Yorkiegirl... I haven't expressed my sympathy to you before - I am so, so sorry that you have lost your dh! It must be so very hard. I don't know what else to say really, but I just wanted to respond to your thread. I hope you're okay.

you are going to miss him.
would it help to sit and look and some pics/watch a video and remember all the fab times you had together?

You're right - the pain can't be taken away. You have to be strong and brave and keep going - and, honestly, I've been awestruck by your posts on here. He is still with you, in your girls - and that's why you have to keep putting one foot in front of the other.

And I'm aware that all this sounds trite and like a cliche, and what the hell would I know as I've never been in your position - but it's what we do...we keep going, no matter how hard it is. But of course you miss him - you must feel dreadfully alone - and the hard thing is no-one can really help you with that - I wish we could.

Time does help the pain to 'ease.' It's just that we can't fast-forward it.
