We had a client once called Mr Handcock. Bad enough except that my colleague accidentally called him Mr Hardcock!

I seem to be doomed to a life with a surname containing a body part. I was a Robottom and now I'm married, I'm an Alcock. Both dreadful surnames but I reckon it's funny - bottom and cock, obviously a perfect match !!

verylittlecarrot · 26/02/2008 00:27

Randy Giezer.

true.

MrsJohnCusack · 26/02/2008 01:29

There is a road here in Melbourne called Ernst Wanke Road. I do snigger whenever I drive past it... Poor Ernst!

There was also a large family in the small town where I grew up whose surname was Wanke also but they all changed it by deed poll about 20yrs ago to Warneke.

smartiejake · 26/02/2008 06:49

One of my friends at school had the surname De'ath and his father was a doctor! (should have been an undertaker)

NotQuiteCockney · 26/02/2008 07:11

I used to work with someone whose surname was 'vom Scheit' or something - pronounced 'Vom Shite'. He was about to get married, but nobody could work up the nerve to ask ... 'so, is she taking your name?'

I also used to work with a 'long dong'. Well 'Luong Dong', but pronounced 'long dong'. Poor chap.
