!

Speaking of struggling to walk from car parks etc - at what point (if at all) can we consider using mother and child/disabled parking spaces whilst pregnant? I'm against in principle using disabled parking spaces if you don't have a disabled badge, but if it was that or a space miles away I don't think my back could take the walk so it would have to be the disabled space, keep driving round and round until someone close by left or turn around and drive home. I must admit to parking in a mother and child space in tesco last week . I kept looking out for irate mothers to shout at me for it but luckily nothing. I legitimised it to myself by the fact that I am sort of a mother with a child inside me, and only did it as there was nowhere else to park

NeedToSleep you only need a tiny bit of lanisoh and it is very good. The doctor can prescribe something called Kammilosan (?) which is similar but not as good (well they did during my last pregnancy not sure if they would now what with budget cuts etc). Get thyself down to Sainsbury's before Wednesday!

Talking of prescriptions has anyone got one of those NHS cards? My midwife was fab last time I was pg and filled out all the forms for me. This time I have a bloody miserable midwife and she's given me bugger all!

Yes PDR I got that form at my booking in appt way back when - mw was good at giving that to me. I had to ask to get the grant form though .

A reminder for you who still have bits from the leaflets etc given at booking in - there's another pg voucher/goody bag voucher from the emmas diary booklet you can collect from lloyds pharmacy/argos from 27 weeks pg. Must remember to collect mine in the hope there's something worthwhile in it.

and, erm, on what body part do you rub on lanisoh? I'm assuming nipples....

Angels, DH and I saw a pregnant woman use a P&C space at the supermarket the other day and I defended her because the poor woman was waddling a fair bit. I used to use P&C spaces in the multistorey in town when I got huge because I was worried that if someone parked next to me I wouldn't be able to get back in

needtosleep, I never used any kind of nipple cream, you might find that you don't need it at all.

Angels - I don't park in disabled parking spaces but have no problem whatsoever parking in mother and child spaces. And quite frankly any mother who dares to even raise an eyebrow at it would be risking far too much!!! TBH I don't think anyone would mind you parking in Parent and Child spaces anyway, I need the extra space at the side to be able to get out of the car now anyway!
