I can’t sleep.

My husband was killed in a car crash today.

We’d just moved house and he was so happy.

I don't have the words.... I'm just so sorry.

My mum was such a smart lady but dementia robbed her of tha in the last weeks, so I picked out for her a lovely teal green and black jacket, black sparkly top and black trousers. Just what she would’ve worn. I hung them up and took a photo.
I couldn’t bear to see her wearing them . My son did . Sent me a photo. I took a quick glance and then deleted it.

I think it’s good to have your loved ones wearing what they liked to wear.

Something you might like to do is keep a lock of hair.

I am so so sorry to hear this, if you want to tell us about what sort of person your husband is feel free to. Just do what you need to right now. There's no right or wrong way to grieve.

Op I'm so very sorry for your horrific loss.

My dp lost his father in tragic circumstances in the summer. He is going to his first counselling session today.

He was adamant that he would be strong for his dm but in the end he cracked and has started to grieve.
However you deal with your emotions/feelings there is absolutely no right or wrong way. You sound incredible.

This is MN at its absolute best, I hate seeing that something terrible has happened but when it does, the MN family is here in droves you prop you up and listen at anytime of the day or night.

Please look after yourself lovely, you will need to be so strong.

I’m so sorry to hear of your loss. My uncle died recently and his daughter had these made up from his jumpers and shirts. Something you can do with heavy metal shirts
