We had to all sing to a stuffed toy though and shake his hand etc. Seriously, we all looked like prats. I was traumatised.

Greensleeves · 05/07/2006 19:19

We all hate you anyway cod, remember?

stoppinattwo · 05/07/2006 19:21

Ohh to be soo in tune with ones inner self
and bend your baby into the crab

FrannyandZooey · 05/07/2006 19:21

Different classes definitely attract different types of people. My heuristic play classes are chock full of lentil weavers even though I would love to get more 'ordinary' mothers involved.

The baby yoga classes round here cost a BOMB. I bet they were not just nobs, but rich nobs too (I am just jealous as I would have loved something like that)

stoppinattwo · 05/07/2006 19:23

love lentil weavers F&Z rofl

Beetroot · 05/07/2006 19:23

I shudder at the thought of any of those classes.

Alan · 05/07/2006 19:24

well you have you private yoga coach afterall beetroot

FrannyandZooey · 05/07/2006 19:24

I love them too, I make my living out of them

poisson · 05/07/2006 19:24

god we all REALLY htought htat our kid woudl becoem olympic athletes

i rememebr over hearign a mum at moors valley ( you knwo one toddle adn four adorign adults) saying to her dad
"well he has really good coordination because he does tumble tots"

AllieBongo · 05/07/2006 19:24

you should take your babies to have their ears pierced instead, much better bonding...

harpsichordcarrier · 05/07/2006 19:26

all first time mothers are nobs.
I realise now, rather belatedly.
who's Alan, pls?

Surfermum · 05/07/2006 19:26

That was me Poisson.

tortoiseshell · 05/07/2006 19:26

Great comment I heard 'I think he's going to be a professional drummer (aged 1 at this point...) - he loves hitting things.

poisson · 05/07/2006 19:26

adn none of them had stepped out of their leisure wear to glam up fgs

MrsJohnCusack · 05/07/2006 19:27

yes I am a first time mother and I fully admit to have been a nob on many occasions. we never went to baby yoga though because I saw a thing about it on Discovery Health and that put me off. Probably for the same reasons as you've given!

Alan · 05/07/2006 19:29

do you get meridian news?
i thought that was kent and sussex

poisson · 05/07/2006 19:30

SenoraPostrophe · 05/07/2006 19:30

I can't help saying things like "of course it's extra hard work for me because dd needs more stimulation than most babies seeing as she's so clever". It just makes me laugh, especially when people take me seriously. I think I may have a screw lose.

harpsichordcarrier · 05/07/2006 19:30

oh yes the delusion of the first time mother
"we can tell he is going to be bright, he is paying attention to everything"
(aged less than a week at this point.)
