Hi all so I posted a while ago looking for a baby name for dd as there was nothing that really stuck out. Now She's here 🤦‍♀️
Both myself and my partner like Ava rose but I do worry it might be a bit too common, opinions?
I also quite like MIla rose or even Isla rose.
Pic attached who do I look like?

Also my ds (5) likes Jessica and keeps begging me to call her this and my dp likes Paris

Loads of people use Rose as a 2nd name so yes there will probably be quite a few Ava Roses.

I don't like Ava personally.

Both of these are lovely! I'd go for Marie unless Rose means something to you or you have your heart set on it.

Thank you. I can't seem to get an attachment to a name. I find a name I love then when I say it enough times ( ie when people ask me what I'm calling her) I end up thinking no that's not her name🤦‍♀️

I don't have an attachment to the name rose no it's just a short pretty name that matches most first names. I actually have more of an attachment to the name Marie as that's my name and I wanted to call her after me as ds has my dps middle name. However I had my mind up a while ago about Ava and then when I suggested Ava Marie I got a lot of people point out that it reads Ave Maria so then it put me off🤦‍♀️ so I gravitated towards rose

Of your three Isla would get my vote but all a bit common ? (Over used)

Ava rose is a beautiful name! I have taught for 12 years and I've never taught an Ava. I don't think it is really that common!

Prefer Isla of your original 3 but when you said Jessica I thought oh yes she looks more like Jessica!

I also like Marie and the connotations wouldn’t put me off. Maybe as a first name?

Not heard of a Jessica in a while.

FWIW after DS was born there were two occasions in the first few weeks there I was convinced he was called something else. We hadn’t discussed either name.

If you love Ava Rose then use it! I used a top ten name and have never regretted it for a second. We rarely meet others with the same name.

If anything Ava was more universal ten years ago, I think.

Marie can't be a first name because it's mine. I didn't really wanna be too outing ( but who cares, I've posted nothing to worry about) so it would only work as a middle name. Although dp does think it's rather big headed to name her after me😉 maybe so but it would make a nice middle name
