My daughter has 4 Sophia’s in her class alone.

Also Rueben seems to be the most common boys name.

Sophia, Lucas and oddly Sam(uel). But if you're thinking about baby names remember the youngest children at school now were obviously born 4-5 years ago and a lot can change in that time!

Not sure about school but in both my sons years that 2 children have are boys (year 4) is Daniel and girls (now year 7 but in primary) was Rosie-May. I know 2 Maxs in whole school. Apart from that I don't hear any doubles.

I’m going back a few years now but 28 of us mums at one school fell pregnant in the space of one school year
all but one where girls-my mate called hers Sophie and mine was a Millie but every single other one was called Ruby
at one point,in a class of about 26 kids, half where called Ruby!
We’d moved away by then, but I heard it got very confusing for the poor teachers!
I thought I was being very unusual by calling one of mine Joshua-ten of them where born in the year after him and he was one of 6 in his year

Violettaa · 14/10/2022 19:38

Lyla/ Lila/ Lyra and Alex.

probably account for half the class, between them.

FreshCop · 14/10/2022 19:39

There was a short phase of lots of Nova and Luna’s.

I feel like Nova has dated really badly now.

I’ve never heard a Bertie being a nickname for Rupert? Is that common now, I can’t see how it’s a shortening? I like Bertie, but hate Albert!
