An old friend in the US has named her baby daughter McCaa. The only reason I know it's a girl is because her middle name is Laura!

Yes, and will probably grow up to be a shitty teenager who constantly takes the piss

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 20:57

A right loo-ser no doubt.

cktwo · 27/03/2009 21:01

My cousin goes to school with a Chardonnaire - pronounced Chardonnay.

Everyone calls her Char

bluebump · 27/03/2009 21:02

FAQinglovely I have a cousin called Candida and she too goes by the nickname Candy. Christ knows what her mum was thinking naming her that!

I also know a Calendula.

We also had Tia Maria at my place of work.

notso it no good I thought I could get another one in but it seems your on a (toilet) roll

...shuffles off knowing she's just taken it too far...

PeppermintPatty · 27/03/2009 21:09

A girl at my secondary school was called Davra. Her parents were called David and Rachael, so they put their names together to come up with a name for their daughter.

tattifer · 27/03/2009 21:11

Sounds like a cheap guest house. There's one called Janbri a few miles away from here - answers on a postcard.

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 21:18

tattifer, I thought I had one but it's just gone down the pan.

Theres a few houses like that round here, Gazandra and Vinreen are my favourites.

MANATEEequineOHARA · 27/03/2009 21:28

I always thought Janbri had some kind of associatins with a carnival...!!! I now see it is not the case...

Gazandra is truely awful house name!!!

tattifer · 27/03/2009 21:29

Yeah but it means a lot to Gary and Sandra

Shoshe · 27/03/2009 21:30

I have to admit, that I had on my list, some of the names mentioned here!

Actually would still use four of them! (apart from being far to old to have anymore.)

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 21:34

Actually Gareth and Sandra moved abut 5 years ago, I think the new owners think it's Welsh or something!

TheCheeseAlarm · 27/03/2009 21:35

I taught a Tequila

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 21:36

What names Shoshe, I'll admit to having Sunny on list for one of mine, and to thinking I'd have a Harley when I was about 13.

stroppyknickers · 27/03/2009 21:36

Geronimo - overheard on the train. Poor little boy. I used to ride a farty little horse called Geronimo so can't help sniggering.

tattifer · 27/03/2009 21:36

I've drunk several in my time...

Shoshe · 27/03/2009 21:37

NSTAM most of the ones you posted in the family post !

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 21:48

Ah the nature names nothing to be embarrassed about then.

I was expecting Attila or similar.

Shoshe · 27/03/2009 21:57

No, if DD had been a boy she would have been Storm or Ocean, she was going to be called Skye - Blu, but changed our minds and was called Chynna Skye, DGd has one of DD's names as well.

notsoteenagemum · 27/03/2009 22:08

The Storm I know is a boy, I wouldn't have thought of it for a girl.

willowthewispa · 27/03/2009 22:10

I met a girl named China, spelled Tchii-Anna.

Shoshe · 27/03/2009 22:11

No If DD had been a boy she would have been called Storm.

(actually it was ExDH idea, was 91 and time of the first Gulf War in which ex was involved in, there was quite a few Storms around at that time)

Shoshe · 27/03/2009 22:14

OMG that is bad willow! my DD was named after Chynna Phillips from 80's band Wilson Phillips, who Ex Loved.

juneybean · 27/03/2009 22:42
