Brother for Nirvana and Jude

We are looking for a brother name to go with older sister Nirvana and older brother Jude.
I am in love with both dc’s names,Nirvana was initially named after the band that me and dp both really love but when we looked into the meaning it just settled it for us, and with Jude we got inspiration from the beetle song

these are some names that we like but can’t use:
Hendrix-we didn’t love the nn options and we weren’t quite feeling it
Fender-we loved the connection to Fender amps and guitars but it didn’t feel like a complete name for us
Bowie- dp top choice right now with possible longer name Boden but we already have a Beau in our family who often gets called Bowie
Blues-family don’t feel like it’s a proper name to use
Indie-my top choice and I’m trying to convince dp
Fox-this is my second choice but don’t like the nickname possibly of foxy

We are quite settled on the middle name options either Michael or Beesley after my late grandfather

I'm not edgy but I find conforming foe the sake of a quiet life ridiculous. If what you want to do isn't illegal and doesn't harm anyone l, just get on with it.
Foe example, my having purple hair doesn't stop me being competent in many disciplines, all relative to office work, but apparently people don't think PA'S should have purple hair.
Not sure how that's edgy.

Where did I say anything about conformity? I just laughed at that post about the sign. Did you mean to quote me or the other poster?

Love the names of your two already!

And I really like Indie - probably even prefer Indigo.
Also like Axel.

@ZarquonsSandals not sure what kind of world you live in that you consider having purple hair ‘edgy’ 😂

I don't. I was referring to wording in an earlier post.

I'm not sure all the squabbling over semantics is helping OP, anyway.

I completely agree with this. But - equally - I find not confirming for the sake of it to be equally ridiculous. And (at least in my opinion) giving a child a name that will cause confusion/sniggers/questions at least once a day for the rest of his life is harmful to a child. At the very least, it’s probably going to be bloody irritating for him. (And yes, changing your name is possible. But it’s not as easy as changing your hairstyle - it’s a legal process and you’ll need to disclose “previous names” for the rest of your life. I know a chap who changed his name. Worked in a senior role in finance and was forever having to answer questions about it as it flagged up concerns about fraud.)

I always think of Indy as the male spelling and Indie as the female. I disagree with a PP that it’s a female name only! Indy Michael is lovely.

SmiledWtherisingsun · 12/06/2022 06:43

How about Bodhi op?

Thefoxsays · 12/06/2022 18:37

I meet many many different children in my job & I have met a Nirvana previously, I've also had Presley, Axel/Axl, Kurt, Indiana, Buddy, Woody, Buzz, Cohen, Jagger, Mac, Ace & Maverick.

Honestly, some names I read & think oh no why have they called their baby that. But usually that's when it doesn't go with the last name or the first name is spelt differently and it's hard for me to tell what it is for no good reason.

Zoomer122 · 14/06/2022 22:34

I just thought I would update everyone on here Nixon aka Nix is the final name we settled on for our love of Stevie nicks
it was between that and Fleetwood (didn’t think it would be very popular on mn and we thought it was a bit heavy with nirvana so we went for Nix)

Zoomer122 · 14/06/2022 22:37

sorry that autocorrected, we went for the spelling on Nickson

Has to be. Blue Michael was considered at one point…

Ducksurprise · 14/06/2022 22:44

Love Fleetwood, but congratulations on deciding Nickson. I also love Stevie Nicks

Chaoslatte · 15/06/2022 12:40

Nickson is a surprising choice. It makes me think of the right-wing president of Watergate fame. I wouldn’t have connected it with Stevie Nicks at all.

suckingonchillidogs · 15/06/2022 13:38

Um, how about just Stevie?

FolornLawn · 15/06/2022 14:48

Nickson would make me think of the president too, if I heard it rather than saw it written down.

midsomermurderess · 15/06/2022 15:24

Gwendolyn.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 15/06/2022 21:43

Nickson? This has to be a joke

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 15/06/2022 21:43

As in Nick's son
