I don't think, in my adult life, I have ever sniggered at anyones name...well... not until reading this thread... however we get a lot of , and when we tell people our daughter's name...!!!

noonki...dh wanted to call ES Merlin...but I said NOOOOO....he is now called Sven, which probably a lot of people wouldn't consider any better, lol!
Dh wasnted to call ms Orion...again, I said noooo to that one...he is now called Yannic....FIL's reaction was...what would you wanna give the poor Kid an Eskimo name for, rofl....

never got weird reaction for ys who is called Flynn...just that people may call him Finn instead, but well...easy mistake to make...

My DH works with a guy whose children are called Gypsy and Pirate - yep it's TRUE! Poor things....

When a friend of a friend was pregnant they announced their choices as Elmo for a boy and Snow for a girl.

Ha ha, I really like Elmo, but I would never have gone for it because I concede it is TOTALLY ridiculous but I sort of admire their balls for going with it
