I was holding forth in a family restaurant about how how both of us liked the name 'Medea' but would never actually give it to our DD, because of the connotations.

A goth next to me chipped in with how he had been thinking of 'Imotep', but had rejected it.

When he left, he called out for his daughter, 'Come on Loki'!

RiaParkinson · 22/01/2009 23:26

Edgar is dreamy

CatchaStar · 22/01/2009 23:36

Gregor, Hamish and Leyland spring to mind. It's down to personal taste, but they seem so un-baby like.

A friend of mine named his dd Mikkaylah as well which I thought, was, well.......ummmmmm, yes, different? Not a fan of the name, but just thought the spelling made it worse, especially when he spelled it out for me.

wrongsideof40 · 22/01/2009 23:44

I'm sure I've put these up before but .... how about
Family 1 - Franklin, Amundsen, Hudson & Frobisher
Family 2 - Piers, sapphire , isis and Bruno

After the initial jaw - hits floor moment - they grow on you !

serin · 22/01/2009 23:58
