my surname which i have held onto post marriage.it's a hard one for people to forget.so it would have stuck whether i changed mmy name or not
i really can't tell as i know as i am well known locally and wish to remain anon here
sorry.

but it is quite funny. trouble is if you have a name like this you become known easily, and that can be a bad thing.
it is very hard to be anonynous.thats why i like it on here.
sorry.

My SIL had a teacher (a teacher) called Mr Smellie.

There is another teacher (teacher) round here called Miss Sidebottom (she's lovely btw).

DD thinks it would be funny if they got married....

Meanwhile DH wants DS1's pals XXXX Fish and XXX Cuttell to get wed!

I think my fave surname tho is from when I lived in the north East, where I knew a Helen Argument.

Quite common round there. She was a very nice lady actually!

My maiden name is Horlick.
Many jokes about Ovaltine, bed time drinks etc. at school. Then as we got older they got ruder. I changed my name when I got married, keeping my maiden name was never an option for me!
