We are at stalemate on the subject of wakes. So i would appreciate the views of others on this. It's taken all day for me to pluck up the courage to ask

TOO SOON

This was a life
That had hardly begun
No time to find
Your place in the sun
No time to do
All you could have done
But we loved you enough for a lifetime.

No time to enjoy
The world and its wealth
No time to take life
Down off the shelf
No time to sing
The song of yourself
Though you had enough love for a lifetime.

Those who live long
Endure sadness and tears
But you'll never suffer
The sorrowing years:
No betrayal, no anger,
No hatred, no fears
Just love-only love-in your lifetime.

TiasMummy this is a poem that i read at a recent babyloss service.................

No problem my love. Its the only thing we can think of that we can do to support you and your family. We are with you in spirit - always remember that

runningoutofsteam · 21/10/2008 10:30

Tiamummy, A candle will be lit for Tia here in Essex at 11.30 on Wednesday morning. It must be of such very little comfort I know, but I'm sure you can feel the spirit of love and warmth from so many women here, across the country.

I have no true understanding of how this must be for you but I was with my sister when my nephew was stillborn a couple of weeks ago and nothing can hurt more than this. Please be gentle on yourself and expect nothing of yourself apart from simply getting through a minute at a time for now.

There are no words to give you comfort, to get you through tommorrow, but know there are many bereaved mums here who have been through this and who could wisely help to carry you through these days and beyond. Do keep posting, do join them on the bereaved mums thread.

Be thinking of you and your family tomorrow my love x

ilovemydog · 21/10/2008 10:44

Tiamummy - I have just tried to cat you (contact you by email through mumsnet but you are not registered to accept email).

I know only too well how hard it is to do anything at the moment, but please try to contact me - send just a blank email if you like - and I will email you back.

A candle will be lit here also for Tia tomorrow...in Hants. Will be thinking of you all tomorrow. xxxxxx

feedmenow · 21/10/2008 13:54

Tiasmum, the outfit sounds beautiful - she will look beautiful. x

Will have to bring my candle to work tomorrow, but it will be lit in memory of your gorgeous little girl.

I know that tomorrow is desperately a day that you do not want to live, that you do not want to be a day of your life, and although it does nothing to change what has become your path then at least know that we are all thinking of you and willing you our love and support. xx

mimulus · 21/10/2008 14:31

This is my first ever post on Mumsnet and am so sorry it has to be on such a heartbreaking subject. I have been moved to tears by your posts and also by the support you have been receiving from all the mummies who have sadly experienced the loss of a cherished little one.

I will light a candle for your beautiful daughter tomorrow here in Essex. I will be thinking of you and all your family xx

Tiamummy · 21/10/2008 15:14

It's suddenly started raining hard here, even though the sun is shining and out of my window i can see the most amazing bright rainbow.

OP posts:
Tiamummy · 21/10/2008 16:19

It's stopped as suddenly as it happened, and everythings gone quiet again, and the rainbows vanished. And i've gone cold
