I can’t sleep.

My husband was killed in a car crash today.

We’d just moved house and he was so happy.

You poor dear, the loss of a loved one is a terrible thing, especially when it is unexpected.
There are no words, grief is a natural process hunny and before you can grieve you need time to get your head around what has happened, of clurse be strong for your kids, but it sounds like they are grown up? And you are only human, break down if you need to break down, holding it in will not help, let your emotions flow out, theres a reason the body reacts this way.
Also seek some greif counselling, and join forums with ladies in a similar situation for comfort.
Above all take care of yourself and know that people want to help xxxxx

Try to remember to look after yourself - try to eat, drink and rest. It's easy to forget to care for yourself when you're looking after everyone else.

So sorry for your loss. There are mners who have been where you are now and come through it. I hope you can find some support. My thoughts are with you.

I lost my best friend in a RTA when I was young. We were both metalheads, and heavy metal was played at her funeral. May I ask what bands your DH liked? I could play some LOUD instead of lighting a candle...

So sorry for your loss and agree with other posters, the Tshirt will be perfect and make sure some of his favourite songs are played too. Don't worry about what people think, this is for you and your DCs to remember your DH and their Dad.

My parents didn't approve of the music we chose for my DH's funeral, too bad as it wasn't about them...although they thought it was.

You mentioned 'just moved house and he was so happy' wasn't it nice that he 'was' happy in those last days? Something nice out of all the horrible stuff.
