Good morning Shabs and all , I am knackered , I seem to spend half my life feeling knackered .

I could do with some get up and go if anyone has some spare

travellingwilbury · 15/10/2009 07:07

TPS , snow ? where did you here this wicked rumour ? I actually love a bit of snow but it is a bit early . Where abouts are you ? Somewhere warm and lovely no doubt

shabbapinkfrog · 15/10/2009 07:25

Sorry my love - none to spare here - was wondering if you had any you could spare

ThePrettiestStar · 15/10/2009 10:07

Morning!

Sorry to have panicked you shabba and tw, just went back and looked and it's a different country

I was worried myself, I hate snow - I'm clumsy at the best of times. I'm not anywhere warm and lovely either! Ireland... although I moved here from East Sussex whuch is definitely a bit warmer.

Can't help you with the get up and go either! If I could get some I would be tidying.

travellingwilbury · 15/10/2009 10:46

I am in West Sussex TPS . Not so bloody warm here today but the sun is shining so not too bad .

I think I need a magic tonic or something , I just cba to do anything

shabbapinkfrog · 15/10/2009 15:23

Get me some of that magic tonic while you are at it either that or a large kick up the arse bum xxx

Ooooowwww, I've never been to Ireland but I've always fancied it. Stupidly enough I've travelled around the world but I haven't been to Ireland or Wales

I'm doing fine with dh away. Infact I've got quite a few things done (paperwork etc) which I've been meaning to do for ages.

chegirlknowswhereyoulive · 15/10/2009 20:18

Got a letter from wheelchair services this week addressed to Billie

How the hell did that happen? I called them the day after she died and they picked up her chair.

No excuse.

I hate them and have sent a complaint email. Had to email because they would not supply address on the stupid letter they sent out.

Not only was it addressed to my child it was badly written and confusing and lacking in basic information.

So I told them.

Stupid bloody people

ILikeToQuickstepItTangoIt · 15/10/2009 20:29

Che

Things like that are a bloody kick in the gut aren't they. There's just no excuse for such incompetence.

We still get letters through addressed to C or to the parents of C.

shabbapinkfrog · 15/10/2009 20:32

nobheads fools Che Im for you.

After I lost my twin boy - Gareth, we went to the TSB bank to put his little savings account into Dannys account. They asked me why and then needed to see his death certificate (WTF he had about £50 in and was only 7 months old) they then wrote deceased in red biro over every page of his savings book Then I went down to the baby clinic to have Danny inoculated and the HV asked why I hadnt taken Gareth when I explained she also wrote the same on his notes with another fecking red biro. I hope whoever has sent you this letter gets the flying shits for weeks and weeks!!!!

oh god .. we have had a traumatic few days here ..

my neighbour comes in and informs she has a rat in her garden.. she has seen it a few days in a row now.

I inform her och it'll be a mouse.. we have loads of them around here.. but then she says come see and there is a rat running around her garden and then it comes to visit us!!!

her dh works away for months at a time so she is a bit more independant than me and she talks me into trappping it.

We put the traps down yesterday and last night the bait was gone, trap triggered but nothing caught

my dh was in the door 3 mins when my neighbour comes in and says I think its in your trap.. I can hear squealing

dh goes out and orders me inside.. its caught but not dead..poor dh has to put it out of its misery before he can dispose of it

Well at least it took my mind off other things for a few days... hopefully its a one off!!

shabbapinkfrog · 15/10/2009 23:09

Oh my word - I am just watching the repeat of the Piers Morgan interview with Cilla Black. she has just described how she lost her little girl - Ellen - I think she was just 27 weeks pregnant. She has tears running down her face and I am sure it is at least 25 years ago. She told Piers Morgan how you never, ever, 'get over it.' I have sobbed just listening to her. xxxxx

Good morning all , I am up at silly o clock again , I had thought my boys had got out of this habit but apparently not .

chegirl , I am so sorry to hear the idiots sent you that letter , I haven't had that happen for a while now thankfully but I remember that horrible feeling .

fm , that sounds scary , our rat is still making the odd visit and we have tried everything to get rid of it ,

Ilike , it sounds like you are nearly enjoying this time on your own

I have got a meeting at work today to find out more information because they are changing our job title and contracts . I am wanting a lot of answers but will probably end up listening to a load of old flannel

shabbapinkfrog · 16/10/2009 06:48

HIya Shabs , how is Tom getting on at school now ? Is he looking forward to Alton towers this weekend ?

shabbapinkfrog · 16/10/2009 07:17

I think, personally, he is just going through the motions....he is a very complex lad - academically very, very bright but socially very shy and un-sure about himself.

Im more nervous about tomorrow than I was when he went on PGL holiday for a week with Primary school. 240 Year 8's are going - they are left to their own devices from 10am until 5pm!!! No packed lunches (like at Primary) they have to take money to buy what they want for their lunch. He has never been on a roller coaster but is planning to . I am keeping all this panic locked inside and keep telling him just how fantastic it is going to be

I know, deep in my heart, that he is going to be just fine and he is going to have a ball BUT I will be walking round the house quietly praying even though Im not sure I believe in God!!!

OP posts:
travellingwilbury · 16/10/2009 07:48

Bless you Shabs , those times when they are out of our control can be so bloody scary . I think most mums would be worried but with everything you have been through it is a miracle you ever even let him out the house .

I was convinced when we went to Blackpool last yr that I was going to go on the scary stuff , until I saw them . It was bad enough just watching

You are right he will be fine . If a little hungry . No doubt it will be a diet of sweets and chips all day (or am I judging him by my own shoddy standards ? )

shabbapinkfrog · 16/10/2009 08:35

That will be his diet for the day my love He has requested bacon butties for when he comes home and a big mug of tea

OP posts:
frasersmummy · 16/10/2009 14:24

aww shabs I think you are sooo brave to even let him go..its soo hard to let go when you have lost oine let alone 2

chegirl that must have been a real shock to get that in the post... i'm soo angry on your behalf

hope work meeting goes well tw

I watched that cill black interview the other day and cried too.. brought back a lot of memories but at the same time I thought if she is crying 27 years later then its normal for me to be crying 5 years on

I havent been around mcuh the last few weeks so I will catch up properly with everyone's posts in the next few days

thinking of you all and sending you all hugs

ThePrettiestStar · 16/10/2009 17:41

Not too far away then tw! We go to stay with my mum and stepdad every few months.

chegirl, sorry to hear about you getting that post, it's so insensitive.
I still get a magazine from the disabled association every 6 months despite me telling them several times that I don't need the magazine any more and sending my blue badge back. I've had it so many times that it's not a shock any more - and this for a two year old!

Shabba, I'm sure he will have a fantastic time, but it's always natural that you worry and you should never feel bad about it.

Been busy yesterday and today, DH's uncle died yesterday evening and is being waked until his funeral on Sunday so it's mad busy.

Love the halloween smileys

shabbapinkfrog · 16/10/2009 23:33

Been up to my best friends house for a few drinks - home for the last half hour. Tom has had a shower, washed his hair and had his supper!!! He is so excited about tomorrow. He wants to ask me a question but doesn't know how to say it think maybe there is a girl involved
