My daughter has 4 Sophia’s in her class alone.

Also Rueben seems to be the most common boys name.

The only repeated name in my daughter's year (one form entry) is Florence.

Otherwise, there seem to be a lot of Graces and Hugos among the rest of the school. Bizarrely I'm not aware of an Oliver or Olivia but I'm sure there must be some.

Elizabeth110100 · 14/10/2022 21:06

Olivia, Sophia and Leo. There are 5 Leo's in a year of 50 children.

RuthW · 14/10/2022 21:07

When dd was at primary school (she's 25 now) 20% of the girls in her three form entry year were called Emily.

When she was 6 she had 7 friends called Georgia.

AlternativelyWired · 14/10/2022 21:08

3 boys called Isaac in ds's class. No repeats of any of the girls or any other boy's names.

I am a Sophie and born in the early 70s.
i spent my entire childhood hearing « what an unusual / old-fashioned name ».

How times change :)

That exactly what everyone said about my dd's name in 1997. It's number 7 now!

MsTSwift · 14/10/2022 21:12

Teens every other girl is an Eve variant name. Avoid!

Quarar · 14/10/2022 21:13

We have some not so common ones
Rosalie
Agnes
Beau
Isadora
Nancy

I like them all.

VampireCat · 14/10/2022 21:16

Friend has three Amelias in her class. All pronounced differently. Surprised two people said Rueben, there’s only Reubens round here. We’ve got three boys with the same uncommon surname in one class, all unrelated!

ImissyouBR1 · 14/10/2022 21:16

Not many duplicates in my kid’s London primary. There’s a couple of Theo’s that’s about it.

alphasox · 14/10/2022 21:24
