Just a new thread as I noticed we are near the limit (again)!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
angels1 · 28/10/2010 11:50

oh no - I can't believe I spelt 'losing' wrong on the thread title - I can't escape my baby brain thickness when looking on this thread for the next few months until we get another one now. I feel extremely Blush

Ah I think its very appropriate angels as baby brain is striking us all. I have been struck by it many times. I just hope it never gets as bad as one woman I read about who suddenly forgot how to drive for no apparent reason!

Re: the M&P pram. The seller says it has a cot for a newborn (carrycot, I guess?) and the pic shows an older baby sitting mostly upright. Do carrycots have a mattress that would need replacing? angels, you reminded me that we need to make sure it fits in the boot of the car.

ScMacBt · 28/10/2010 12:15

It could maybe be an ultima as they have a separate carrycot and pushchair attachments, these are the most expensive of the mamas and papas range so at 20 its a bargain if it is that kind. Also could mean a car seat will clip onto the chassis saves space in boot etc that way.

ProfessorLaytonIsMyZombieSlave · 28/10/2010 13:03

This is my Halloween name. Next Monday you will all be treated to my Bonfire Night name and will then be granted a brief respite before my Christmas name... Grin

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/10/2010 13:46

Love the thread title angels and agree with zero that the spelling mistake is very appropriate. I keep forgetting how to spell things and that's always been my bread and butter Grin. Good luck at the dentist's this afternoon!

Anyway, marking my space so that I don't lose you all!

zerominuszero · 28/10/2010 13:49

americanexpat to be honest at £20 it's still a bargain even if it's made of broken twigs so it sounds like you're probably getting a good deal. Do you have family who might look after the baby a lot? If so then you might want a second pram to keep at theirs anyway, so you could use it for that. My MIL is getting a pram from her hairdresser to keep permanantly at her house for when she plays babysitter.

knittakid · 28/10/2010 14:14

Bookmarking.
love the thread name too.

Went to see a friend this morning and she kept saying 'Feb. is not so far away, you know?!' and she's bloody right!!!!!!

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/10/2010 14:17

I know, it's gone so quickly, it's nearly November... Shock

ProfessorLaytonIsMyZombieSlave · 28/10/2010 14:23

Actually, angels, if you report your own OP on this thread and ask MNHQ nicely if they would please correct your spelling then they generally will (on threads that are expected to stick around and get close to 1000 posts, anyway).

prof I've never contacted MNHQ before (imagines an efficient office type environment of busy people at computers). I think so long as you all know that I can actually spell (although I know sometimes this is questionable) I'm OK with it - it will forever remind us of baby brain {hgrin]. Love the haloween name and can't wait for the christmas name Hmm

Well, celeb pregnancy update - just watched on you tube that mariah carey has finally admitted she is pregnant. She wouldn't give her due date but guessing is it's feb/march. I watched her announcement with a tear in my eye (those darn hormones) as she spoke of a miscarriage a year or so ago and at the same time she was going through that the media kept asking her if she was pregnant - can't imagine how horrible that must be - to have a mc is bad enough, but to have the world looking at you and asking if you are pregnant at the same time must be so upsetting and stressful.

dentist was fine - teeth are OK. Aparently it's normal to struggle to drink water for weeks and be in face screwing up pain when you eat when pregnant due to sensitive teeth. Dentist told me I'm just unlucky - if I had £1 for every time a blooming health professional told me I'm 'unlucky' with my pregnancy symptoms I could be very rich by now!!

Just checking in to the new thread.

I have exciting news - my elcs is booked for 31 Jan so I'm just sneaking in to that month. I'm quite comfortable here though so I think I'll stay if that's OK Smile

americanexpat · 28/10/2010 15:37

angels - you might be on to something, I can't believe we didn't figure that out before...

SlaughteredSheep · 28/10/2010 15:41

Hello!

Ooh, shiny new thread! I can't believe how quickly we got through the old one - you gobby lot [hwink].

Girlafraid, how exciting to get your date! It's great to know for sure when your baby is going to arrive! [hsmile]

Sorry you've been feeling breathless and your SPD is getting worse Ledkr. These babies have a lot to answer for!

Mine's so active at the minute I can feel her all the time, even when I'm busy! I hope it continues as I panic when she goes quiet!

SlaughteredSheep · 28/10/2010 15:45

[hgrin] at Prof working for MNHQ!

I had a dream once that I went to MN towers. It was a castle where MNers had meet ups and there was a room inside with lots of computers and you would sit next to other MNers whilst MNing at the same time [hhmm]. I think it was my subconscious telling me that I spend waaaaaay to much time on here. [hblush] I wasn't even pg at the time of the dream so don't have pregnancy hormones to blame it on!

SlaughteredSheep · 28/10/2010 15:46

Too much*

americanexpat · 28/10/2010 17:40

I haven't seen tadjennyp post in a while. I think she was having monitoring after the car accident, I hope everything is OK.

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/10/2010 17:58

so do I americanexpat, sure she'll let us know when she's ready.

I have a vision of MN towers as being this gothic castle with lots of turrets each filled with a different MNer executive scanning the posts for tales of fruit shoots (I still don't know what these are...) and reprimanding naughty mums! In the grand hall MNers gather to whisper about posts they wish they'd never contributed to.

angels good to hear all went well with dentist, hope you got a sticker for being brave! Wink

NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/10/2010 18:00

maybe prof was visiting the castle for her initiation after proving herself worthy of MN's higher status and not really on holiday in a lovely cottage! Grin Wink

angels1 · 28/10/2010 18:19

I also think when MNer execs meet at MNHQ they have to wear big masks like the smiley emoticons so that their 'real' identity remains a mystery, even to each other. [hgrin]

OP posts:
NeedToSleepZZZ · 28/10/2010 18:23

brilliant! Grin

think I'd wear the confused emoticon though!

angels1 · 28/10/2010 18:28

I wonder how many of them wear the Biscuit emoticon [hhmm] . I imagine they get VERY excited when the festive emoticons come into play [hgrin]
