Poor thing, although it must be a positive step if he's keen to go on a school trip at the weekend!

shabbapinkfrog · 12/10/2009 22:18

I thought that and then I realised that the kids who are going have been virtually hand picked - for once, the clever, well behaved kids are having a treat (a treat that has cost us £25 so far!!!!)

Morning

There's a beautiful blue sky here. I don't mind the cold when it's like this.

woollyjo · 13/10/2009 16:25

Hope this will work, wasn't sure if there was anyone here who would be interested in this gentle pregnancy thread but though there might be.

xx

Congratulations woollyjo I'm so so pleased for you - fantastic news xxxx

I've been and met my boss today (at last!!) and he was really really lovely. Wants to do anything he can to support me back to work whenever i'm ready. It was such a positive meeting, I'm so so relieved as i'm starting to feel ready to get back and the chat today was so important as I really felt i needed his support.

woollyjo · 13/10/2009 19:52

Thanks folks,

Its such early days we daren't believe it. DH doesn't even want to talk about it until we have had a scan - I can understand that.

Peterpansmum I'm glad it went well today, I was lucky to have a really supportive boss too. Although I have been doing a few days a week for a while now I officially finish my mat leave on Sunday and am back to my full hours.

As many of you will understand, it has been quite a journey.

shabbapinkfrog · 13/10/2009 21:55

Morning all

I'm glad you got to have a meeting with your boss PPM and that it went so well for you

How you doing without your dh lighthouse? Mine left v early this morning and we'll see him again late Fri night. He was dreading it more than me actually. He hates being apart from us as it reminds him when he had to leave C and me in hospital when he had to go to work. I've made sure we've got lots of things to keep us busy in the daytime, then I'll be crashing into bed early and starfishing in our kingsize!

ThePrettiestStar · 14/10/2009 09:26

Morning everyone,

Congratulations woollyjo . I just read your other thread and send you all of my best wishes for this pregnancy.

It's freezing here, we are all sick and DS now on the most vile tasting antibiotics. We had to pin him down last night and blow on him to get him to swallow. I have to go and attempt it again now.

Thank goodness we don't have to go anywhere or do anything today.

We are in process of trying to buy a house - still waiting to hear about mortgage approval and yesterday we got an estimate from a solicitor for ?1500 more than our mortgage broker agreed with us! So waiting to hear if that is a mistake too....

Olissa · 14/10/2009 12:10

Hello everybody, congratulations Woollyjo, I've posted on your other thread too x

PPM, I'm glad you had a good meeting with your boss - it's a big step. I felt better for being back at work though, although in the end I was only back four months!

Freezing here too and everyone still barking like sealions with the minging cough - and this morning I tore DS's fingernail off trapping it in the stairgate. He's missing quite a few nails now (he has epidermolysis bullosa, it's a very mild form but he's still lost most of his toenails). I don't think you are supposed to injure your toddler with safety equipment, are you?

Hope everyone's OK and that Tom enjoyed Alton Towers Shabs.

Olissa · 14/10/2009 12:15

Oh, and I meant to say that I know a lot of you posted on a thread a few weeks ago started by a lady whose DS had been diagnosed with hydrocephalus and he wasn't expected to make it...

Not sure if you've seen, but he's here and doing well:

Sleepysox's thread

I hope Sleepysox won't mind, but it's lovely news and I wasn't sure how many of you would have seen it.

Thelighthousekeeper · 14/10/2009 17:57

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are doing okay ILIKE. I think the anticipation of DH going away is worse than the actual event. I have to say I've been keeping busy so it's been okay. It's also nice for a change that once both DD's are in bed I can flop on the sofa for the rest of the evening and not have to worry about getting dinner ready etc for when DH comes in later on! Having said that I can't wait for him to come back Friday night.Hope you have a good week until he gets back too. x

Thelighthousekeeper · 14/10/2009 17:58

I mean until your DH gets back not mine!

ThePrettiestStar · 14/10/2009 22:05

Well a cold day turned into a lovely fresh night.

Is it right that you are expecting snow in the UK?

Hope everyone is ok, night
